Yeah, it's funny, wishing her a happy birthday on her anniversary because they're both the 23rd. Yep, yep, yep. Well, you know, a breeze can only take so much. Sometimes we're gonna do a brain fart and it just is the way it is. Anyway, thank you so much for your contribution. But yeah, when it comes to bicycling, there's also those adult three-wheelers which can help with balance and just get your legs moving. I saw folks in Yuma down in Grandma's community when she used to go down there on those and it's a good idea just to get moving. But anyway, it's another way of getting out there than a bicycle. Thanks so much for your check-in, Mr. Terry, and have yourself a good rest of your day. And I'm gonna open it up for another round in a moment, but first of all, just sort of answer my own question. In our family we have some fun traditions. Grandma, for example, has a birthday every year. She has waiting for me on the table a check, a check in the amount of the number of years that it's my birthday. So when I was a teenager, this was, you know, 14, 15, 16, whatever. And now it's, I guess it's adjusted for inflation. Anyway, so it's kind of fun. I told her those checks are getting a little more expensive for her and she lapsed, but anyway, so that's a fun tradition. Mine will be in a couple of weeks, but we celebrate both Grandma and myself. We both enjoy celebrating our birthdays and sharing with family. And so, but you know, like I said, I have a coworker and others that I know who do not celebrate, hence the topic. But you do not have to answer the topic of the day. To be anything is just a conversation opener, an icebreaker, if you will. So we're going to open it up for another round. Hopefully more folks are out there who haven't checked in or we have some rechecks. So come on in with your call sign twice slowly and in standard phonetics and let me know if you're mobile or short time. Let's open it up. This is Victor Alpha 6 in golf. Romeo Zulu. Yeah, it seemed more like May on real morning temperatures and have the house all open up again. So yeah, and Jeanette, so sorry you injured your ankle, my dear. And your birthday tomorrow, I've got your card ready to send. And the birthday date there got there faster. And I realize I didn't check my calendar. So anyway, hope you have a happy birthday. I had to unlock the computer. It was, uh, it became locked after inactivity there, uh, for a little while. But, uh, it's all done there now. Yeah, good morning to you, man. That was quite the list. Um, I was just, uh, sat back in the chair thinking, uh, when am I gonna come up? Because the bottom is, uh, it's got to be coming close soon. And then there was another couple and another couple. Man, it's like the list didn't end. Yeah, I tried out a new headset this morning. As a matter of fact, I tried it out on the Calibunga net earlier. And, uh, I was given a good audio report from it. It's, uh, technically a gaming headset. But I figured the things that it does good at gaming, uh, audio quality through the noise-canceling mics, and, um, audio quality through the headphones itself, um, were good. Uh, extremely good. As a matter of fact, I was very impressed. I had never put on a headset in my life that sounded as good as this thing does. And, uh, for anybody that's interested in knowing what it is, it's called the SteelSeries. That's the brand name, SteelSeries. And, uh, it's an Arctis Nova 5. An arctis, just spelled A-R-C-P-I-S. It's an Arctis Nova 5 wireless. So, I highly recommend, uh, out to this station for sure. Let me tell you, it's, uh, my favorite headset ever. And that's saying something, because I've got just around my desk alone, there's five headsets. And this thing smokes all of them. Absolutely every one of them, so. If anybody is interested in a good headset for, uh, Echo Link or All Star, or, um, you know, pairing with your phone for listening to music, it's, uh, it's two-mode. It's Bluetooth, but it also comes with this little dongle that enables 2.4 gigahertz, uh, zero-latency mode. So, if you want to use this headset while you're watching a movie, or playing a game, or watching a TV show, there's zero latency, so your audio from your mic will line up perfectly with the, uh, audio from the, you know, your surroundings and stuff, in the game, or in the movie, or whatever. So, um, highly recommend these things. Uh, anybody that's interested in getting a new headset, the mic is excellent on it. Uh, at least as far as I've been told, I'm using it right now, so you can let me know. This is repeater station Kilo Kilo 10 in November for the All Star Note 6222. It's, uh, it's retractable, so it's just pushing, it goes right inside the headset, you don't even see it. Uh, which makes it really good, you know, for listening to music and stuff, too, because you don't have this, uh, mic that's in your way. So, other than that, uh, my advertising is done for today. 7-3, everybody have a great day. Uh, we get nice weather here on the Rock. I'm going out on the deck to relax with smoke and, uh, some very loud music. 7-3 from here on the Rock, this is EO1, UKZ. Okay, Darrell, yeah, that sounds interesting. Uh, I may, uh, need to get another headset here myself. Uh, I've got, uh, Turtle Beach, uh, that's what I've been using for quite a while, and the, uh, coating over the, uh, ear pads that are coming off, so, uh, this still works okay. If I can get my, uh, laptop to, uh, work with it, but, uh, anyway, uh, yeah, that sounds kind of interesting. I'll have to check on those, so, uh, thanks a lot for the information. Alrighty, you have a great day, and, uh, we'll talk to you later. I'm going to try, uh, another round here. Uh, please give me a call, uh, slowly and phonetically. Give me a call at least twice so I can get everything written down. My, uh, old pencil hand is, uh, awful slow, so, uh, like me. Anyway, this is DERR, NAC Control with the World Wide Friendship. We're here 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Different neck controller every day, so there you go. Alright buddy, thanks