The dude I've been, because there's activity, because there's people talking on it and that generates interest. But I haven't had any takers yet. I haven't did. That's too bad. Um, okay, well, I'm just a meatloaf lover in the house, so we're gonna go to Josh. KJ5IRQ Josh. B-loaf. Do you like it? Do you make it? How do you make it? This is KC2PKG. This is Repeater Station Kilo 7, KJ. I would like to know who actually eats meatloaf. Kilo is nasty. I mean, it's filled with crap like meat. And binders. And spices. Oh, wait. Meat. I'm the people. I love meatloaf. I, uh, actually, I don't even care for the meatloaf when it's cooked. I'll eat it, mashed potatoes and all that. Cool, whatever. Man, it's the next day. I'm telling you, that's where it's at. Meatloaf sliced up, served on some bread. Where it's at. Especially if you have a little bit of, you know, gravy and a little bit of mashed cabbage. I do the same thing on Thanksgiving, though. The next day on Thanksgiving, I usually make me a Thanksgiving sandwich. And it's gonna have turkey and cranberry and stuffing. And, yeah, it's just one big nasty sandwich. Man, it's so... Meatloaf. Yes, we do have meatloaf here. And it's different to anyone who makes it. My last cooks are completely different than how I do. I do two versions. One's a gourmet version and one's just an everyday version. The everyday version, I either get really good ground beef or I buy a chuck roaster and make it myself. There's a texture thing involved with meatloaf, I think. I also don't just use generic breadcrumbs on it. My life almost always has some sourdough bread around here somewhere. So we drive that out and we make the breadcrumbs out of that. But what I do in mine, I think a lot of people do, maybe not on this match. At least here, in my neck of the woods. We're moving our meatloaf together. We've got our meat in our binders and spices. Bell peppers and onions. It's already been softened. Sometimes I grill them and then I'll sauté them a little bit. Get that char built into it. Lay all those profiles. And, yeah, we'll get that whole sucker mixed together. And then what I do is I'll hollow out the center and put some cheese in there. And I'll cover it up with some more meat, you see. So basically I made a meatloaf pocket for cheese. But it doesn't end with that. No, no sir. I like to go one step further. And I'll throw that sucker on my smoker. If you've never had smoked meatloaf. Now, I'm not saying liquid smoke. I've used that in the past and it works to the pitch. But it's a poor substitution for a good smoked meatloaf. Unfortunately, this day and age, eating smoked really kind of hurts my digestive track. But that's one of those things that I'll have. Gosh, I'll probably don't make meatloaf like that twice a year maybe. It's a lot of work. But, man, I'll tell you what. It is the best meatloaf. And I also kind of like Dell. I don't use ketchup. We make a barbecue sauce and it's a simple barbecue sauce. We make it for chicken, for everything basically. And we use that. So, yeah, there you go. KJ5, IOKU, back to the neck control. I'm not a big fan of smoked things, but that sounds really good. KJ5, IRQ, this is KC2, PTG. All right. We will move on to KN6, UYZ. Do you like meatloaf, John? And do you make meatloaf? Or what is your favorite meatloaf? What about you? Uh, lost your name. Okay. KN6, UYZ. This is KC2, PKG. Uh, good morning again, KN6, UYZ. Yeah, I like meatloaf a lot. Although I've never made it in 77 years. Uh, because I don't really know how. I don't really know much about spices and things like that. Uh, I guess my favorite way of having it would be the way my mother used to make it. However that was. So, I guess I like meatloaf. Uh, but, uh, what, barbecue sauce on the top? Yeah, I'm sure that would be tasty, and I would be happy to eat that. Especially with some mashed potatoes. But, uh, the way I was used to it was with some kind of ketchup, uh, flavoring on the top. So that would be my preferred way to go. So I don't have anything that interesting, I just don't make it. Never have anything that interesting about it. I don't want to have any of that. Uh, I'll tell you what that is. I'm going to get a little bit of a good slice of meatloaf. Uh, I've got a little bit of a good slice of meatloaf. And, uh, I've got the chicken and the chicken. I just don't make it, never have, but if somebody wants to invite me over, I'll be happy to come and eat it for you. KN6UYZ, back to Nat. Beep. KN6UYZ. All right, we gotta take her. If you got extra meat, we'll invite John over. This is KC2PKG. Oh, and you got my mind to whirl. Josh, with the meatloaf sandwiches, they really are good. They really are good. That used to be my first wife's favorite thing in the world was meatloaf sandwiches. And you really have to work on the body of the loaf itself, so it can be sliced very, very thin. And that takes a little extra binding to make it work like that. All right, Chuck, AA4HI. Hey, loaf, do you like it? Do you make it? And if you do, how do you make it? This is KC2PKG. Beep. You know, Cory, I'm not a big fan of meatloaf. It's okay. But it's not my favorite food. Well, I mean, maybe my wife maybe makes it a couple times a year, and never in the summer. You know how it is here. I don't see anything like that in the summer. At least me, I don't. So I don't really go crazy when I hear it's being cooked. I'm like, okay. I don't think it's wonderful, so to speak. But anyway, that's the way it goes. What do y'all like, what was it like? So I'm great, I don't like it. With some ketchup on top, onions, and whatever else is in it. But I don't know, I really am not like cheese. I can't wait to eat it. So I probably went on to the first one who says I really just don't like meatloaf. Anyway, back with you, AA4HI. Beep. Ah, we got one. AA4HI, this is KC2PKG. I was waiting for somebody to say I really don't like meatloaf. So you won the prize, gold star for you. All right, Terry, MM0RKN. Meatloaf, do you make it, do you like it? Is it different in Scotland somehow? We'd love to know all your thoughts about meatloaf. So this is KC2PKG, over to you, MM0RKN. Beep. Beep. We'd use lean scotch beef mince, three rashers of bacon, finely chopped, an onion, finely chopped, carrots, tomato, and some herbs would be put in there as well. Maybe like chives or parsley or something. And you'd have three tablespoons of fresh bread. And it would be put into a baking tin. Just cook, you can slice it into nice slices. It's perfect for sandwiches as well. So yeah, that's how the traditional Scottish meatloaf is there today. MM0RKN, back to net control. Beep. MM0RKN, this is KC2PKG. That sounds good. That sounds like a recipe that would work. You know, there's two basic philosophies I've noticed for meatloaf. You can have meatloaf with gravy and potatoes, or you can have meatloaf with ketchup. And I've never seen the two put together, but the philosophy up here in Maine, where we go, the meatloaf has gravy on it, tons of it, and lots of potatoes. So meat and potato cake. But when I was growing up, it was sliced much finer. It had ketchup on it, there's the eight, it had ketchup. November, Quebec, November. All-star notes, please use. And so just a totally different thing. Some people put them in a loaf sheet, and some people put them on a baking sheet, a rimmed baking sheet, and they just leave it open, a mound. That's how my son does it. And either one works, either one works. Okay, Bill, N9OFU. Meatloaf, we're talking meatloaf here. Do you like it? Do you make it? And if so, how? This is KC2PKG. All right, well, no, I don't make it. And my wife doesn't make it. So if I eat it, the only chance I get to eat it is if I find it out in the wild. I use a bow and arrow, shoot it, take