Thanks, David, for picking me up here. Getting all gussied up. You remember that one? Gussied up and got right over to Paul's, but we're going to break bread over there. Mid-week, get together a bunch of hams. So it'd be good to get together and see what's going on in their world. Let's see. Gardening's going the right direction for us over here. Everything's coming. We're on the brink of, what, fruition, I guess. And the blackberries are starting to make. So good news there as well. I love blackberries, cobblers, pies, whatever. So that's coming along. And let's see. I feel like there was something else. Oh, yeah, just a public service announcement here. If you can, put out a tub or a bowl of water for the wildlife. We haven't had a rain in a while. So I'm sure the critters are looking for sources of water. Dave, thanks again. And good news today. KC5, WFH, Bill. Hey, thanks for the PSA there. And yeah, we keep water out for the deer and the birds and all that all the time here. Yeah, and things are real dry here now. We are finally up in the extreme fire danger. It's like I would have thought they would have started that some time ago. But apparently, no. It was last week they finally upgraded us to extreme from high. So there you go. At any rate, yeah, at least most of the fighters around us are well under control and down to just spot shots and that kind of thing. So that's kind of good news for us. And there is still the one in the gorge that's kind of ugly. But hopefully they'll get a handle on that one. And let's see. Have a wonderful Wednesday. Thanks for coming by and saying hi. I appreciate it much. And have a great red rating there over in Paul's Bell. Very cool. All right. Who else is out there that would like to check in on this beautiful Wednesday morning? We went up my buddy's place up in the hills. And I had my HT. And I said, my buddy who wasn't here, he was trying to listen to the Mir space station. Now on there, the only thing they would do was pack a radio. And so it was clarinet. And so I turned and put my radio on the frequency that Mir was, which I don't remember what it was now. And then so all of a sudden, we were listening. And all of a sudden, we could hear the sound going ee, ee. And then it would go ee, ee. And it got louder and louder. And it got brighter and brighter. And when it came over the top of us, literally, it was rattling my radio. Because it was coming, the signal was so strong off of it. And when it got right to the highest point, it must have got a perfect reflection, I guess, from the sun. Because all of a sudden, it had a big burst of light. And then we saw it coming down and going down. And still the whole time going ee, ee, ee, ee. And then it went off the horizon and away it went. And my buddy who was not a handle was very impressed. I was impressed. What the heck, man? That was really something. Anyway, that was a lot of fun. But the space station is the top and coolness. And the Mir is a distant second. So back to you, Bill. AB6MB. AB6MB, K7WSB. I have to say, Jeff, you do a fantastic invitation of a digital signal from a satellite. We could launch you and have great communication. And I'm sorry to tell you, but Mir is longer ago than 15 years ago. It's way the hell back then. I just Googled it. It was in orbit from 86 until 2001. So it's way back there. Ancient history. A lot of younger folk probably never heard of the damn thing. All right. Thank you, Jeff. Let's see. Now we're going to pop over and talk to Kingston Bill, KC5WSH. Come ahead, Bill. Thank you, Bill. K7WSB, KC5WSH over here in sleepy Kingston. Bill, good day over here. Wife and I loaded up this morning. Got down one cup of coffee before we hit the trail and motored over to Fort Townsend. We're in a rut, I guess. Let's see, stopped at the little cafe there at the airstrip and had the usual fare. It was a cloud cover. Cloud deck pretty low. So that's going to curtail the folks flying in and out there. Let's see. Stuck around there for a bit. Then we went on into town, Fort Townsend. Some kind of a change going on there at the boat haven. A lot of things were out of pocket. I'll use that term. A lot of the boats that you typically see in locations where they're doing a bottom job on them, they weren't there. So I'm not sure what maybe a big administration shake up there. I'm not sure. Then we went on over, let's see, to Whimper's Mercantile there. I don't know if you're familiar with that place. Dry goods, clothing, sporting goods, and so forth. And they've got a big change up in the parking arrangement. And you got to watch your step. It's not pay parking, but if you stay too long, I don't know what they do. They may get after you with a big switch. But from there on over to the farmer's market and walked through there and the usual fare, pristine vegetables. So