a lot for checking in, enjoy your Saturday there in in Connecticut. Alright with that let's move on down here to 27 D.C. Hey, Miss Gina how you doing? Well good morning there Art, and everybody else out there on the worldwide friendship net this morning from the sunny Portland, Oregon. I think we're getting in the upper 80's today. Last night we went down to Salem and watched the Portland Pickles Summer League Baseball team beat the Merrion Berries in our first game of the playoffs. So tonight they're coming up to Portland and we're going to be headed to go see them and cheer on our pickles again. Before that we're going to the Clark County Fair, see all the wonderful 4-H exhibits and the animals and watch the tough truck competition. I love that one where they drive a course for time but the course is made to destroy the vehicle so parts go flying off and things break. They're lucky to finish it sometime. So been doing that for a few years and continuing on going up there to watch it with some friends today and enjoy some fair food and take in like I said all the animals and 4-H projects there. So everybody take care, have a wonderful Saturday and I'll talk with you all later. This is Gina in Portland, K87 GEC 73. Alright Gina, alright well glad you guys enjoyed the minor league baseball league game last night and I always wondered is, you call them the pickles, are they sweet pickles or are they sour, grubby pickles? So there you go. Alright Gina and enjoy the fair, enjoy the fair. Every time I hear somebody out that way say Clark County I kind of think I'm out here because we are in Clark County here in Ohio. So there you go. Alright and enjoy the demolition derby. I like watching them on YouTube so I've been catching them on the 2025 season of all the demolition derby fairs around Ohio and around the country here. So there you go. Alright you take care and we'll see you in 73 G. Have a good one. With that let's move on down to the KC7 LRS and KC7 JST. And it'll be Joyce and Joe. Hey good morning. Good morning. Good morning there. Joe and I are kind of late here. We didn't go outside and Joe doesn't have his radio and so wow we're behind times here. Just going to have a lazy weekend and my friend Rose he'll be over later. Late afternoon spend the night and we'll always have some fun, good times and laughs. Nothing else earth shattering or anything so just still hot, hot steamy Phoenix and no rain in sight and a big forest fire still going. Probably the biggest one in Arizona history. Very, very mismanaged fire. I think should have been out a month ago. But anyway, that's the way it goes. So, and Rosie get feeling better with that ankle and Missy too. That's no fun. Everybody take care and I'll turn it over to Joy. This is KC7 LRS. Hey, good morning there gang we had to share HT here this morning. Anyway, on a lighter note the pool is 88 degrees so it was gorgeous yesterday afternoon. And it's essentially 100% shade at four o'clock in the afternoon so from there on you can swim clear till midnight if you want. Anyway, on this M drive thing, you know that the unit came and network accessible storage got four drives in it and a computer for storage. And it was supposed to be refurbished. Well, it doesn't work. And I found about 12 things I think that are broken in there, a little pieces of plastic came out the size of a nickel. When I unpacked it for our drives are two of the four our guys were were pop pop partway out of their slots, when I opened the box. And all of the was a crush newspaper they put in there and four or five of those bubble packs and they were all exploded. So, anyway, I'm going to try to get my money back. And they want me to send an email so I've been composing an email and it's going to blister their, their ears with the facts of what they did wrong, specific things that are broken in the unit, as I inspected. And obviously it doesn't work more than you ever wanted to know so I'm going back to my coffee, tasty seven ghd, but we'll listen. Hey Joe Joe Yeah I know it goes with your stuff and get there and it's not all there or it is part of it is broken so there you go. And you gotta fight with everybody to get your money back or get traded in for different stuff there so. Go back to your coffee. Alright, Joe Joe Joe thanks a lot for checking in. And we will talk to you later. I am looking for support checking. So please come reach your call site slowly infinitex it twice. And if you are short time or mobile and let me know and I'll get you to stop the list. So with that, please come now."},{"callsign_confidence":1.0,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-09T08:03:20+00:00","id":15422,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":15421,"text":" So I don't like driving. Just times that I just don't mind too. So there you go. I'm just getting too old, I guess. But it's not a stuff like that. I'd rather just stay home myself. But all right, you take care. We're dead here. Let's go down to another reject. K-E-6-W-K-O. Hey, go ahead, Kathy. Uh, K-E-6-W-K-O, Kathy. Um, you know, you have a computer with platters now. There's four platters in the, in the, uh, computer was surprising because I watch the YouTube. There's only supposed to be one platter. The guy, but there was four. There was three sort of in the bottom of it. But no, there are platters. I'm not gonna use a computer anymore, that's so. But I was, you know, I have photos. But they're all in USBs and external archives. I've got to put that in my computer. external archives, I don't have it. I think my beneficiaries can hook them up to their computers and get the photos off. And be careful with OneDrive, because I had confidential information up there that should not have been up there. I had a list of state stuff, and on the bottom I had my computer password. That was up there. On OneDrive, it automatically used new computers and they just seemed to go up to OneDrive unless you turn it off, and it's another backup. But they can't guarantee security on their server. But I am too old for it. It's