it down. You know? No, but there's Chuck's Up, Flying J, and Pilot. They all have meatloaf. And every now and then, I'll grab one of their slices of meatloaf, you know, get it with potatoes and vegetables. And it comes with a red paste on it, either ketchup or something. Similar, maybe I have tomato paste, but I think it's probably more ketchup. I think my mom used to make it when I was a kid, because I seem to recall having it when I was a kid. But other than that, it's just being able to grab it. Sometimes when I'm out on the road and I get a hankering for it, I remember, every now and then I might find a buffet that has some meatloaf as one of the items on there. So I usually grab some of that too. But that's what I know about meatloaf. I don't eat it. It's not something I go out of my way for that I have to have, but I don't mind it. It's a fine meat-like substance that I do enjoy eating from time to time. All right, back to you. Oops, sorry, sorry. Also, the other last question. I remember my mom had gotten a screen door, a wooden screen door from someone who moved and it didn't fit her door. So it was my chore to take that thing and make it fit. So I had to do some trimming here and there, then add some stuff on the bottom to keep the bugs out. I totally forgot about that. So I was proud that I was able to get that put together and up for her and her mobile home there in Casa Grande. Back to you. N90FU, this is KC2, PKG. It's interesting, because I just finished retrimming a screen door to fit in a very, very old porch where everything is warped. So we used a spring and a wire to pull it tightly closed. Come on, because screen doors aren't much fun if they've got big cracks around them. All right, KM4QVC Jeff Meatloaf, we're talking Meatloaf. Do you like it? Do you have it often? Do you not make it? And if you do, then how do you make it? This is KC2, PKG. KC2, PKG, KM4QVC. Josh was talking about she just bakes it to that right, I don't know, it's kinda crispy around the edges a little bit, and then ketchup on top. So I think she puts that on there because she gets it out. Anyway, I love it, I love it. And later that same day, we used that for supper. I'll make the sandwich with a little mayo, white bread, and just a touch more ketchup. So yeah, man, I'm all about it for KM4QVC. All right, another big vote for Meatloaf. This is KC2, PKG, thank you very much, KM4QVC. And we'll try Ralph again, see if he's out there. Hey, YQJ, do you like Meatloaf, Ralph? And do you make it? We'd love to know how you make it. This is KC2, PKG.
W0GL, I'm sorry, so it's up to you. Okay, I have a comment about eating rice. I thought this is how it was done, but I looked it up anyways just to make sure. But for eating rice, you put the bowl up to your mouth and you scoop or shovel the rice into your mouth depending on the stickiness. So that's how you eat rice with chopsticks. W0GL, victim out. Alright, W0GL, this is KC2PKG. Now we're going to go on the truck, AA4HI. Chuck, how was your weekend, ma'am? And you have plans for the week? Something going on? When is your son coming home? He should be arriving home pretty soon, shouldn't he? This is KC2PKG, over to you, AA4HI. Craig, he's home. Take him up to the water. He's home. Keep him up in Washington, DC. Anyway, it's something weird in the tour park when a dog comes out and tries to bite a rider, but the motorcycle will scare you all behind. No one wants to get chased by a dog when on a bicycle, especially when you're going down a road like 25 miles an hour. But anyway, he's home. He's glad to be home. He's finally getting not being so tired of jet lag and walking so much. He had a great time. And I'm glad to get to see a lot of the world. And I've been on HF working a lot of parks on the air, photo stations, CW, iPhone. And also, it cooled off great. We've had a few days of cool weather. I don't know whether or not it's going to get back, I think Thursday. But good time to work on the antennas. I get to get that Delta Loop up higher. You know, if I didn't feel like getting out there, the wind is so hot and gray. I mean, it's just a musical. For two months, it's been like that. So with the cooler air, it makes you want to get back outside and do something. Look at that drop. So anyway, I'm throwing the doobie out there and take that coaxial cable out of that 20-meter Delta Loop and bring it back to a cleaner balance outside. So I can get it up higher because I didn't have any more coaxial cable. And I can tell I need it to work anywhere other than 20 and 10. So that's kind of the fun about it. I've been enjoying HF a lot. I hope you've been enjoying your FTX1. I know a lot of people want those things. And there's a lot of hype around like is everything when it comes out. And you got some saying, no, no, no, I like the 705 better. It's lighter. But you can't beat something with two bands and two antenna ports. You know, I say two bands at once and two antenna ports. So I think it's pretty darn cool. And anyway, life goes back to work this month sometime. Because it's back to school month here, anyway, down south. So there's a lot going on here. I'm glad to work at my dad's house. You know, helping him out. All he does is cruise a lot more. You know, that's his thing now. He'll pay his price a couple times a week. You know, he's got sprinklers and hiss. What he likes doing. But everything's going pretty good down here. Coming back with your gray A4 chair. This is redo. A4, A9, this is Casey, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, I am having a lot of fun. It's my next one. I use it every day. It's my second way into the net. And I can tell the hell. Because it's got so many indicators. It runs a waterfall display. It's called a waterfall going up display. It's in 3D. It has an oscilloscope display. And it has a fast pore-ne-er transform. Fast pore-ne-er transform. So I get to see everything about what you're saying. The entire audio spectrum is represented by that. It's cool. It's very cool. I love this screen though. Alright, Terry. MM0, R, A, N. Are you still going for an FTX1? Or are you waiting and biding your time? This is Casey 2, PKG. Terry, I wish you a weekend. Good. MM0, R, A, N. Return as well. Good morning, Gray. Good morning to everybody on the net. I'm going to hear everybody today. Firstly, the FTX1F. Funny you should mention that, Gray. I actually ordered one last night. I've decided to order the Optima. I spent several months watching videos, good and bad reviews. I just like doing it. I think it looks great. I like the versatility. Obviously, I go to the caravan quite frequently, my sister's caravan. I think it would be quite a good go-box radio as well as the C-3. I can see a lot of uses for me personally for using it. I just like the dual-band feature as well. The more videos I've watched, I think the more I talk to my health into it. One of the UK radio deals, a family has got stock direct from Yesu, Japan. It should be shipping. They're getting a load of them in shipping in the next week or so. I'm a little bit hoping that I manage to get one from that batch. If not, I'll just bide my time and wait out till it is available. There we go. That was my big purchase last night. My weekend was quite peaceful to go on a screen. My son and my husband, they were at a truck show on Saturday in Edinburgh. I did some of the stuff. I came home and just enjoyed some of the sunshine we had. Yesterday, I was actually attending coming on the East Nae and the worldwide friendship. I was locked in and I was sitting in my living room on the sofa. I know these off. I fell asleep for about two hours yesterday having an afternoon news there. I got up and I was just sitting there. I was just sitting there. I fell asleep for