that's what we did. And we had a fun time returning. We got hung up in something crossing there at the canal bridge. So I'll leave it at that. This is repeater station. Oh, I bet your butt hurts by getting hit by the alligator there, but we heard you just about up to the end. Actually, let me just toss it back to you and make sure you were done. Go ahead, Bill. Yes, I did. Yeah, I think I'm bleeding here. I better check. Well, anyhow, got to cut it a little too close. Good day for us over here. Got back home before dark, and all is well. So good day. All right, thank you very much, Bill, for picking her up. And I want to send you a text to see if you followed through on the gentleman over here in my neighborhood that may have been helped on that HF arrangement there. I'll leave it at that. Kind of a messy comment, but I think you know what I've talked about. Carry on, everybody. Have a good night and a good day tomorrow. KC5, WFH. KC5, WFH, K7, WFB. Thank you, Bill. I passed that along to Rich, and I think he's following up on that. I'll be in touch with you. But you had your usual tour over to Port Townsend. I got to come up sometime and join you for that. Just always sounds like fun. Thanks so much. And let's see. Now we have another visitor from the remote parts of the internet, ZS4DP. Folks, Mike's got some nice pics on his QRZ page, so, well thank you for stopping by, and don't be a stranger, I hope to get you again down the log. Alright, then we had, I'm going to reverse chronological order, two IOs from K7IVP and KK7VW, Jesse, and so I'm going to start going forward now, from the top, we had M3NTV, IO from David, and a comment from Michael, another comment from KG7VEU, and then we've got Amber, a report from Amber KM7BVT, and now it's time for the last person who's going to put a bow on the net. KC5 Waterfront Hotel, Kingstonville, please give us your report. Thank you, John, good evening to you and the rest of the net. I don't know how you keep up with it really, it was mind-boggling for me, with doubles and all the other. Alright, well there you go, Gordon is coming in right now, so we've got squash, green beans, corn will be making in another week, tomatoes, peppers, so all the work is starting to show up I guess, or become enjoyable. So we've got the fresh produce here pretty much every meal in the evening. Let's see, I wanted to ask you if you've heard from your brothers up in Michigan in regard to the smoke, I think they're getting hit pretty hard right now, if you want to comment on that, we see it on the news, anyhow, the smoke from the Canadian forest fires. Good morning Bill and hi to Karen and boys, well morning, it's working, holy cow. Yeah, sorry I didn't jump in right after Bill there, I was sidetracked and didn't get to the mic and talk. Alright, well hey, great to hear everyone this morning, got a hot day today, we're already at 80 degrees and headed up to 97, 98 today. So another hot day here, but then tomorrow things start to cool off a little bit, which is nice because we'll be on the road tomorrow headed to Seattle, so there you go. And then from there points north we're going up to the Sunshine Coast and BC, so there you go. Anyway, let's see, going on today I've got to get the truck down the bend, I'm having the service done on it before we do the road trip. So, yeah I've got to be in bend about 11, it's about an hour drive there, and I was hoping maybe I could do some running around, there's some neat little stores nearby where the Toyota dealer is here. But I'm not going to be wandering around out there in 100 degree weather, sorry, it's not happening. So I guess I'm going to take a book and hang out and just read and air conditioning. Anyway, let's see, got that going, slowly getting things together for the trip, and we'll be gone about a week. So, yeah, I'll check in if I can, I don't know if I'm going to be able to get in on Echo Link or not, we'll have to wait and see what happens with that. And with the internet services like where we're going to be staying, up in the little town of Egmont, so that'll be curious. Sometimes I can check in from there and sometimes I can't, so we'll see. But I will also be on the Chemeus repeater up in BC, which is kind of a neat, very active and fun repeater to get into some of their nets, so we'll have to see what happens. With that I'll say 73's and thanks for doing the net this morning, and hopefully you'll get some more takers and things will pick up a little bit as people wake up to get their coffee. Well, jitters is the case maybe. Back to you, Bill. Catch you later. Hi, everybody. K-7, Papa Whiskey Bravo, Dave, the High Desert Pirate Radio. Alright, thank you, Dave. Well, that sounds like a fun trip, and the Chemeus repeater, I've heard of that. Why? Why? I, uh, maybe I've been up in that area or