too complicated, I'm too old. I'm quite happy with my iPad and my iPhone. And so I found my timer. I stuck my timer in a fake place next to my ham radio in the second bedroom, and now I have a timer. I'm gonna quickly tell you one other story. I don't know if you have a Fitbit watch, but I've been cleaning out my house a lot, going up and down step stools and stuff like that. And they gave me a warning that I was having atrial fibrillation. They gave me it several times, and I was supposed to let my doctor know. And they had it all printed out. They sent me a notification. But my pulse went from 40 to 150 apparently, several times. Now I have a 40 pulse because I take a bed of blocker for PBST, which I have a skinny heart, which gets fast. So anyway, I photocopied to my doctor who had me come in and do EKG yesterday and lab work, and they're all normal, except I have a low pulse, which they know because I take a bed of blocker. And because if I don't take a bed of blocker, my pulse goes really high and gets skimpy, and I don't give enough blood to my head. But it's not life-threatening, which, it may seem not life-threatening compared to arterial fibrillation, which can be. You can die, it's very life-threatening. So anyway, so that was interesting. I had never done a notification from Fitbit, ever, and I've had this thing over 10 years. And so, but I was like, everything was normal, and I'm fine. And I had to be careful with an espresso coffee because I was drinking two a day, and that's why I'm so energetic cleaning up my house, and it has a lot of caffeine. And that, so I can only have one cup. So that's my little story, added story. So anyway, it's nice listening to everybody. I'm gonna give it back to you. I have 29 seconds in KG6, WKO. Back to you, exit 73. All right, here, Candy, all right. 29 seconds to go, so there you go. You should have just ran it out. All right, Candy, all right. You take care, and yeah, I got two Windows 10 computers here and I'm not willing to upgrade. I don't care if they do not support them after October. So there you go. Until they totally break down and stuff like that, I'm gonna use them. I'm gonna use them till they both die, obviously. So there you go, they're useful, useless. So there you go. All right, I can't afford a new computer anymore. I'm not like my kids or my grandkids. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. But I do take funny girls on trees. You can ask my wife on that one. So we're in, I'll say 73 to you, you have yourself a great day. Let's move on down to another reject, JB7PDW. Go ahead, Santa. Well, I think that might be a record for rechecks. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Yeah, I was just trying to fill in some time. I'm gonna go and fix myself some breakfast. I tried something new. Take a baked potato, may I say a medium sized one, and wash it off. And take a paper towel and wet it and wring it out and wrap the potato up in the paper towel and put it in microwave for five minutes or so. If it's a larger potato, maybe six or seven minutes. I don't know. But I'm gonna go out there now and slice it up and have me some fried potatoes with my eggs this morning. We'll see how it goes. I'll let you know. JB7PDW, back to net. This is repeater station, 707 November. All right, yeah, well, fried potatoes, eggs. Yeah, cook up some stem to go with it. So there you go. Or bacon. Or sausage, there you go. All right, buddy, you take care. Go enjoy your breakfast. And we will talk to you later. All right, the last one on this list is KC7LRS. Good morning, Joyce. I was gonna come up with something, but I couldn't think of it. Oh, OK. That was good timing. I just left the room here, and it might be back any minute. So I was just gonna say, Joe, sure wish you had some videos of you being the karate kid, karate guy. And with some of those side leaves, that must have been something to see. Wow. And anyway, Roy and Sue and Lily appreciate that lovely wedding photo you sent there of the family, wedding, and a beautiful scene. So we're envying you and thinking of you on that beautiful, beautiful coast. So enjoy for us, for sure. So that's all I wanted to say. So everybody have a good weekend, KC7LRS. And here comes Hilda the Roomba. Back again. All right, OK. All right, thank you very much. For your rejection. And stuff like that. Yeah, it does get a little bit quieter out there at certain times of the morning. But that's all right. That's all right. All right, I see a couple pop up here and there. So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna try this one. M7WCC. Hey, baby. And like I said, we'll go with Joyce there, KC7LRS from KD7GECMNET. Good morning. Good morning there, Gina and everybody on the net. And yeah, Rosie's going to be getting up here pretty quick. I stayed overnight with Ms. Ginn, had a great fun evening. And Joe is busy getting something ready to send back. It was all broken and he had to order. So anyway, kind of a busy morning and a hot one. I don't think we'll go out on the porch this morning and just have some brekkie and get the day started. And so that was quite a close call. It would be a wonderful deal for Bud there and his friends gambling. Wow, that was something. Anyway, Enroy and Sue have continued to have a great time over there. I had a dream last night. It was so vivid. It was over on the coast and I could even smell the air. So I thought, boy, I could have more dreams like that. Anyway, everybody have a great day to day. And back to Gina, KC7LRS. All right, Joyce, always glad to get you in on the net here and hopefully you have a wonderful day. Stay cool there on the porch with your friend Rosie. And hopefully the item that needed to be returned got all sorted out yesterday and get that back in the mail for a refund. So you have a good rest of your Sunday. Glad to get you in with us today. And now we'll go to the top of the list with Mr. Terry, 807MR. Good morning. Good morning from Alpha Alpha Seven Micromio. Joyce, I almost sound like a spirit walker. Experience. Yeah. When