Thanks for coming in. I don't know if you heard what we're talking about tonight or not, but we're discussing rallies and events for RVers or anything for that matter, but primarily for RVers, RV events, RV rallies. What do you look for? If you were interested in a rally, what would get you interested in going to a rally? How far would you go? I've gone not to which to the country, but I've gone to the depths of the country, top to bottom, to attend a rally. So I went from Florida up to the north of New York to a rally."

I guess it does tend to probably wash off a little bit of that tasty salt from those peanuts. But thanks for stopping by, Jeff. And stay dry. And inside for the time being, I guess, till there's better conditions down there. At least it's not too cold, huh? Good business. With that, it's 9.28 PM. My name's Matt. I am a Ki-7UEF operating as a substitute tonight on the Thursday 9 o'clock med from Central Oregon, the high desert on All Star. And I'm going to build one more round here. I would like to build this round in a systematic and calm approach, please slowly and phonetically come ahead with your call sign and name."

"text": " Okay. I'm sorry about the delay. Yeah, I was actually trying to respond when you first called, but then my note was being as telemetry, and then the second time it was identifying. So, and it's not, I don't have full duplex. I had to wait until it was done both times. So anyway, here I am, and I just now tuned in, but I caught what your topic is tonight. And kind of like what you were just describing, I don't know if it was, I don't think I, I don't remember, although that doesn't mean it hasn't happened, but I don't remember doing any camping in freezing temperatures, but I have been camping both tent and RV when the weather has gotten down into the 30s, and several times in pretty heavy rain. And I don't remember any unusual issues, just the standard things that happened from that. I do know in our RV, our little Toyota Motorhome, we were camping a couple times when it got down into the 30s or low 40s, and the furnace in the motorhome wasn't working. And we were plugged in, so I was able to use a space heater, but I didn't want to run that on high, and it just, it was not keeping up. So I did actually a couple times for a few minutes, had to fire up the stove, you know, the propane stove for a little bit, because I ate that little space very well, very quickly. And we were running like overnight or anything, I'm not going to do that. But that's really, as far as, except for being really wet, you know, tent camping, a few times I can't really think of any real big issues we had, aside from just being frustrated about that. But I'm going to send it back before I time out. Okay, you have an hour left. This is repeater station Kilo Kilo 7, November, Quebec, November, All Star Node 6222. Okay, Ron, I'm trying to leave some dead air there for time for the links to clear, and somebody to be able to key up. Sometimes I jump in a little bit too fast, I guess. A lot of people don't know to do that, and they come in right on the tail of somebody else, and it makes it really hard to get in. I apologize. But yeah, you've got some pretty typical experiences. Sounds like most people don't do camping when it's that cold. We as full-timers don't have any choice, but we try to follow 73 degrees or 70, trying to remember what Jim Cox used to call it. Chasing 76 degrees, I think is what he called it. He had a blog that was all about their full-time RV travels in an Airstream trailer. And he used to talk about that. Anyway, we are following his footsteps. We chase the mid-70s. I'll just put it that way. Don't always get it, but we chase it. Alright, is there anybody else out there before we start the lightning round? Please call K4HM."

I actually thought you had been in the United States at some point, but maybe I'm mistaken on that. You can re-renewate on that when we get back around to the second round, which looks like it's going to be coming up pretty quick here. I don't have anybody else loved on right now. Your tent camping, I tent camped back in the late 50s when I was in the Boy Scouts. I was in the Boy Scouts until after we got married, but the early days in the Boy Scouts is the only time I did any tent camping. We were in some cold weather a couple of times. I don't think we were ever in freezing weather or snow. A lot of rain, which you have to remember fighting the rain. By the time I got done with Boy Scouts, I was in lodges and things like that where the scouts were in the tents, not the leaders. Anyway, do we have anybody else out there that would like to check in to the RV Radio Network multi-mode EchoLinkNet, please call K4HM."