about two hours yesterday having an afternoon news there. Hang on, I'll take any hit. I must be getting to that age where I'm starting to need this afternoon nap. Hi, hi. My apologies. I've maybe not been on quite as regularly as I usually am. We're still in the school holiday period. I've been telling it out and about. I'm not talking as well, but it's been a bit of a juggle from time to time getting round everything. It still goes back to on the 14th of August. Normal service will resume, so that will be that. I was listening to Josh saying that he's on a healthy eating plan. I too have started on healthy eating. My eating was just getting a little bit out of control. I was getting a little too full and eating the bad stuff. I studied last week on my healthy eating and I've lost five pounds in weight. I'm quite pleased with that. It's working. I can do it if I set my mind to it. It taught me that the salmon actually will enjoy salmon as well. We're quite lucky in Scotland. We have lovely fresh water salmon here. We're quite renowned for our salmon actually. People actually come here to salmon fish. They eat salmon and think salmon's from here is lovely. They're a quite big fan of salmon there. Anyway, Mm0rkn, but they need control. Mm0rkn, this is KC2PTG. While you're waiting for your FTX10 rod, take a look at some of the accessories. I got one, which is kind of a taste for it. It's really a framework with handles on it and stuff like that. It makes it much easier to pick it up and move it around. It's just a big brick. I got that on it. It looks cool and it directs the sound a little bit better when it's got that on. It looks like it's in fall without getting hurt, which could happen. I'm happy with that. I'm still waiting for the Bluetooth chip and the GPS to come for mine. Those seem to be in short supply. Although I may have to go back and check and see if I actually did order those or did I just zone out in the middle of that. All right. Well, it's good to hear from you, Carrie. That's great, and you lost weight too. Unbelievable. Good for you. All right. Let's see if anybody else wants to get in on the Monday morning version of the cowabunga net and then we can get going. Come now with your call sign. This is KC2PKG. Join the conversation. We're dying to hear from you. Come now with your call sign. Remember, 9 Oscar Foxtrot, uniform in 9LFU. She makes it with half Italian sausage and half hamburger. I think she might put sausage and crackers in there, break them up and put them in there. I eat meatloaf with ketchup on it. I don't put ketchup on everything, but I do prefer ketchup on meatloaf. I made with half Italian sausage. I don't put Italian sausage. When I made spaghetti, I think we used all Italian sausage. It's a little spicier. A friend of mine 50 years ago told me to put black olives in my spaghetti. So we do that. They have mushrooms and black olives in there. Anyway, I don't know, I'm concerned about common sense. I don't think the government has any common sense. Maybe some of you will be back. And there you go. Nice segue, Mel. Thank you. Common sense is a phrase we use all the time. I'm never sure when someone says, use your common sense, or something like that, what they're talking about. What are they talking about? Common sense. So I'm going to ask you guys, tell me what you think makes common sense. What does it look like? And give me an example of it. So I will go to Gerald first. B01UKZ, tell me about common sense, Gerald. This is KZ2PKG. Ah, geez, Grey, you're asking the wrong one now. I have a little lot of common sense, man. I don't know. Common sense is, F around and find out. That's what I'm going to say common sense is. You know, if you ain't got it, you F around and find out. That's it. I've done that so many times over the years that it's not even funny at this point. But yeah, now common sense, man, it's obvious. You think about what you're going to do before you do it. That way you don't have to F around and find out, right? You just think about stuff. I always think about stuff before I do it. I joke a lot, but you got to have common sense. You really do. Because if you don't, like I've said, I got a little bit of common sense. I didn't have any common sense back in the day. I won't fly ramps on anything with a wheel, be it one wheel, two, four, doesn't matter. I ain't flying no ramps on nothing. I did back in the day. Didn't have common sense. Cut my face up pretty bad. So I started growing a mustache, believe it or not. I flew over to bars on my bike and scraped my face up so bad on the pavement when the wound started to heal. I started to grow hair on my top lip and then I started to shave it and then I just grew a mustache. I had a pretty thick mustache by 15. I could buy beer at the store, underaged, at 15 and 16 years old. I was the go-to guy that could fool the people working at the store. They didn't know me. They didn't know any of us. But I had hair on my lip so I was more confident than most. But yeah, I did some stupid crap over the years but now I've definitely had the common sense knocked into me. Let's just say that much. You can only mess yourself up too many times before you get common sense. That's my inscription. Greg, I can't wait to hear what everyone else has got to say about this one. V01UKZ, hashtag, F around and find. Alright, V01UKZ, this is KC2PTG. I was surprised when I first formulated this question how hard it was to answer. But you seem to say that experience can develop common sense. Let's see what Josh says. KJ5IRQ. Josh, what is common sense? This is KC2PTG. Over to you. So, Russell, you want me to finish out the neck for you? This is KC2-PKG. Yeah, you clean the neck. You got to clean up. And you got that tightness. Yeah, you clean it up for me. I'll get you on Thursday. Okie doke, you have a great day. Alright, well, I'll say I'm next. So, I'll just say one more thing about Gabby. She's one of those exceptional people that you ask them to do you a favor. And it's always more. With her, it was always more. She did it much more neatly than I was expecting. She worked harder at it. So, it's good. It's good. And I do what becomes bad. Alright, guys. We got to move on here. And Peter, are you still out there? V-E-1-W-I-N. This is KC2-PKG. Yeah, I'm still here. I just got confused at what happened to Gabby. I don't know. Somebody said it. Sounds like somebody pissed her off. I think. I don't know what happened. But I don't need to know. I just don't like people that do that to other people. I think they're bullies in here. But it's not really like that. They shouldn't be allowed on it yet. They come to cause trouble. They should be banned right off the bat. That's my opinion on it. You know, they got to start acting like jackasses to people. But, you know. No. No. You shouldn't be a ham hopper. You're never going to be like that to people. You shouldn't even be in the hobby. That's my opinion. And, uh, great enough today. Lots of conversation anyway. So, with that, back to you, Greg. Catch y'all maybe tomorrow. I won't be, uh. No, I won't be available no more. I got to go to a club meeting. Catch y'all later. Back to you, Greg. See you later. E-E-1-W-I-N. Yes, we will catch you hopefully tomorrow. On the town of Smith. He gets us a floor tomorrow. E-N-6-U-Y-Z. Final thoughts. Uh, from you, John. Yeah, no, I don't think it could have been hit by a car, Grey. It's parked in the driveway dead on. But it's like right up against my neighbor's driveway, in my driveway. But again, it's like lease shares, like a parking lot-sized driveway. And it was parked in the driveway head on, so I don't think so. But someone, I just got off the phone with a repair place here in town. And he said, parts and labor, I'm looking