I was really young, I was luckily out of it. I did stuff like that because I went places with my mom and dad for some reason. I felt like I had been there before. But anyway, we're going to go get you. We got ourselves all washed off. We washed off a lot of good stuff. I checked on the FTX1F 100 watt and the 5 watt looks like they're going to be a little bit out of my budget. My son will die when he gives me some money. Oh, shame. I shouldn't expect that, should I? Anyway, we got a lot going on here. Looks like we got sunshine coming over the hill. There's sunshine around the trees that I can see through the window. One thing that I keep opening on the window. With that and good to hear everybody out there, this is Alpha Alpha Seven Micromio. Before I start, there it comes. This is the stuttering. I guess it's going to be a singing day this afternoon. Back to the group from Alpha Alpha Seven. I'll take a trip and that leaves a ration. Have a great day. I'll be listening to Alpha Alpha Seven. I'll call me on back. Alright there, Mr. Terry. We're glad to get you in the net here. Do you have a good rest of your Sunday? Always good hearing from you. Next, I've got Pappy in 7RHB from KB7GEC in the net. Good morning. Good morning to you too there, Gina. And everybody else here on the friendship net. So yeah, I just spent the majority of the day yesterday just watching the grandkids. Or the grandkids and their friend, I should say. He cut apart his quad because he bought a bigger engine for it. He needed to weld it all back together. Can he use your weld or grandpa? They say it. I'll be watching you. We got it pretty much all back together again. There's still some areas he wants to fill in and strengthen a little bit. We ran out of wire. Got about another row of wire before we could do anything else. And I said that's on him because he's up my whole row. Probably better than half a pound worth. Anyway, thank goodness it's not too overly expensive. Kid actually, I wasn't sure if he knew what he was doing, but he did all right. So a couple of places I assisted. So, you know, make sure you got it, project. Grandpa, the big grandkid got on it and it didn't break. So yes, it's pretty sturdy. Anyway, that's what I did. Then I went and made a hamburger for dinner and said to heck with it. I was done for the day. So there you go. It looks like it's over. It's going to be a little bit cooler. Nice day out there. So anyway, have a good one everybody. And we'll grab that micro-ban wipe over here. I found some. Now there's no overspray. So we just wipe the mic down with the micro-ban wipe here. 99.9% germ free from the next 24. And seven RSV. Back to that. All right there, Papi. Well, thank you for the clean microphone and those wipes sure are handy. So it sounds like quite the project there. Welding the quad once you got the bigger motor in. But with your supervision it sounds like it got completed mostly. And it held up to the sit on it test. So do have a good rest of your Sunday and thanks for taking time to be with us this morning. All right, next I've got Bill. Bill VA6GRZ from KV7 GEC of the Met. Big morning there, Bill. KV7 GEC VA6GRZ. Good morning, Gina and everybody on the Met. We've got 18 degrees right now. High of 25 and 65 and 77. And cloudy and a little bit of sun. 60% chance of showers and maybe a thunderstorm. But it's been a few days since we've had one. And luckily the grandkids came over yesterday and helped mow the lawn for us. We'd wacked the edges. And a couple of other spots. And I had my physiotherapy appointment. And we're switching to walking with a cane. Although I may keep using my crutches because there's times when my foot is a little bit overworked and painful at times. So I've got to take it easy on it still. I figure next week we'll start walking without the boot. But I don't know. I'm still on the fence about it. I see my surgeon at the end of the month. So there we go. And what else? Not much else going on today. So we did our rooster shopping yesterday. And we went to Ben's Meats. They opened up a new location closer to us. And they got a deli in there as well. We spent almost $90 on just four items yesterday. We even got a... Yeah, we picked up a T-bone steak as well. It's been marinating since yesterday so we're looking forward to cooking that tonight. Probably better than the stuff we normally get at the supermarket. So, anyway. Yeah. Glad your pickles are doing well. I don't know if the Blue Jays beat the LA Dodgers yesterday. So, here we go. 73, everybody. Have yourselves a good day. GED 7, GEC VA 6, GERS. Here in Edmonton, Alberta. Alright there, Bill. Sounds like you're doing well with your physical therapy there. And walking around with your mobility and using the cane there probably a little faster. So hopefully that continues to go well. And enjoy that T-bone there for dinner. Always good hearing from you. Alright, up next, I've got Roy in Florence, KD 7, WA. Good morning."},{"callsign_confidence":0.94,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-11T07:46:32+00:00","id":16110,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":16109,"text":" Alrighty, I don't think he's there. It ain't YQJ. Waffle, you still out there? Final thoughts from now. This is KC2, BKG. Hey, Dre. Very good timing. I just pulled into my parking spot here at work. And, uh... You know, it doesn't matter if somebody wants to talk smack about me because I don't let the little things bother me. You know, my girlfriend's read this book. It's called Let Them. And my take on Let Them is totally different than hers. I tell her, I say, No, you don't let them. You put them in their place. If it takes breaking their arm, you break their arm. Right now, you know, we don't have the same opinion on Let Them. And the whole book is about how people might talk smack about you, so forth and so on. But I was raised totally different. If somebody has a beef with you, you know, you had it off. So if somebody, you know, was to... Didn't like my opinion and was talking smack on me, whether it's in the