"text": "Yeah, no worries, I never checked out. I was telling Bill 73 in the group message, no big deal though, no worries, things happen. Funny, I was just going to let it go, but you started talking about home ownership and the use of today and funny, I just got done watching two or three very good explanations The difference between home ownership around 1980, no, it was 1992 was the year that they used. No, 1991, I'm sorry, 1991 was the year that they used as their base compared to today. So 1991 compared to today. The median age of home, first time, the median age of first time home ownership changed From 1991, that being around the median age of 24, I believe it was, in 2025, the median age of first-time home ownership is 42. I believe they said 40 or 42. I'm 45, folks. I've owned one house in my life, no, two houses, I should say two houses, one I inherited. I've owned two houses in my lifetime. I'm currently looking to buy our final forever home. So I'm keeping a really big eye on this, just like they talked about 50-year mortgage rates, which I believe they're never going to do by the way, that would just be stupid. So anyhow, I just wanted to bring that little factoid up that it seems like the age, the median age of home ownership has completely eclipsed an entire generation going from the age of 20 to the age of 40, roughly. You know, that's crazy, isn't it, if you sit there and think about it. And I realize, and I'm sorry, Kevin, I should pay better attention. Saturdays I try to get up and do a lot of these little house tours in the morning. I did not answer your questions of the day, so I apologize. I do not eat liver, ever. I was forced to eat it as a kid, liver and onions, I absolutely hate it. I fish rip it and that's about it. However, I have a strong affection for some good chicken fried gizzards. I will eat my late and your late put together with chicken gizzards. And the best way I've ever heard of it was just on this night today. It's a chewy chicken nugget. I've never heard it put that way, but that's absolutely the truth. Okay, well with that, thanks for letting me jump back in here and I say 73's to you all. Have a great Saturday and we'll catch you on Monday when Gray hosts the Monday edition of the Calabunga Net KJ5 IRQ, I don't even know my own call phone today, sending it to VA3KKY. 73, y'all. I will save this question for next week, no worries. And make sure you're here and thanks a lot for everyone for being present today. you that make the nets if not I'd be in here talking to myself let's do it again tomorrow well let's talk to the group tomorrow and I'll be in the aisles throwing rock throwing rocks at the stage and nothing will happen to me because it's an unofficial day 7-3 y'all take care VA3KKY"

"text": " Well that worked out perfectly because I just got back to my apartment and my aide just barely left. She she likes to talk to me and so um I was just kind of like going thinking please just go away I need to talk to my friends but I can't do it when you're here. So she just left just at the right moment so it worked out pretty well. Um anyway good morning glad everybody's doing you know well for a Saturday. I'm going to go out and see if I can get some more people to join in with the group here because we are getting down to a very small list. There's lots of stuff to talk about, so I'm not worried. "text": " KB7PDW. This is KC2PKG. I think the judge agreed with you. There wasn't enough going on to warrant what the aftermath is. All right. KN4YAQ, welcome back, Gabby. It's great to hear you. We're asking how your weekend went. What did you do? And what's your favorite sandwich? Really ask the really hard questions here. So it's over to you, KN4YAQ. KC2PKG, KN4YAQ. Good morning. Good morning, Kalabungans. Hope everybody's doing okay. No news here, really. Tried my hand at sourdough. Failed about five times. I guess the starter wasn't active enough. But then it finally kicked in and it was successful. So my first attempts didn't work out. If you put it as a general, my first attempt at doing sourdough was pretty good. You don't use the wild ferment of the flour that you're going to create. I'll see you outside of that favorite sandwich."

"text": " Well, wow. You know, it's amazing how I think about 20 years ago they had a hurricane down in Texas area and they had a whole bunch of vacation trailers just up north of Texas and they could have brought those down and temporarily helped the people out. But oh, no, they don't pass code so we can't have them down here. You know, it seems like when there's an emergency you throw the kind of rules out the window and you just help the people. Whatever you can do. You know, I think I'm pretty sure the ham radio community was helping down there and I heard a story that after a week or so FEMA came in and said, well, we don't need you ham radio guys. We'll take it over. I tell you. There were people that were sent to a community sports arena or something down there. Why couldn't the helicopters just drop some water down there for those people? They went to the Coliseum or whatever and I don't think they could use it. So it was kind of weird. But anyway, it's going to be interesting. Here in Portland they said they've got less crime. We don't need the National Guard here. I don't know what the National Guard would do in the city of Portland anyway. There's just buildings down there. But they said crime is down. Well, yeah. The drug people took meth or whatever and died. I don't have much sympathy for them. I would think if we provide some kind of housing, drug counts for people every once in a while, if you're on drugs kick them out on the street again, I say. Santa is kind of harsh that way I guess. But if you're on drugs I don't have much sympathy for you. KB7PDW backing in."

"text": " Okay, there we go. Good deal there Jim. I don't think you've ever timed it out before. How about that? But good story. I know the ramps. You're talking my grandfather was an engineer on the railroad. He worked just local down in the steel mills. And like I said, the risks are tough. They're definitely tough for sure. And you mentioned that ramp and how the cars go up there. I'll tell you to this day, if I have to load something into the back of my truck, I find a grade that I can kind of back up to that lowers the tailgate. Because the tailgate's high. It sits pretty high. And people always tell me, boy, that is really smart. I'm like, I don't know, for me it seems like common sense. I see people trying to lift stuff into their vehicles and I see them right by a dip in the road or something, or a curb. I'm like, just back up to that. That takes another two feet of lifting off of you. Anyway, Jim, always good to hear you there. I've got Mel and Terry on the rechecks. And then we're going for Brekkie. So KB7PDW from KK7 internet."