at $500 or $600. And that's, it would be less if I don't need a new head. But that's, he said, probably around the maximum. And that's including labor. They charge us $65 an hour. And he said, I'm looking at probably $100, $150 for a header pipe. The exhaust, he said, is fine. It's not the whole exhaust that would need to be replaced. He said, and luckily, if the head needs to be replaced, I don't need a piston or rings or anything like that. He said, all of that is inside the cylinder. He said, the head is a different part from the cylinder. He said, that's where the exhaust bolts are. I just got off the phone just now and to read the motor sports. And he was saying they could do it. And, but yeah, I'm just frustrated, man. My mind is everywhere here this morning. But it looks like someone intentionally done it, man. Kicked it or hit it with something. Because, excuse me, because it's just the way it's snacked. It's like one of the bolts are completely snapped and the exhaust is hanging by one bolt. And he said, I need to get the exhaust gasket kit and the head gasket kit. And he said, all that is included in the quote that he gave me. So, I don't know, man. I'm just looking at like what I got here that I could literally get rid of that I don't need to cover the cost of this. He said he could have it done for me in a week if I could, if I could get everything together. Like, I mean, I got HTs here. I got that new set of headphones I just bought. Affordable, affordable screen. I don't know, man. My mind is just reeling. I can't imagine going the whole summer and being barred up in this friggin' house like I've been for the first part of the summer. When the weather's been crappy, so. I'm nice and I want to get out and can't. So, I don't know, man. I don't know. It's a piss off is what it is, to be honest with you. But, I'll get through it. I'll get through it. And this is an actual place that does mods and dirt bikes and motorcycles and stuff like that. So, he knew exactly what he was talking about when I described it to him. He said it's a good thing that the exhaust is still good, he said, because that would have, you know, been a more expensive piece. Pretty actual muffler and stuff, but all that is still good. I mean, there's nothing wrong with any of that. It's just where the tailpipe connects directly onto the motor. It's like one of the studs are snapped off. Because it's snapped off, you're going to need to drill it out. And if it can't be drilled out, he said it might be able to be drilled out. He said it might not cost me. It's about, you know, for $400. But, he said if the head has to be replaced, then they've got to replace gaskets and all that kind of stuff. He said, and that adds, you know, a couple hours to the maintenance time. He said, once they get at it, he said they don't slack off. He said they'll get it done and, you know, give me a fair rate. But, ugh, just disgusting. I can't imagine that it was done, one of my cats once in. Had to be done by a spite, someone that was really spitey and really angry. So, I don't know. But anyway, we'll get through it, man. Other than that, man, I hope you're having a good day. Hope everybody down there, out here is having a good day. It wasn't Saturday. It was yesterday. Dinner time. I can't even recall, man, Saturday to Sunday here on that off. Like you say, I was so pissed yesterday. I just slept most of the day. And, umm, I'm not 100% with it here this morning, but at least now I know it's what I've got to work towards after calling the repair place. V01 UKZ, keep me on the list, man. I'll be here. I'm happy I'm here this morning. Looking forward to the questions, especially the one about what's not allowed. I'm due drop in. I like that one. V01 UKZ. V01 UKZ, this is KC2 PKG. And, umm, yeah, that, umm, I've been sort of nagging. I'll tell the story when we get to that question. But, umm, for now we're going to pass it over to KB0MAI. Way to go, George. This is KC2 PKG. Yeah, thank you, Greg. I'd say damn now. $65 an hour. That is a great rate for a mechanical race for a mechanic these days. That's dirt cheap. Umm, when I used to take my motorcycle and budget something that I couldn't feel comfortable doing, it was $135. Those parts are so... And that's about the norm. I'm not here down in the States, at least in the Central United States. I'm sure it's even higher on these roads. The West Coast is something like that. The agency's not in the back. They're not moving on to this JDI bike. If I can get another bike, I need some major work done, I'll be shipping up the area to have more to hunt in. So, umm, what do... Oh, umm, can you reset the button? So, I don't want to go back to the chat, GBT. Umm, so, I have discovered that I can alter my work by quite a bit. I mean, yesterday I took a Black and White Street photo. The gentleman sitting on the bench in the wall, waiting for his wife to come out of the store. Terribly important. It turned out to be a really good picture. And I started thinking, one day, you know, I can use black and white, and I can do that. I just took all the color out of it. So, I can't get the color back, and I thought, I wonder if I can turn this into an oil painting. Chat, GBT. And, umm, loading the up thing, as long as it's not long gone, and, you know, it would go quick too. It would go, umm, three or four minutes, right? I know you're on a priority basis, when I mess with the report, and before I pay for the office service. I might wait five, ten, fifteen, even thirty minutes to have to come back and give me the results sometimes. It was a little like three, four minutes, on each one I did. But, I asked it, and turned it into a oil painting. Now, I thought, how is he going to do that? Because, I stripped all the color out of his smile. It's already in braids, so, what is he going to do? And he came back and gave me the colored representation of the oil painting. I was amazed by the colors of his painting. It looked like an oil painting, and had all the aspects of an oil painting. And, umm, just like, wow, this is awesome. I don't know how I did it, you know, but it did it. And so, I did watercolor, and I went out and some drawings. You know, my work just changed the way it looks, you know. And, yeah, it's pretty awesome, I like that. But, what worries them? So, that all happened, right? I also went to do some research behind the progress of autonomous trucks. You know, how close are we getting to the point where there aren't any truck drivers anymore? I was amazed by, you know, how far they've gotten. You hear rumors near and there, and articles. It's basically, you know, in certain states, we're testing them down in Texas and California. Unmanned trucks now, which is pretty wild. And, talking by 2013, the West Coast, for all the right operations, transporting from state to state, the truck, umm, it didn't have its own trucks on the road. Now, the overall whole country, the number of people that have seen the satellites, they're talking probably, we can say in 20 years, and it's based on how far the technology comes. But, the main part of it is, is how well we as American people will accept this on our own, and then the regulations, you know, in Congress and there, like each state will do something like that. But, they say on our side, 20 years, no more drivers on the trucks. On, over to the local, they have, umm, they have a little bit different, the line goes on a little bit further, and that's mainly because of, you know, you have to get out, you have to get, umm, the cargo to the society, you know, and, you know, you can't help but miss that. I'm sure they'll do it. Oh, it's even more amazing, one more, reset. Yes, we're extremely behind China on, they are in stage four. They have