text box or whatever the case may be, it would affect me or affect how I come back to the color of Bonginette. And I would just tell them, you know, I think you're an idiot. That's all there is to it. And, you know, don't let someone else dictate what you want to do in life. I mean, it wouldn't stop me from coming back to the color of Bonginette, but that way. Things doesn't bother me too bad. I guess it's because if someone doesn't like me, that's not my problem. That's their problem or a comment that I made. But, you know, I'm the type of person that likes everybody. Somebody really has to do something pretty bad to me for me not to, you know, like them. Let me buy a minute. And whether I like a certain individual or not, it's not gonna affect how I interface with the color of Bonginette. If somebody wrote something about me in the text box, that's not my problem. The majority, 99% of the people that's out here on the color of Bonginette, I think is phenomenal. I love to listen to their opinions, their topics. I like to listen to their opinions. I like the fact that you keep everybody informed about what's going on in the news grade because I don't get the opportunity to watch the news that much. But it's all the above that I enjoy the color of Bonginette and whether I have a chance to check in or not, I listen way more than I have the opportunity to check in. But there's not gonna be one individual out here, whether they talk smack about me or not, gonna determine whether or not I enjoy this net or my opinion of what I have to say. But I am one that if I don't like what somebody commented on, I'm not gonna be open over it. It's not my place. So, you know, I guess that's my thoughts, you know, my final thoughts. Gray, I'll turn it back to you. I'm grabbing my backpack and heading towards the break room. I'll be doing nothing but setting all day. I'm number seven to go out, so I'm pretty sure I'm not going anywhere. Thank you, Gray. Great, Nat. I was listening for quite a while. I wish I would have been able to check in earlier to enjoy the, you know, the trivia that you had. I call it trivia, but I think you know what I mean. Back to you, Gray. N-A-Y-Q-J? N-A-Y-Q-J. Thank you very much. And I think the pop quiz is gonna stick around for a while. This question's right from the New York Times. So if you know the answer to those, like you're getting your information straight, it's nice. K-M-4-Q-B-C, are you still out there? Did you get ignored to death? If you did, it was my fault. So Jeff, final thoughts or initial thoughts and then final thoughts. Over to you, Jeff. K-M-4-Q-B-C. K-C-G-P-K-G, Gray. K-M-4-Q-B-C, Jeff here in a rainy, smoking out. It's western North Carolina. Hey, Gray, I appreciate the net. I was kind of drifting in and out the whole time. I'm trying to wake up. I turned it on when it first started and I was like bam, out for a solid hour and then I kind of drifted in and out from there on through the morning. But just a busy, busy night in Jackson County last night and I had two DUIs, drug charges, and it must have been a full moon because we had three commitments last night, people just going totally off the rails. So we got a really good feeling there on everybody addressing concerns that people have here on the net. And I think just from what I've heard, you've got a couple of witnesses there that really heard or saw what was going on. So I would give that person a good storm warning at least. And if it's enough to get them off, then go ahead and ban them. But I'd give them a warning. If it happens again, you're gone. That's what I tell them. But anyway, I know that Bill and Dale and others that they confer with will definitely make the right decision and the most appropriate decision because I know that everybody likes everybody. Get that. That's it. It's all good and I hope people keep coming back. It's what makes the net. I appreciate you, Greg, and hopefully I'll get up in the morning. I do have to work, dang it. Tomorrow I got another 24 hour shift, Tuesday and Thursday, but I'll try to check in. Take it easy from the great Smokies, K-M-4-Q-B-C, 73. Thanks for everything, Greg. K-M-4-Q-B-C, thanks for joining us this morning, man. So it was nice to have you in it. I'm sorry they worked you so hard. And if we ever get to do that interview, I wanna know all about that. That's what I think is the right subject. Of course you can pick your own. All right guys, that's at the bottom of the list. We did it. We did another successful Monday Calabunga net, which always gets, well, especially when the summer starts slow, but you got very busy at the end. Very, very busy. It's always a privilege and a pleasure, guys. I hope to hear you all tomorrow. And I'll be there. I'll be there. So without further ado, I'm gonna say this is PC2-PKG. The handle is gray. And I'm coming off of Gardner Lake in eastern Chaius, Maine. And I am over and out. Welcome to the Michigan Conference, number 96170, located in Western Michigan. And probably we won't even have 100 out here. We are so lucky. We're in about the coolest area of the Phoenix Valley and being the irrigation that we have. So we'll probably be in the mid 90s. We're about anywhere from seven to 10, 11 degrees less than downtown Phoenix with all the pavement. So we are very, very blessed of having the greenery and the cooler temperatures. So anyway, I think that was a bit about it. And then Joe is really busy right now trying to get this letter off email before eight o'clock. So everybody take care. And Rosie there too. You take care and have a good week. KC7 LRS."