something. Anyway, well, have a wonderful trip. Sunshine Coast, and yeah, you'll probably have lots of sunshine. Well, at almost 100 degrees down there, I hope it's, well, you said it was going to be a little bit cooler tomorrow, but for a drive down the bend and, uh, you know, hang out in air conditioning. That surprised me that time I made the drive from your place down to, uh, down the Sun River, actually. That was a lot longer drive than it seemed like it should be. That was kind of weird. Alright. Thanks, Dave. You and Sam have a great trip. 3-C-5, W-F-H. Good morning, Bill. Hey, good morning, YouTube. Bill and the resident head out there waving a hand. It's, uh, Pirate Radio Dave. I hope you guys have a, uh, comfortable drive, uh, all the way up and all the way back, uh, able to keep cool some kind of way. Alright. Well, let's see. What do we have here? 72 currently, Bill, over here in Kingston and climbing fast. Uh, that's okay. This is, uh, I think going to be the peak for the week, uh, temperature wise, and then we start to go to the other direction, which we'll all be glad to have that. Let's see, uh, already delivered two bags, Ziploc bags of, uh, green beans to the neighbors this morning, and, uh, boy, the green beans came in. Oh, yes, they did this year. I think we've hit the peak on the harvest with those guys. So the next, uh, little item we have and look forward to is the corn. Yeah, corn's making. So, uh, you know, you try to stagger these things when you plant them, but it seems like everything comes in at the same time. Well, not everything, but that particular item, you'll get an abundance of it, so time to hand off to others. Uh, let's see. We've got a pretty sunny spot here in a chunk of our, uh, property, so it's worked out well. Uh, Bill, thanks for picking her up one more time. I hope it picks up, uh, with a few more check-ins. Uh, one more item. You missed a fantastic, uh, uh, rain or shine, and, uh, with the ice cream and all the, uh, you know, just the good chit-chat. It was fun. So, uh, if you can, catch, uh, maybe the next one while the weather's good. Back to you there, young man. KC5WFH. Bill, can you set me up? This is repeater station Kilo Kilo 7. Okay. Uh, thank you, Bill. 100% copy there. Um, but, uh, yeah. Well, it is the peak temperature, uh, certainly in the forecast for this week, and, uh, helping plant with pests. I don't like it this hot, and, uh, I know others do. Well, very good. Thanks, Bill. I knew, uh, you have a, uh, great day. Oh, you were talking about everything coming, uh, coming ripe at the same time. Um, and I, my theory, like I knew anything about it, um, it's, uh, has to do with, uh, with the warmth and the sun. Uh, everything's gonna grow at once with the warmth, and, uh, so, yeah, it's, uh, it's all gonna come in at the same time. All right. But I'll keep it on the quick side so we can then get more check-ins then. But I do want to do the announcements after these two check-ins. So let's start with Bill over in Kingston, KC5, WFH. What you got going on? Come ahead. Thank you, Dave. Good morning to all out there listening. Only one item to share. We have a little internet radio station here in Kingston. And you can find it on KingstonLocal.org. Check it out. They play mostly local artists and Sprinkle and some other more popular artists in there as well. So just a fun little radio station. Again, KingstonLocal.org. Let's see. Another good day unfolding for us over here. And we appreciate the rain we got here a couple of days ago for sure. Hope you guys got something down there, Dave. Carry on. Have a good one, KC5, WFH. Bill. Hey, Bill. Thanks for that. I'll have to look that one up and check it out. KingstonLocal.org. OK. I will check that out for sure. And thanks for the info there. And yeah, we have a station here that is the single most eclectic radio station I've ever heard. And it's out of Madras. And it's called KJIV. K-J-I-V. They do it. They do internet broadcast as well. And they are lots of fun. You'll get everything. Like, you'll hear they'll play like some country tune, you know, Merle Haggard or something. The very next one will be AC DC. And then there'll be some jazz. And then there'll be some classical. And it just, it's all over the board. And it's so much fun. I just love it. And then they do have a couple of specific shows that they do on specific days that you kind of know what you're going to get. But for the most part, it is very eclectic. And it's just fun. It's all get out. And so you might check that out, KJIV. And I know you can find it online there. So anyway, thanks, Bill. We'll catch you later. 