it all set up for stage four right now. They're in stage three, umm, and they still have drivers in the trucks, and more of a supervisory position than anything else. But, stage four is completely autonomous, and they already got all the regulations in place, they got all the equipment in place, and they're looking at being completely autonomous in just five minutes. So, I've got all that, I've got all that, SHAD GPG just doing the research, you know what I mean? Man, China's gonna beat us again. Back to neck control, KV0MA on. KV0MAI, this is KC2PKG, yep, the regulations are settled. That's gonna be an interesting fight, and I'm sure that the insurance companies are gonna have a lot to say in that, because that's the first thing that pops into my mind, but I was in the insurance business for a long time. So that's gonna be interesting, but cool, I can't wait, I'm excited by that. Josh, KV5IRQ, I'm passing the ball to you, this is KC2PKG, pop quiz coming up, everyone. KC2PKG, this is KV5IRQ. My nephew's been to that with us last night, he's 16, he wanted to talk to me and Danielle about a few things, and so he's been around to us last night, I'd take him home this morning. He's reached our school on Wednesday, our school here starts on Wednesday. Little man, my little G son, he has back, he has meet the teacher tonight tonight, so we are very excited about that. Cautiously optimistic, but he does well, I mean it's pre-K, so I'm guessing he can't really do bad. So yeah, we are pretty excited about school starting this year. Yeah, so the KG3PKG thing, you can make the pattern being ahead of the curve, yeah that makes a lot of sense, you have less regulatory hurdles to jump, less insurance like they said, hawks telling you what you can and can't do. And then they got something we don't have, a dictatorship, this is what we're doing, and it gets done. We don't work like that here, so at least not completely at the moment. So yeah, they would be ahead I would think, although from what I understand, their AI isn't quite to the par of what we have. Although the North WAF, researching with the KG3PKG is awesome, if you're a paid member, or a paid, I don't know what you call it, a paid supporter of KG3PKG, you'll probably notice that there's a few other options that you can play with, like AI Agent. Think of AI Agent like a computer, you're willing to expertly tell it what you want it to do, and it will go up and do it, whether that is logging on web pages for you, doing deep research for you, or even running a bot for you. I have a bot on my Discord server, my personal Discord server, that runs on my BPS server that was built using chat GPT. It pulls out a lot of the weather information from that area, from multiple sources, but primarily from the National Weather Service. It will let me know if there's a fire problem around me, or if there's inclement weather. It doesn't just do the daily, here's the forecast, I mean, it waits until there's a large, or there's actual, themes happening before it comes back, and it tells me, hey, this is happening, be aware. So it's just one of those little things I wanted to try out playing with. This is all with GPT-4. I'm telling you, GPT-5 is a leap, a huge leap. They, in the video, the introduction video that opened the app, it's important to note that they compared the last three models to students and teachers, I guess is the best way to put it. I'm going to take a real quick one here. So back when I first started using chat GPT, they were on, gosh, what model were they on? I wonder if they, maybe, maybe the model reports, but I don't remember. But I got to use three a lot, and it was pretty cool. It drifted a lot, hallucinated a lot. You know, if I didn't know the answer, I learned that it would kind of make it up, and you really had to watch it like a hawk. But GPT-4, oh, it wasn't so bad. GPT-3 was like talking to a high school student, what the video kind of treated it to. I'm really smart and high schooler, you know. Maybe in the top 5% in the United States of high school students, but yet it's still a high school student level. GPT-4-0 means that level to a college student, maybe a graduate student, you know, a really difference. Well, the difference between 4-0 and chat GPT-0 is actually GPT-5, it's on chat GPT's platform. The GPT-5 is, now you're talking to a doctorate in everything. So there's deep research, that's another tool you can use. Remember, on AI agents and deep research and a few of the other tools, even though you pay for it, you're still limited. You get hex amounts in a month, and when you run out, they either drop you to a lower tier, or you just can't do it for the rest of that month. I did that with deep research last month. I was doing a lot of research though, so I knew I'd probably be at my limit. Fortunately on deep research, it does change it to a smaller, a mini research. So you submit a lot of really good researchable stuff. I just thought I'd give you little things, but I've learned so many things on our computer. You're talking about all work and everything? That's awesome. I mean, I like playing with it over the weekend because it helps with prompting. And I'll be honest, the entire region, I am playing with these little characters, or a little art, or whatever I'm doing on there. You know, it ended up becoming very profane as to whether I could make a computer and draw things back in. No, it's to learn how to prompt, and how to prompt well. What I was prompting is how AI works. It's just how it works. Yes, you can get on there and say, hey, tell me the weather. Hey, you know, it's a constant restaurant that serves Chinese. Any of them tell you. It's been a little more gutso than Google. But if you use it like Google, you're missing out on a lot. So anyhow, that's probably more than enough. I was driving home and I had a few moments to talk. I'm gonna send it back to you, Greg. KC2BKG. This is KG5. Alright, go ahead. KC5IRQ. This is KC2BKG. Well, that's pretty cool. That's pretty cool. And you'll keep telling us, while you kick the tires, chat GPT5. Neat. Neat. Ron, any use for AI in your investing or anything like that, this is KC2BKG. Over to AA4HO. Yeah, I asked it about pattern trading before. It's got a lot of good information. I'm not sure about something, you know, how it's – I don't make a trading violation. I ask the questions. It's really useful for stuff like that or setting up in a brokerage account different things. You can ask it, you know, what differences are, like, you know, between a bank and a brokerage. You could ask – it's got all kinds of things. Tax simplifications. It's not going to tell you, you know, how to – it could give you aid. But, John, resources on how to trade, if you wanted to find out for, maybe recommend books or courses. Let's see, some of the other things I might have used it for in that respect. I think you got the idea, though. I got this message on X. So many people are crypto crazy. I mean, it's unbelievable. If they get any indication, you know, you like crypto, it's like, you know, they're all over you. You know, like this last person, you know, that just mentioned, that messaged me. You know, I try to tell them, you know, well, if I trade any crypto assets like ETFs, Ethereum, or – along with other stocks, you know, I don't only just do that. And I kind of try to tell them, you know, that it's probably better, you know, you don't focus just on one thing. I mean, people are crazy about it because so many people make money, but people lost money in that, too. Some people got crushed. And I don't have, you know, the resources to tell them all that. But it's – some people had to give back a lot of what they mean on it, you know. But it's better, you know, to do more