},{"callsign_confidence":0.98,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-13T08:09:04+00:00","id":16653,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":16652,"text":" Good morning Robert, it's sure nice to hear. Welcome boys again and our best to Kathy, give her our love and get feeling better there girl. Oh, we're sitting out here in the porch again, the humidity isn't near as bad this morning as it has been. Probably going to be, probably 102 or 103 today I guess. So, it's still dry and the forest fires still going on. When I think of all that rain that poor Larry got, it's such a terrible time to die. Really, yeah, Joe was cringing when he heard Larry's story there. But all that worked so hopefully everything will turn out. But we just can't get any rain here. August is supposed to be a very stormy, windy, rainy, humid month. And where we get our moisture. But something's definitely happening and changing here. So this is the third summer in a row. Dry, dry, dry. So, just to hear that rain again and to smell the air, it would be a wonderful treat, it sure would. Anyway, we've got kind of a busy medical week this weekend and we're going to be going over to Scottsdale today for Joe's stem cell treatment on the back. And we'll pray that that's going to help. And what else is new? Oh, I forgot to tell Joe. I was trying to send these two pictures that I took this spring of the two UFOs that were overhead and a doggone thing. It wouldn't send and the pictures wouldn't come up so I've got to check on that. But anyway, I was just going to send that out to a few. And I wish I could have gotten a real good, clear picture because you can see a pattern underneath that circular round ship. But it just needs to be a lot more clear. But anyway, I just wanted to send that out. I'm a definite believer I've got some real stories. As I mentioned in the letter, it's the 50s and 60s. So I've seen them and I know people have definitely seen them. And more. Anyway, everybody take care. I'm going to hide a Rosie coming up and Bud. And Bud and Rosie were after me there, Robert. KC7 LRS. Over to Joey. Good morning there, gang. KC7 GHD going high tech here. We're still trying to. And Larry, oh my goodness. I've been there and done that. And my bigger concrete will be fine if you did cover it up and the covers didn't blow off. And they didn't drain it right next to the forms. Three inches. Holy mackerel. And the concrete will still set up great. So you won't have a problem there as long as it didn't wash away. So I think the covers will be fine. I sure want to know though when you finally pull the cover off. Oh boy. And Robert, you know that toilet seat cover is going to be going up and down a lot more now that you're buried there, buddy. And let's see what, oh, oh yeah, it's really good that our great president is cleaning up Washington, D.C. Within the next two weeks, all the homeless are going to be out of there. They're giving them a choice. Either take the help or giving you free help and everything, no matter what your problem is, will help you. If you refuse and don't want to go, then you're going to jail. So those are the two choices. Yeah, should be pretty clear. Anyway, it's going to be great. So we're out here on the porch again and trying to enjoy the day. It's not too bad. We've got a little band going. Of course, it's better inside the house, but it's just good to listen to the net out here. And the birds and watch the kitty cats and the birds roaming the fence and stuff like that. Anyway, back to neck control. KC-78C. Yeah, good on D.C., that's for sure. And we were, not to get you political, but we were watching some videos about the crime rate. It's higher than any third-world country, believe it or not. The murder rate is. And so that ought to clean up. Yeah, we were tentatively planning a trip to the Smithsonian to see a couple of old historical cars. All the news from D.C., it's curious. I can imagine what tourists think of that crumbling city. Anyway, the toilet seat. One of the compliments I got when I first got married was from my wife, who said she loves the fact that the toilet seat is down. Oh, you know what, I hate to say it, but I'm going to talk a second about my license renewal. Because you guys had such a hard time, it made me think, oh man, I don't want to go through it. But I got on the CORE, C-O-R-E-S. You can't renew your license, I guess, unless you go to the system. And I have my FRN, but obviously I had set up a password and all that stuff before, and I don't remember the password. And it won't let me change it. It's unbelievable. So I can't renew my license. I wonder if I could do it by mail. Anyway, that's what I've been going through. Anyway, it's good hearing you. I love birds. Really, really good hearing from both of you. And yeah, sorry it's hot and dry there. It's been just the opposite here. There hasn't been a day in the last month without any rain. So you love birds, take care. And we love having you. We really do. PE4YYL is up next, the Queen of Canada. Do we have fever? Can you take that bus first, please? I will do that. Fun. Good morning to you. K5EWH? I wonder if I got that right. K5EWH. Something like that. Good morning, bud. Good morning, Robert and everyone on the net. And thank you, Rosie. I was having difficulty getting in today. And Robert, the call sign is K5EWH. My initials have a vanity call sign. And I wasn't on the net yesterday because I had some medical stuff going on. I won't go into a lot of details, but Joyce and Joe know the details. But I had the stem cell treatment on my back yesterday afternoon. That was my second of them. I went to appointments yesterday. And that went well. And after an hour and a half, Jeannie and I left that office. It's not in the hospital. Our clinic is actually in the doctor's office with two doctors. And she got the second half of her stem cell treatment on her lower back. And I had my full stem cell treatment on my back. Recall that I had done that treatment on my feet about two months ago. It went incredibly well. I won't go into any more details. And then on the way home, we stopped at Costco to get gas and groceries and that kind of stuff. And the office where the treatment is done is in the Scottsdale area, which is, I'll just say roughly an hour northwest of here. And so a lot of driving. But everything went well. It was very hot on the way back. And we got the groceries and filled up my fuel tank at Costco on the way home. And then came home and she could get cheese crisps