73, happy Friday. Let's see what Matt's up to. KJ7WQI. Take it away, Matt. Hello there, Dave and everybody on the net. Yeah, I'm here on a day off here in Boston. It's real nice out. Pretty warm, but not too hot. And the topic of a little doing your own radio station, I, we used to have a toy around the house when I was a kid. It was one of those things that you plug in to a CD player. And you could broadcast on a specific radio signal so that your radio would pick up the CD player. It didn't have the ability to plug in an aux cable. But we had kind of messed with the wiring a little bit. Because I think it was meant to be in your car. But we had messed with the wiring so you could pick it up through the whole house. So it might have been a small little pirate radio station. But it didn't go far enough to be troublesome. But yeah, that brought back a deep memory from childhood. That must have been like 10, 11, 12 at that point. Anyways, just chilling on a day off, a much needed day off. I've been working for like a week straight. It's nice to kick my feet up for a minute, take a couple deep breaths, and relax. Just went and did some grocery shopping and got back to the house. Wondered if the net was still running. Looks like it is. And I wanted to pop in and say hello. So I'll throw it back to you, Dave. Thanks for running that. Hope everybody's doing fine. KJ7WQI. Hey, Matt. Great to hear from you this morning. And yeah, that sounds like fun. So I can dig that. Yeah. Well, 73s, have a wonderful day off for sure. And it sounds like you definitely deserve it. So go for it. Yeah, go do something crazy. Sounds like my kind of day. Anyway, 73s, and we will catch you later. All right. Hey, I need to do the announcements real quick. I'll do a quick version of them, maybe not touch on everything that is out there. But let's get the highlights and the important points in real quick before I move on. So let me let it drop, and I will get started on the news from the high desert. OK. As you know, this net meets every day, 365 days a year, on the PSRJ repeater in Seattle, Washington. That's 9 AM noon and 9 PM. Next one coming up, of course, is Jack's Nooner. OK. There you go. OK. Let's see. Other points of serious importance. Don't forget that the simplex net Saturday night at 8 PM is on 146.56. And the radio club at Tacoma on Saturday from 10 to 2 is having an open house. Go in and meet your friends and get an eyeball with some other hams. And yeah, everybody is welcome. So go check out the radio club of Tacoma. All right. Sunday the 10th, mission critical. Season 7, episode 5 of the noon net Rain or Shine. At the east side of Green Lake down by the Paddle Boat Reynolds, just north of the Paddle Boat Reynolds. And it's an ice cream social, so go get some ice cream. You'll get a little voucher when you get there. And you can go over to the local ice cream shop and get an ice cream cone. So there you go. And yeah, go have fun. Meet up with other members of the PSRJ and have a good time. And hey, sounds like a hook for you. Wish I could be there. But we will be up there on Wednesday, briefly, passing through. So there you go. August 17, Shoreline Community College, vintage electronics swap meet. So go up and check that out. It's always fun. They've always got some really neat, goofy old stuff up there and it's really fun. So go check that out. And the Wooden Boat Fest is coming up September 5 through the 7th. So go check that out in Port Townsend. And today is National Frozen Custard Day. What a burger day. Sleep under the stars night. CBD day. Pickleball day. Ironically, today is bocce ball day for me. We have friends coming over to play bocce tonight. And Ron's game is pickleball. And today is National Pickleball Day. So think of Ron when you're thinking about pickleball. Mochi day. Dollar day. And Happiness Happens day. Sneak a zucchini onto your neighbor's porch day. I love that one. Oh man, I wish I had some. Our local produce gives away these giant zucchinis this time of year because they can't sell them. It would be fun to get one of those and go sneak it onto my neighbor's porch. Anyway, alright, that's the news from the high desert. I'm listening for more radio check-ins. Name and call sign please. It's 10 a.m. Take it away. Who's out there? Come in. B1UKZ with another recheck. No rush. Okay, let me see if I can get a couple of check-ins here, Daryl. I'll get you there with another recheck. Hang on a second. Next station, please. KP7RYY, Dan. Good morning, Dan. I got you on the list. Good to hear from you. And next check-in. Whiskey 6 Foxtrot Delta Uniform, Bim and Seattle. Whiskey 6 Foxtrot Delta Uniform, got you on the list. Next check-in, please."