than just one thing. AA4HO, this is KC2-PTG. It's running its way into our lives. It's so interesting. I am not a big AI user at all. I really don't have anything to do with it. So I'm a little slow in the uptake here, but I'm looking forward to it. N0BF on the train on its way to Chicago. I'm passing the ball to you. This is KC2-PTG. Okay, open holes. This is N0BF. Thanks, Gray, and I'm enjoying it. Look out the window, watch the – just watch the world go by heading to Chicago. And just a glorious day. We saw the sun rise over Sandusky Bay this morning. Man, that was flat beautiful. At breakfast, and now breakfast number two or lunch number one. Something's going to happen at Chicago. Anyway, that's what's going on here. And AI is interesting about that. Let me know if AI6 can forecast the future. This is N0BF. Thank you. N0BF. Yeah, you came in clear as well that time. That's good. That's real good. Yeah, forecasting the future. I'm sure somebody's already working on that. They just need a methodology. I can ask the supercomputer anything. All right, let's see. We're down to the bottom of the list. We'll get some check-ins, and then we're going to pop quiz land. So if you'd like to get in on the cow bung and net, be Monday, August 11th edition. Come down with your call sign. This is KC2-PTG.
K.C.2.P.T.G. if you need to get back to me. K.B.9.N.S.K. this is K.C.2.P.T.G. Um, you know, probably, I think, one of the most uncomfortable and greatest questions you can ask. I mean, you should never give me money. I would never dream of asking somebody who served in the service whether they killed somebody or not. Although I heard the best answer to that in a movie with Robert De Niro called Rangin'. And all these guys are hired to do a job and they're all sitting around a table. And one of the young, younger kids asks, you know, did you ever kill anybody? And Robert De Niro looks around the table, looks at his friend, and he goes, Well, I heard someone's feelings once and I thought that was the best possible answer. Because it made the guy feel ridiculous for asking the question. Um, and that's good because I think it's a very written question. Yeah, I'm watching Aaron now too. Um, it doesn't look like it's going to give us on the East Coast too hard a time. It's going to stay out to sea. At least that's what they're saying now, but who knows? I mean, there's a big storm. It's the first official hurricane of the season. Oh, that reminds me. So, Ron, for emergency power you're going to batteries, big batteries. And that's when you find out how much power the refrigerator actually uses. Which is, it's the start up of the cycle. It uses a vast amount of power. And when it first starts the cycle, just running, it doesn't use a lot of power. It does. And what I was going to ask you, do you have natural gas in your neighborhood? Or if you don't have natural gas then you could think about a propane generator. But getting a gas generator, that's a mistake. Because there's always, if you live in a crowded area, metropolitan area, you will not get any gas by the second day. We've seen that. So mine in Morristown was natural gas. And the longest I had to run that thing was 11 days. And it was great. And my neighbors loved me because I had extension cords coming out of my car. So I went to their houses. And, but yeah, you can look for an alternate fuel. And I run this one here, it's propane. And how long have I run? About a week and a half. And I burned the generator up. It just died on me. It came apart. And we were out, we got power for an additional three days, which was weird. Anyway, back to you Russell. KV9, NSK, this is KC2, PKG. Back to fuel when you're dizzy. KV9, go to KR4FRR, get back to speed. This is KR4FRR. I'm glad another gentleman was just talking about generators. I'm on the East Coast as well. And I probably need to drag my own out, crank it up, and make sure everything's good with it. And get prepared for the hurricane season. I have not run it in a year. I think it was about the last time I run it. But I do have a question for everybody who is a little bit more familiar with the records that we were talking about earlier. Like I said, I'm only on the cheap. I think it was about a $40 record player from Walmart that I've heard people talking about how much superior the sound quality was of records versus digital audio. And maybe the reason I couldn't see that it was any better was because of my record player that I had being so cheap. And with that all said, thanks to you Russell, KR4FRR. And there I go again. So 73, God bless. Alkal Kilo 3 Delta Charlie and thanks for letting me in. This is repeater station Kilo Kilo 7 November, close back November. Alkal Kilo 3 Delta Charlie. This is KC2P-TG and thank you for showing up. It's a pleasure to let you in. Good. Good. All right guys, that's it. It never happens without you and it's always a privilege and a pleasure to work with this group. I think we had a really good one today. And everybody maintained being respectful, which is good. That's the most important thing. I will say that we are going to work harder to police the facts because it's unfair to put out opinions as facts. If you can't prove it, you shouldn't say it. Or you should say, in my opinion, every time. But with that, I will let you guys go. Thank you so much for participating. This is KC2P-TG. My name is Gray. Out of East Machias, Maine, right on Gardner Lake, which is looking pretty shiny today. Very nice. I think we're going into town. But with that, I'm going to say KC2P-TG, over and out. Welcome to the Michigan conference number 96170 located in Western Michigan. Almost. Anyway, we still understood what you were talking about. And yeah, well, maybe you'll get rid of it pretty quickly, especially if it's not COVID. You'd be OK, I think. The flu definitely is still around and we've got to be careful with that kind of stuff. But, you know, get some nice hot tea and honey and maybe it'll soothe your throat a little bit. All right. We've got the last person on this list is Carrie in Scotland, and M-M-0-R-K-N. Have you got plans for the week? Something going on? This is KC2-PTG. Over to you. KN6UYZ. Uh, good morning everybody. KN6UYZ. Uh, good to hear everyone out there. Just got out of, just rolled out of bed. Barely. What time is it? Quarter to, uh, quarter to five here in California. Well, uh, Eat With Fingers. Uh, that sort of hit a bell. Well, uh, I went to a restaurant called Dama Creve in Los Angeles quite a few years ago. And they didn't provide silverware. No silverware at all. We ordered a dish called Lemon Chicken and it comes out as a whole chicken. In fact, we ordered two of them. And there were four people. And one person was designated the person to tear the chicken apart in pieces with their hands. And it was sort of a hot chicken to boot so it was sort of a problem. And rice and olives and, uh, so the one person tore things apart into sort of bite-sized pieces. Sort of boning it at the same time. And, uh, everybody jumped in at the table. We were sitting on pillows with a small, low table in front of us. And, uh, that's how we ate dinner. It was, uh, different. Seeing internet pictures of people eating with their hands is a little gross. Uh, so yeah, not my, not my thing. And then somebody mentioned salmon. Was that Josh? Salmon, yeah. Love salmon. Salmon and rice. Salmon and rice bowls, that kind of thing. Uh, great. But, you know, the last time I bought salmon it was almost tasteless. And I don't know, that was the grocery store. I don't know how to really, I don't know how you get good salmon to ensure that you're getting the right thing. Because they paint salmon, right? They paint them painted orange. They make it look like it's, uh, the