for dinner last night. Really nice. I tore it to you when she used to. And chili and some truffle. And then I washed a little bit of TV and then I fell asleep. Anyway, that's about it for today. Good to hear all my friends. And I'll serve the net back to you, Robert. Thank you for being a good net control. You know, the others are going back to our QQ. Have a super day, everybody. You have a super day as well. Thank you for joining us. I had no idea that you had a call sign. I don't know what the first name was, but it was. You can only guess. Oh, by the way, say hi to Chini. It's so nice to cook you dinner. That's wonderful. Oh, by the way, I didn't respond to Joe mentioning the stem cell treatments for his back. And I pray that they work. I really do. I really, really do. For both of you. And I think it's a miraculous procedure if you can get that working for you. Good luck with that. And we'll say a little prayer for both of you. Up next is the Queen of Canada, as aforementioned. GE4. Young, young lady. Twice as young. Good morning. Do me another favor, please, Robert. Take Chris. He just came back. And then take Woody and then after that, take me, please. All right, good."},{"callsign_confidence":0.94,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-12T07:39:53+00:00","id":16394,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":16393,"text":" Sun shining out there, it's gonna be near 100 degrees today here in Sherwood Forest. So I've gotta go and do rehab here in about an hour. But it won't get hot until about noon, so I'll be doing the rehab and do a little shopping and get back home before it gets really hot. But that's it from Sherwood Forest. Yeah, Roy, you're lucky you're not over there in Salem. It was 101 yesterday, I think. So I wish I was over there with you. KV7PEW, back to there. This is repeater station Kilo Kilo 7. November, Quebec, November. I wouldn't want to be there either. No, you wouldn't. Hey, Sal, oh man, I'm done with summer, man. I want to just go back down to 70 degrees, you know. I'm done. Alright, I'm at the bottom of my list, ready to take some more check-ins. WB7, W7, BTM, I think that's how this goes. Anyway, good morning. Good morning, and just to be clear, it's Whiskey 7 Bravo Tango Mike. I think you had that right. Anyway, thank you for taking my check in, and what a glorious morning. This is my favorite time of year. I love the soaking heat of late August. Even during the day on these hot days, I'm in Tigard, so it's going to be another 100 degree day, but I'm out on the porch early with my coffee, and it's 68 degrees, and just glorious. So, yeah, I love this time of year. And even on into September and even October. As you all know that live here, the rains will come, and starting in November, it's a whole different type of living. But I'm taking it while I can get it and really enjoying it. I'm having a lot of fun. Quick break. I'm back. Well, some fun. Diagnosing the furnace in my ancient Winnebago. It would not ignite on my first trip this summer. Hopefully it will work on my next trip in September. But, you know, these old folk girls, mine's 40 years old. You've got to have them. They require a lot of tender, loving care to keep you on the road. But that's part of the fun. Anyway, thank you very much, and back to net, and let that long list of other callers have at it. Yeah, it's cool down on this. I think it's probably gonna be in the 70s today. A couple days the other day we had three days of 99 degrees. But we got a new air conditioner, so we're all good here. Yeah, I gotta go to rehab here in a little while. Do my 2,000 steps and everything. And then maybe I'm gonna go to Costco and see what I can get in trouble with. Head back home, have lunch. That's about it for Mel, signing out. AB7, TVW, back to you. All right, Mel, thanks for coming in and wishing you the best success and getting through that rehab there. And hope that appointment goes real smooth for you and you'll be able to be on demand and ready to rock and roll with us. Hopefully next year we'll catch you at CPAC. If I can go then I'm trying to get something going here. All right, we're clear with KV-70s and PBW. And next we have KZ7 LRS. KZ7 GHD down there in Arizona. Morning folks, we call them the Arizona lovebirds. The mic is yours, Joyce and Joe. Good morning there, Dale. Great hearing you, doing a great job as always. And good hearing everyone, all our friends. And just not hearing the porch, a little bit humored, but oh well. Not too bad. And probably will be maybe 100 today out here, I'm not sure. Had some lightning last night, but no rain. But tonight and tomorrow we got 40 and 50% finally I guess the monsoon starting to try and take shape here and give us some rain. And yeah, I saw on TV there the pictures of the flooding at six inches in one day in Tennessee, my lord. Never seen anything like it. It's just unbelievable. And then that big tree blowing on the car for that poor mom, dad, and child. What a shame. So, crazy weather, but we definitely need that rain. And really wish we could receive some of those tomatoes. Boy, I really thought nothing like homegrown garden tomatoes like my dad used to have. So anyway, good to hear. Glad Kathy's getting to feel better. And Robert, I hope your MRI went okay. And hi to Bud, Jeannie. We made it out there at two o'clock to the Scottsdale, the Simstill place. And a very nice doctor. She's really, really good. And we got home about four, I think, at 4.30, something like that. So, traffic wasn't too terribly bad. So that went well. So we'll see how things go now. And I'm going to let me reset. My friend, Rosie, coming over this morning is going to help me take something back to the post office. It's too heavy for Joe to lift, and we've got to get it in the box and catted, ready to come back. And then I'm going to have Rosie take a break. I'm going to have Rosie bring me over to our medical deal and go in to see the doctor or whoever. We've been waiting for the Bellage Medical to connect with our Walgreens to get Joe his thyroid