},{"callsign_confidence":0.94,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-08T22:59:39+00:00","id":15359,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":15358,"text":" And that, to me, worked a little bit. People are having some problems tonight. I'm hearing Echo Link is dumping people. So I don't know. I've just got back in. Haven't been listening in about less than 10 minutes, I guess. So anyhow, let's see. What else? Oh, yeah. Another moniker, a guy pinned on me some years ago. And maybe you've heard it thrown around. It cost my call sign, KC5 Waterfront Hotel. We live in a little ferry landing, a little town. We don't live in town. Actually, a couple miles out. But this is a ferry landing over here, the Edmonds Kingston Run. And there is an old two-story hotel down by the ferry terminal. So anyhow, it was Jim, PD, PD Zed, maybe. Pinned that on me some years back. Waterfront Hotel, maybe that'll help you remember my call. All right. All right, enjoy that net tonight, Jeff. And have a good weekend. KC5 WFH listening. Well, when I checked in the net, Bill, I know they're talking to another Seattle station that gave me the directions to get to them. And so they tried calling for you, seeing if you were out there. So anyway, I thought I'd let you know that. OK, buddy, I'll talk to you later. I'll be on the net, 86MB. KC5 WFH, clear and listening."},{"callsign_confidence":0.99,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-11T09:30:20+00:00","id":16147,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":16146,"text":" 7, Bravo Delta Oscar, just an I-O. KM7BDO, thank you for your I-O, appreciate that, have a great week and stay cool, whatever you do. Let's get right back to K3-OE. Rich, I tell you, people are really wondering what the heck you were doing walking around with that big fishing net. Maybe you can explain that for us. Jack, I guess the first thing is, I just had to do something silly. It was just so much fun to do that project. It was fast and simple and it worked. Anyway, of course I had to bring it because I just thought, we're close to the water and all that and I said, yeah, I gotta go fishing for signals. Anyway, and it worked. That's the main thing. Jack, the antenna lab was closed last night. I was so tuckered out that I just was not up to doing anything else last night. Yeah, the lab should be open again this evening. And, Jack, I tell you what, I've never thought about getting my reciprocating saw out and, yeah, whittling down my furniture. Boy, I don't know if I'd be up to that. Back to you, K3-OE. Well, you know, I was thinking about that and some of the goos is, yeah, I got my reciprocating saw and cut up the sectional, the half of it or whatever part that he cut up into eight big pieces. How the heck did they get the thing into the living room? I was kind of wondering that. What about you? Jack, that is always the puzzle. I'll have to admit, there are pieces of furniture in the house here that I kind of wonder how they got in here. So, yeah, that's one of those puzzles of the day. Back to you, K3-OE. Yeah, it's like, and I think this cannot be a unique case. The guy builds his boat in his backyard and then realizes when it's all done, hey, wait, I can't get the boat out of the backyard and they have to bring a big crane in and lift it up over the house. I don't know, maybe they did that with a sectional. Finish the house after they get the sectional in. Anyway, great to see you, Rich, and I hope Polo's okay. Man, I'm not sure who's running who harder, me or him, but that was really fun to go back and forth there in the park with him. We're having a good time. All right, talk to you later, Rich. Let's go talk to Skipper, Skipper Howard, thanks, today. Go ahead, please. Okay, I'm 7-A, I'm Skipper here. Pretty good, just enjoying the nice weather and using a different radio. My ASU-991 quit, so I've got to send it back to the factory. I took my ICOM ID5100 out of my Jeep and now it's in the shack, but it's all good. Hopefully they'll fix it and get it back to me. It should be under warranty. I've had it just less than a year, but it's been a long time. Other than that, just mowed the lawn yesterday. That took about five or six hours and I don't know, it might just stay out of the sun today. Hope everybody has a great day. KM7, AJM, back to Jack. Glad always amazed me when you give us the lawn mowing report, haven't taken half a day to do it. Wow, that's a lot of lawn. Hey, what back is wrong with the 9918? I mean, I don't know if you were able to determine what it was. I mean, it doesn't work, so yeah, send it in. But any idea what caused it? I don't know what caused it. I had on the triple nickel stem plex, I had some reports of a little bit of noise on my signal, but usually on the nets I didn't. So I would second for interference or loose connections on the mic, make sure everything was grounded, nothing in the shack interfering. So I have a feeling the front end of the thing fried the main board. I don't know, but it should be under warranty. If not, I'll find a different radio. Back to you, Jack. KM7, AJM. Alright, well good luck with that. Yeah, let