color is right. I don't know. There's two or three different grades of salmon in the grocery store and I have no idea which one to get. So that's sort of a problem for me. Maybe somebody knows the right way to do it. That's all I have for this round. KN6UYZ, back to that. The only way to get salmon is come to Newfoundland and catch your own. You're allowed two per year with a $20 salmon fishing license. North Atlantic salmon. Yum, yum. Get you some. Alright, KN6UYZ. This is KC2PKG. Yes, salmon. When we were traveling in Alaska, um, I remember pulling into, uh, Fred Meyers. And, uh, going over to the fish counter and the salmon was so red you could see it across the store. It was just amazing. Um, we, Peter had a comment and I walked right by him. So I've got to go talk to Peter now. Peter, what's your comment? I agonized a little bit over it, but I got the response that I thought I would. Um, and everybody's just a little bit more aware of what's going on in the background. That may have been fear, by the way. Um, and that could be my fault. Um, because I encouraged Gabby as much as I could. Um, and she just got stronger and stronger and stronger. And that may have been a threat to one of our members. Um, especially Sundays. They may have thought of that as their time. Um, and we organized Sundays. And Gabby was behind a lot of that. But I was also saying, you know, I had a girl. You're doing a good job. This is great. I wish we could get more. You know, and, uh... But I do. I encourage people, um, to, you know, help out and organize and come up with new ideas and all of those things. And she was really good at it. But she had her help. On the hopeful side, uh, Gabby has gone before. For the first time she was on, she was a real nomad. And she was on for about four months, maybe five months, something like that, and then not on anymore. And then all of a sudden she comes back. Um, so you never know. You never know. Although, you know, one of our members thought of it, I think, picked up on it as kind of a personal attack, but it wasn't. It's just a news quiz. Um, and so we'll be doing that next Monday. Ope, back to you. And the weather is going to stay cool for the next week, so I'm going to climb on my boat and pull the cover off, take down all the framing, and start replacing those seats. Otherwise, I'm not going to have a place to park in the garage. That is very important. Yeah, there is kind of a growing sense of dread, isn't there? Hanging over the country, or I'll wait and see, you know, is this a slow motion train rack or is, you know, are we going to soldier through and not really feel it? The erasure of the find, I thought, you know, that's too bad. That's too bad because this, the whole conviction, and it's a real conviction, I mean, there was a jury, there was a judge, and they found him guilty. And what he was doing, even though, you know, we say, well, there was no victim or stuff like that, you know what? It was fraud, and he broke the law. It doesn't seem to be affecting him, but still, you know, it just doesn't seem to be affecting him, which I, so, what are you going to do? You know, I get convicted of fraud on one case, and he's a felon in another. But it doesn't, it doesn't slow them down at all. So I marvel at that, you know? Does that mean I can do anything I want to do? Maybe it does. Maybe it does. Thank you for showing up, Adam. Always good to have you around. Peter, VE1, W-I-N, this year from you too. V01, U-K-Z, that's a terrible story. That is the saddest thing I ever heard. It's awful. And KV0, M-A-I, Trucker George. So, let's go to Peter and find out. Peter, how was your weekend? And what's going on for you this week? Yeah, morning. Graham had a good weekend. I'm heading back to Halifax today with Daddy. He's got two appointments. He wants me to drive him back to Halifax. So, we're gonna make a D-Trip out of him. I think we'll head to his anyway. Drop a few things off. I get to drive a Lexus. Whoopee. I don't know his Lexus yet, so this should be interesting. But he's trying to sell his Lexus too, because his wife bought a brand new Lexus and she's driving it back from Ontario. So, here's a Lexus. This is a 2015. He wants $12,000 for it. So, it's not a bad price, I don't think, but it's got 250-something-thousand kilometres on it. So, there you go. Back to you, Graham. I want to eat some breakfast here. I'm gonna be leaving here at about 9 o'clock. So, I'll eat my breakfast here, Graham, and then I'll stick around until I leave. So, back to you, Graham. That is cool. V-E-1-W-I-N. That's K-C-2-P-K-G. And, uh, that sounds like a good price. What, 200-and-some-odd-thousand kilometres on it? They should last, though. Cars like that are built to last. They're built at a slightly higher standard. It makes a big difference. Alright, well, we'll go on to Darrell. Oh, you've got the most depressing story of the day. That is really too bad, Darrell. So, that was your weekend, making that discovery. What else is going on with you? This is K-C-2-P-K-G. Over to you, V-O-1-U-K-Z. Oh, not much, Greg. Yeah, I was pissed, man. I was pretty pissed. First, I was confused. And then, once I looked at it, and my dad looked at it, it was clear. Someone had done it. It was sabotage of some sort. And, uh, that was my weekend, man. I was so depressed over this shit. Yesterday, I literally took a sleeping pill in the daytime. And, uh, slept most of the day, and then stayed awake all night. Uh, last night. I haven't slept, um, last night. I did yesterday in the afternoon, so, I mean, I'm tired, but I'm not really tired. I'm just more angry. The reels are spinning, man. I mean, I've got stuff here I could settle, you know, to cover it. But, I really don't want to be doing that, you know, without other things that I love, so, it's just a pain in the ass, man, is what it is, to be honest with you. But, I don't know what I can do about it, so, there's no sense in really dwelling on it. It's just so fresh in my mind that it's, you know, it just got me so pissed off. And, uh, yeah, anyway, what do you do? Well, yeah, it looks like the exhaust is completely snapped off. I don't know if you know, like, how they, you know, like, single cylinder motor works, like, on a motorcycle. The exhaust is, like, bolted to the motor, and then it's, like, it's curved, and then it goes toward the back of the vehicle. Well, right where it connects to the motor, one of the bolts are completely snapped off inside the motor, like, where it bolts on. So, a buddy of mine said that it's probably, well, it's going to need a new exhaust, chances are, because the old one is all dented up. And, uh, the, possibly, the top of the motor, like, just the head part, uh, the motor itself is still fine. I mean, I went out and I started up, and I started up first full, good to go, let's go ride. But I noticed right away it was really loud. And, uh, when I went to, you know, when I started riding it, it was really, really loud. And I could hear a rattling, and it was the exhaust pipe, man. So, yeah, you can't even ride it the way it is now. It'll literally burn up the guts of the motor if it's ridden the way it is now. So, I was told, don't even start it, don't even move it. So, I don't know, man. It had to be done when all that crap was going on over the last couple months with my neighbors and whatnot. Someone probably thought it was my neighbors and gave it a kick. That's what it looks like was done with my dad sitting. It looks like someone kicked it and landed right on the side of the tailpipe and just snapped it off. So, I don't freaking know, man. I'm just disgusted. But anyway, hopefully someone else has got some happier news today. VL1UKZ, I get on the positive side, let me reset. It's sunny, and we're