pills. And would you believe it's going on two and a half, three weeks now? They cannot get together. So I'm not walking out of there until I have the prescription in my fingers. I'm happy to hear it. Oh, yeah. The ceiling will come in. Anyway, everybody take care. And over to Joey's. Hi to Rosie and Missy, KC7 LRS. Hey, good morning there, gang. KC7 CHD going ITEC here. And yeah, Joyce is mad at the Bellage medical doctors. And she's going to give them a piece of their mind over there. The thyroid medicine, you know, is supposed to be taken every day. And so they've been, I've been out about two weeks and we started telling them about three or four days before I was going to run out. And so Joyce is going to unleash heck over there and we'll see how effective she is. I told her, I told her, go farther, because you just get your blood pressure up and it won't do any good. And I told her, I told her, let's use psychological warfare when you go over there. Just tell that doctor that, you know, if she doesn't, she must not think the thyroid medication for me is very important. So I don't worry about it. You're my doctor, why should I worry about it if you don't knock? But I'm trying to get Joyce to take that psychological approach. Anyway, in the background here, I have a 90-day supply of thyroid medicine that's 20 percent higher. And I've been taking that, but don't tell anybody, especially don't tell the doctors over there. And, you know, how is she going to prescribe a medication for me if she takes a blood test now? And I've been out of the medication for three weeks or so, two to three weeks. So she's going to get it screwed up no matter how that doctor does it. Anyway, let me reset. Kt7-GHD reset."},{"callsign_confidence":0.98,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-07-31T08:04:11+00:00","id":11907,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":11906,"text":" Good morning there, Dale and everybody else. Always good to hear Terry there. I'm glad you had a good week's vacation. And nice to hear Judy there, too. And yeah, this is a long running net. I think it's up to 17 years now. So Joe and I are two of the originals. And we sure love to see it keep growing and keep going. And we're sitting inside today or this morning a little bit humid for this green porch. So yeah, we've got some high, high temperatures coming. And there's pretty much no rain in sight. So this is our third or fourth dry monsoon this summer. And if we don't get some rain, the fire on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon there is taking almost 100,000 acres of beautiful forest land now. And it's just a shame they can't get it out. So it's destroying a lot of beautiful area. So we could just sure love to have some rain that Robert's getting so much of and everybody else on the other side of the country. So anyway, yeah, I've got another old doctor's appointment coming up this morning and had to have a little spot taken off my face yesterday at the skin docs. So this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, we're just going to relax and not go anywhere. And my cousin and husband will be over for a fun visit. So it'll be good to see them. And I don't know how labor laws work on farms now. I know that raid they did on that pot farm in California, at first it was an illegal pot farm, but there were like 12 year olds working there and I know that was a big issue. So, yeah, I don't know what that is because I mean, we were out there pulling weeds and digging potatoes and stuff and I was probably 80 years old. And of course I wasn't getting a paycheck so I don't know if that even counts as a labor law. Who knows? What the heck did I just do? There we go, okay. But anyway, thanks for always getting to hear there. And last on the list here, we've got Joe and Joyce. I think I know what Joyce's main job was. I don't know if it was her first job or not, but KEC7LRS and KEC7GC from KEC7's internet. Good morning Joe and Joyce. Good morning there Joe. Yeah, you're really making us put on our thinking cap here and going back that long ago. Yeah, my very, very first job was cutting peaches at my uncle's peach ranch. He was raising 3,000 white leghorn chickens and he had the big orchard of peaches that he sold. So I was cutting peaches, earning money for hay for my first horse. I think I was like 13 or something like that. Yeah, and then I went on to help during the summertime out from high school. We had friends that had an old time printing shop so I worked in there for a while with the printer. And then also another summertime job with the AAA auto. I guess handing out maps and stuff and talking to some of the customers. And then on to the big plant where eventually Matt Joe, when he got a job when he came down from Aberdeen, Washington, or Pachamopolis. And that was printing running machinery and belts that printed out egg cartons. So I had that for about two years and that was really hard on the health because there was different shifts every week. So that night shift just about killed me. So that's when I thought I got to get out of here and get a decent job where I'm not doing something like that. And on dirty air and everything as well. So that was the long distance, or local first and then long distance operator. So that was my favorite. I really, really enjoyed that work. Talked to a lot of well known, interesting people and just did a great job. So anyway, and talking about movie theaters, I will not set my foot in another theater after that Elvis movie a couple years ago. And it just about put my, maybe about practically go unconscious because the seat was all loud, the floor was shaking, my head was breaking. I thought I will never ever step foot in another theater. So no way Jose. Anyway, we got to get ready here to go pretty quick. Just got to tell Joe he's going to have his first meeting and consultation, or second really, of the stem cell to get rid of this back pain. So we've got to get ready for that. So I'll turn it over to Joey, this KC7 LRS. Good hearing everybody."}]}