us know the outcome once it comes back into circulation when you're there. Well, and like most of us, hey, you don't have one radio? Oh, this one's not working. Let me grab this one over here. Oh, let me grab DHT, let me grab the one out of the Jeep, you know. So you're always good to go. And you always have EchoLink and All-Star as alternatives as well. Alright, Skipper, well hey, you stay out of the sun today, would you please maybe just take a little day off? How about that? It's okay with me. Let's go talk to Bill, KEG7FWB. Great to see you, Bill. What a great time we had yesterday at Green Lake. How are you? Well, hi, Jack. Just got back from having the sweetest pancakes at Pete's over on 77th, and that was good. Yeah, I just saw all the pictures that were put up, and yeah, it was a fun time seeing everybody. I got there a little after nine, but I had a couple other things I had to do in the afternoon. So fun seeing everybody, fun talking to John there, W-O-I. And playing with the dogs, watching John on a guitar, JSM, seeing how he's progressed. So that was kind of fun. So, looking forward to the next one. Back to you, KEG7FWB. Well, hold on a second there, cowboy. I saw you wielding the Ibanez. What'd you think? Did he have it tuned up right? Of course he did. And did you enjoy that guitar? Uh, yeah, I got a little tuner on there, and he tuned it up, so it was fine. It was hard for me because it's steel strings, and they're real thin, and they cut into my fingers. So the nylons don't. They just kind of, over 67 years, dent in the nerves at the end of your fingers. But it was a nice guitar. I think it was his first one. But it'll be interesting to see some of the other electric guitars in time. Back to you. Alright, Bill. Yeah, I didn't even realize that he had a steel string, or it was spun up with steel strings, okay? Yeah, well if you don't have the calluses, that can be painful. Alright, well you take care of those fingertips, and we'll talk to you soon there, Bill. Great to have you come out yesterday. Well, speaking of great to have you coming out yesterday, I tell you, John, KEG7W, oh, everybody who had never met you were just jumping up and down, going, that's John. Wow, fantastic. And just racing over to talk to you. How are you doing? Nice to have you and Bill, KC5WFH join us at the Rainier Shine Net. How are you? Go ahead, John. Well, good morning, Jack, and good morning to the net. KEG7W, oh, I am Paul's boat. Yeah, that was a wonderful event. You know, I've never belonged to such a wonderful group of people. It's just fascinating to meet old ones and new ones I've never met. It's just a fun day, and ice cream was good. I had a s'mores, ice cream bar, delicious. And the golden guy picked me up an apple fritter, she goes, thank you for that. It was a wonderful afternoon. Boy, when I got home, I was one tuckered puppy. This old Norwegian, he just dropped in his chair here in Little Norway and took a big rest when he got home. But thanks for all you do, Jack, and putting these events on. It was, again, fantastic, and I'm looking forward to the next one already. So, Bill and I both enjoyed it. And that's about it for me. I got a little longer to do today and a bunch of domestic stuff around the house here, so I've got to get moving here pretty quick. Have a wonderful day. Enjoy it. It's going to be a warm KEG7WOI-73. Alright, well once again, John, just fantastic to see you. That just made everybody's day so much fun. Hey, real quick, Bill, he checked in right before you, KEG7FWB, and he mentioned Swedish pancakes, those little powdered sugar delights all rolled up. So, in Norway, do you know if they have Swedish pancakes or do they call them something else, maybe? I don't know."},{"callsign_confidence":0.94,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-13T09:28:20+00:00","id":16687,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":16686,"text":" So, yeah, I don't know. We'll have to deal with it somehow here. So anyway, thanks for stopping by this morning. And you have safe travels there. All right, Bill, got GC5, Waterfront Hotel. Good morning, sir. Good morning to you too, Jim. All is well on the Kingston Peninsula today. We've got mild temperatures. They're slightly milder than yesterday for sure. And the sun's doing its magic out there. Jim, we've had a good crop of green beans this year. And we're struggling to find people to give them to. So just a few beans really can crank out a lot of produce when you give them the water and getting the sunlight. But we've been very fortunate there on the green beans to park with. See, next up is corn. Corn's making as we speak. In another week or so, we should have some ears to pull off the stalks there and share with the neighbors up and down this little road here. So that worked out good. And oh, yeah, one