finally starting to get some warm temperatures up here. We've got 22 degrees Celsius right now. It's a nice morning here. This is like the part of the summer, man. Prime riding time. And, no, that ain't gonna happen. VL1UKZ. VL1UKZ, this is KC2PKG. You know what? I haven't seen it, but I bet somebody hit it with a car. They just drove into it and then turned around and went away. Because to do that kind of damage to snap off a bolt on the exhaust, I don't think you can do that with a kick. I mean, it's a trail bike. It's built tough. So, I would be suspicious if somebody either backed into it or hit it from the side, something like that. And that's really too bad. I don't know if it's pretty, that bike has served you pretty well. You might think more about replacing it for that kind of money rather than fixing the old one up. But, it'll be up to you. You get to think about it now for a very long time. KCOMAI, George, this is KC2PKG. How was your weekend? And what are you doing this week? This is KC2PKG, over to you, George. Yeah, it can't be zero in the air right here this morning. You know, everybody. It's a little starting today, but I'm sure it'll get better. How about off getting into it this morning? I thought I rebooted my phone when I was able to get in. I don't know what the heck was causing that problem. It was on my end and a few dropped limbs. I don't know if it was anything like that. My try has been fun, huh? The weekend was just fine. We had a good weekend. I didn't really do anything special. I just got out and cut the graph. I did it all at one time and it was probably a little bit too much for me. I wound up burdened in life. I'm going to hold up as long as I used to. This is repeater station Kilo Kilo 7, November to November. I'll start Kilo 6222. About half a day, but still a better Kilo 6222. He had a grandson come over and spend the night. He was still just talking to me. It wasn't scheduled, but he just called up and said, hey, can I spend the night? Yeah, sure. I'm going out. And what else? Did the, I moved to a reset. I've been methurellic at GVT for several months now. And I've always been curious with the plastic gimping. I know the days went up to chat GVT. GVT. I'm quite better, smarter, more usable, supposedly. I just decided what the hell. So I went ahead and did a monthly subscription. And I'm reaching for a couple months to see if I can be a good city editor. I think it's worked out well for money. They kind of give stuff. Do a lot of editing on there. And a lot of research. It seems to give them a lot more. Would you just get better at parking? Yeah, but we'll see. It's just also not shut me down after a few tries. That was one of my biggest problems. I started researching stuff. So I'm asking questions and this, that, and the other. All of a sudden I say, oh, you can come back in about 14 hours. And that bothered me. So, you know, if it's a good day, they do have a plan now where you can buy yearly for like $200. So you save $40 off a year. But I just want to go off right off the bat and pay for it. I want to see if this is a viable thing for me for what I'd like to do. Other than that, I'm just, you know, going to be driving the truck for the rest of the next four days. I like to put you in. Counting the days. Counting the days. I'm not going to do this anymore. You found out me. Changing up my CDL license and never, ever looking truck again. Anyhow, back to net control. KV0MAI. KV0MAI. Yeah, you shortened that recently. Aren't you down to like a year now? And then you're going to retire? I thought you said something like that. Refresh my memory. This is KC2PTG. Yeah, I was hoping December of this year. I'm still working out the medical side. I think I got that all solved. But I'll go for sure by the end of this year. And it's going to be okay for me to take care of him. But I guess not. We're looking to go later in June. So, yeah, less than a year. Well, that's great. That is great. It's nice to know that the end is nigh. Alright, if you'd like to join in on the conversation on the Monday morning, August 11th edition of the Calabunga Net, come down with your call sign. Last night we got on the train in Buffalo, New York. And we're on our way to Chicago. I think we might be half an hour ago. Heading towards Chicago. But then it was clear as a bell. So you're in good shape. And you guys are making me crazy. It's when I'd love to be on that train. That'd be cool. Very cool. Hopefully, I'm on my cell phone, so hopefully I'm not blasting you out of your seat. It's so I could turn it down. Just sitting down at the back porch, just got done feeding the cats. The XYL adopted a couple of neighborhood cats, and they kept running over here, and she was feeding them, and they kept coming back. So we claimed them, I guess. Just can't have them in the house. They're outdoor cats, but at least they'll keep the mice out of the house. There's one, I seen one the other day, climbing up my blinds in my bedroom. I was like, there's a mouse crawling up my blind. I told that the XYL was laying in bed asleep, and she about jumped out of her pants. But yeah, hope everybody's doing great this Friday morning, and it's nice here right now, about 70 degrees or so, and the sun's just now popping up. Back to you, Gray. KC2PKG, WJ90. This is repeater station WJ90. This is KC2PKG. I'm in a bit of a quandary this morning. It's not unusual for one of our cats to go on walkabout. We have five, and they're indoor-outdoor cats. So they go in, and they go out. But this afternoon, you know, I usually close the door at about four o'clock, and I never get this guy. His name is Jacques. But in the winter, he'll be much more likely to come in. But usually in the morning, you get up, and you know, he's lying outside the slider in our bedroom, you know, waiting for somebody to, you know, feed him. And he gets pretty well. But yesterday, I heard a whole bunch of shots from about one road away, maybe half a mile, something like that. A whole bunch of shots. And I'm thinking, uh-oh, I wonder what's going on. Because he's a Maine Coon cat. He's big. You would think that, you know, this is a bobcat or something like that. And so now he didn't show up in the morning, and I'm worried. But I don't know what you could possibly do if somebody shot your cat. You know, what can you do about it? It's probably not even illegal in Maine to shoot somebody's cat, unless you're on their property or something like that, and cats don't have a lot of respect for property laws. Anyway, that's my tale of the world, so I'm just sitting around worrying about that. But right now, I want to see if I can draw anybody else into this thing before we go back to the top of the list. I did my first, you know, I was baptized when I was a baby and, you know, I did my first communion in the second grade and then it came, it started to come out around then that some stuff was bad. It started to come out about this orphanage here locally called Mount Cashel. And if you look up Mount Cashel story, Newfoundland on YouTube or Google, you'll find some horrendous things. This was an orphanage where a lot of kids were brought and it was a big scandal out of the world. It also came that kids were being molested and mistreated and beaten by priests and not so much priests but Christian brothers were doing all this heinous crap to these kids. And then later it came out stories about, well this wasn't, you know, until the last like ten years, about the residential schools here in Canada where priests did some heinous things to a lot of kids. A lot of kids were killed and mass bodied graves without telling anybody because these kids were pretty much orphans. So you know, there's been mass graves uncovered and stuff like that.