more thing here. Let's see, good get together over the weekend with the ice cream get together. Rain or shine. Yep, it was a good one. I tell you, 30 folks showed up. There's a few dogs in the mix. Let's see, Rich, K30E. He was in there. And I apologize for not just running over and introducing myself. So maybe we can get together. If you're going to hang here in the summertime, next time, maybe we can do that. Very creative on the antenna work, by the way. You've been doing it for a few years. And you come up with some pretty bizarre antennas. But it looks like they're always able to zero in and work just fine. Let's see. Oh, I've got a confession to make here. An apology, I guess. There was a news operator checked in last night. Jim, stand by for reset. The gentleman's name is Kilo Mike, or his call center, I should say, Kilo Mike 7, Bravo Yankee Victor. And so he was commuting, I guess you could say, with a troll bike, A7TNT. Troy was driving, so he couldn't take the information. But anyhow, it was this fellow's first contact he had made. So we wanted to jot it down, get the FO on him, and get him a certificate. I relayed this all over to Jack this morning. And I made a major gaffe. The guy's name is actually Addison, Addison with a D. And I was saying Allison earlier. So sorry about that mix up there. But anyhow, if you hear Mr. KM7BYV out there on the air, give him a big howdy do and welcome him to the group. Let's see, Jim, I'll leave it at that. Back on out of here. You guys have a good day. And well, we're all enjoying this cooler air. Mine is a smoke. KC5, WFH, back to you. Well, thanks, sir. Bill, yeah, I jotted that call sign down. And I heard you and Chuck talking about it this morning. So yeah, Addison, if you're out there, KM7, Bravo Yaky Victor, we'd love to hear from you. So yeah, feel free to check in here. So anyway, Mr. Bill, did you have a good day? And I'm sure that the neighbors love all the free produce. Our neighbors used to have a garden here at the lake. And they took it out last year. But we got so many cucumbers and stuff from them, it was really just delightful. They stopped doing it. They said it was cheaper to go buy it. And the growers just started their own labor. They had to pull in to get a few cucumbers. So anyway, you have a good one there. Bill, good talking to you. And I saw your picture on all the pictures from the writer's high net. So I knew that you were there. So anyway, thanks for stopping by. All right, this is Jim, KM7, DD Zen, sitting in for Dave this morning, looking for some more call signs and names, please. WQ7H, this is James. Hey, good morning, James. Good to hear you. Who else is out there? Who would like to join James this morning? The 7th and the 7th. I'm Julie Edmond, coming to Washington. All right, we got two there. We got John, KG7WOI, and Madu. I don't remember your call sign off the top of my head. I don't remember your call sign. I don't remember your call sign. I don't remember your call sign. I don't remember your call sign. I don't remember your call sign off the top of my head there, sir. That would be Kilo, Kilo7, and Lil Puffa Julie Ed. Madu. Uh, Zulu, uh, KG7, Zulu, what is? Run that suffix by me again. Kilo, Kilo7, and Lil Puffa Julie Ed. I'm on my side here in Canberra, Australia. OK, we got, uh, OK, just a minute. The Australian station, hang on a minute there yet. All right, and there we have from Australia, uh, KK7, Julie Ed Tango, KK, no, VK. Nope. Yep, yep, that's where it is. Kilo, Kilo7, Julie Ed Tango. No, I didn't spell that right either. KK7, Julie Ed Tango, let's try that one. There we go. No, that's not right either. Down at VK. Oh, what am I? I am terrible at spelling. Mm. There we go. Now we got it. OK. All right, back. I'm so confused there. Back up the chain, WC7H, good morning, sir."},{"callsign_confidence":1.0,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-13T12:49:29+00:00","id":16719,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":16718,"text":" Alright, it looks like Tim dropped off the node list. Okay, well maybe he'll try to reconnect and we can get him back in. Let's try Bill, KC5WFH. Bill, go ahead. Alright, thank you Jack. We had to wait for him to settle down there and move in. We're over at Paul's Point right now. Just finished off our meals. The world is here. We're having a good time. And now this is pretty smooth. So, we'll all wait back and have a good time. Alright, Josh. Alright Bill, now is this the Kitsap County, is this the little breakfast meeting that they do? Or wait, sorry, no, I guess it would be the noon meeting. Or is this another group? I cannot remember which group this is. And hi, KC7WI. Hey John, good to hear you. Back to you Bill, KC5WFH. Well, see, no Jack, this is just a group of guys just being together. We've been doing it for a year on a small group of fellas, all hens. And we've come to various restaurants, we've been living there for a year or two or three and we move on to another restaurant. So right now, we tried the Kings Wash in Silverdale, hung with them for a while. We're over at the Clearwater Casino, they had great food. They shut it down, we moved on. And now we're at the Andy's here in Paul's. Phil and Hunter, that's the way it's been. There's four of us now, we've seen this meeting six or seven in the past. But people have been gone for a while. Gary, KC5WFH. Alright Bill, hey, all you guys, have a great afternoon and thank you for dropping by. And again, hello John, KC7WI, great to hear you guys. Alright, let's continue on. We have an I-O from Raleigh, so what we're going to do is go back and see if we can find Tim back there in Virginia. See if he's had a chance to key up again. And let's see if he's back on the air. KI7ZEI, Tim. Alright Jack, thanks for coming back for me. I have a little bit of a computer glitch there. I'm having a couple of types here today. So it's making the notable noise as he walks up. So I had to remove the battery and start all over again and here I am. So I'm in Virginia, which is just southeast of Washington, DC. And I'm spending a few days up here with some friends. Early in the week I did do a couple of customer visits by the Boston area. And then I went down to Pennsylvania and Connecticut, visited the grocery factory, all that kind of good stuff. So I toured for a couple of days and that was kind of nice. But it was hot, it's been 90. Today it's a little cooler, it's about 87 in cloudy. So it doesn't feel so bad, but we were just a little bit above your temperatures for the last few days. And I managed to catch myself a cold. Yes, yes. I'm pretty sure if I have any air-cast to do something. I'm pretty much ready to go and take us in over to Canada and lots of fluids and all that kind of good stuff. So I'm feeling better. Hopefully I'll be all recovered. Coming back tomorrow night at 8 o'clock, 8 p.m. And I guess that's kind of my tip. My voice will hopefully be improved by then. This morning I can hardly talk it out. But thanks for that and catch you all later. KI7 or Z. Alright Tim, well hey, thanks for catching us up. You go take care of yourself, get some rest before you travel back to Seattle. We'll see you maybe this weekend. We do have the PSARA, I think on our shoreline Sunday. So that's going to be fun. I hope you get a chance to come up there. I think I'll head up there myself. And maybe take some old Collins gear that is just beautiful. Oh man, so nice. Anyway, alright Tim, nice to hear you. And we had a great time at the Ice Cream Social. What a blast. We missed you. But I know you'll make the next one. Alright, let's see what's out there if you'd like to join us on the new net today here on the WW7PSR 2 meter. We're here in Seattle, Washington. Come head now. RF internet local or internationally connected stations on All Star or Echo Link. Name and call. This is W-8. This is short W-U-W-U. James, you're outside Detroit. Alright James, I've got you. I think I heard Brooks say short time. Let's go to Brooks. K9 BDC Brooks. Good afternoon. Good afternoon Jack and everyone. I'm BDC Brooks here. Mobile northbound on 99 in Seattle. I'm going to be going into the tunnel here in about 30 seconds. So thank you for getting me in. It's nice and cool off a bit here today. Definitely a little more comfortable being out and about. But anyway, let's see what is new. Working on getting my office slash shack put back together. The new desks are in place. The monitors are in place. I've got a few more furniture things to build in there. But I started putting the shack back together yesterday or at least locking up where things are going to go. And should have the 991A back up and functional this evening to run the net. The rest of the radio is still kind of working out all the details on where exactly they're going to go. So they can get possible shack layout performance. Thanks for taking my check in Jack. Good night BDC. Hey hold on a second. Are you in the tunnel yet? Because I've gone through a couple of tunnels in the area. And I've been able to transmit completely through them on the internet. So I'm going to see if you can come back. I see you're on RF. I want to see if you might be able to continue transmitting for just a few more seconds. This is repeater Jack. So I'm just pulling into the 99 tunnel. So I suspect you're going to stop hearing me in the radio now. Well he was right about that. Alright fantastic work. Hey you have a great afternoon. And you be safe out there. And good luck on your office. I tell you it was really coming along. And your new desks are oh man they are sweet. Alright well let's go back to James. James W8WW how are you sir?