"text": " We have a fall rally coming up. Where did it go? We have a fall rally coming up here in just a few days. And the website has changed and I'm not seeing where it is. But it's going to be down in Texas. And I know what was on here. Here it is, Brauning Lake, San Antonio, Texas. October 12 through 17. So it's coming up in just a few days. Some people are already en route as we speak. We do have some other things coming up below that on our website. We've got court sets coming up in January. We've got, we're going to be going to, some of us will be going to Hankeishon in February. We've got a spring rally in Florence, Indiana coming up in May. And we've got a fall rally at Milton, Florida coming up in October, next year. So those are, preliminary information is on the website for those events. Alright, that's all I've got. Let's see who has shown up on the list. We have KA7RON on Echo Link. And I don't see anybody else coming in over there. And let me find where I am here. I don't see anybody else listed on Netlogger. So Ron, it looks like you're the only one here. The topic for tonight is Halloween at the campground. I don't know if you're going to be, well I guess you're going to be at the campground. I think you're down here if I'm not mistaken. Or headed this way. But have you seen Halloween at campgrounds before? What kind of experiences have you had for Halloween at campgrounds? Over to you Ron. KA7RON from K4HN."

"text": " Okay, well that qualifies. We don't care if you have an RV or not. Longer a hanger than properly, you're welcome to be on our net. We're open to everybody everywhere. And yeah, I'm an old man now, but I started out as a Boy Scout and I did tenting as a Boy Scout the whole way up until the time I got married. Of course, most of the time I got married, most of the time I was in cabins instead of tents and the kids were in the tents, but I was still involved anyway. But, well, married life didn't go along with it, so we gave that up and 50 years later, 45 years later I guess, I retired and we started RVing and we started with a small tight pole behind and grew from that to a bigger pole behind and grew that to a motor home and went full time about 14 years ago now. So, we've enjoyed it. I guess 13 years ago I think it is. Alright, guys, that's the bottom of the list and we normally do a pass through without the neck control. We can try that. I know there's a bunch of guys that are not going to be in here, so we're probably going to have trouble with it. I'll jump in probably and push it down the road. But I'm going to turn it over to Phillip AF7RC. Phillip can pass it to David KB6WHV and David can pass it on to Phil W4AKY, but Phil dropped off the list and wasn't there, so give him a call, but he's probably going to have to go over to Jerry, W8SLR, and Jerry can pass it over to WT, or he's already checked out too. He can pass it to Mr. K, AE7MR. Mr. Terry can pass it to George, AD2I8. George can try Ron, KA7RON, and Ron can pass it on to Richard, WB9CSP. Richard can pass it to Terry, KF8ERZ. Terry can pass it on to VK2DY, Robert. Robert can give it to me, and I'm going to pass it on down to Martin, to Echo, well actually we're skipping Dave. He's skipping to, I'll give it to, probably you can give it to Dave, K, I'll get it right, GeorgeWiskie8, sugarZLima, and Dave can give it on down down to Martin, to Echo0EVP. K4HM, go ahead Phillip."

I think some people started decorations a month ago. I expect to see Valentine's decorations going up soon too. Everybody is ready to run to it. It's October. The inflatables are all over people's lawns. I'm sure the neighborhood kids will have a blast. It's really special on the campground with the fires going. The smoke. Kids tripping all over each other. It's a blast. With that, Dr. Knett. Good to hear a new station here tonight. This is WA2SOR, New Jersey. Over."

We got KA7RON checked out, W2SLR said he wasn't going to be able to stick around. KI5ECE I guess will be up first. And, uh, this is going to be a short list. KI5ECE can pass it down to George, 82IH. And George, he can give it to Stephen, NY4NC. And Stephen can pass it on to Dave, KI7IHU. Dave can pass it to Mark, KI6HOB. And Robert checked out, so Mark can pass it on to W4TTS Jacob. So, uh, that's how we're going to go with it. Uh, KI5ECE, take it away. Alright Hank, this is KI5ECCO-TRI-ECCO, just 10 miles north of Dallas-Fort Worth Airport. It's a great night here. We had a little sprinkles come through and it's already down to lower 80s. So, we had a little bit of a cool front push through. Who knows? It's been nice and immense like that. Went out, uh, been home most of the time. Been, uh, without RVing last week to the local Corps of Engineering camp. And lo and behold, we camped on the two hottest days of the summer in Texas. So, it was, uh, it was an interesting couple of days out in the middle of the week. Well, I'm busy here in Texas. I'm trying to correct as many, uh, things for the fall rally as I can to bring down to my Texas buddies so we can raffle a whole lot of stuff off. And I'm constantly looking for more stuff to bring back. So, I hope we'll have a lot of giveaways when we all get together October 12th through the 17th down in San Antonio. I'm looking forward to that. So, uh, just doing that and getting ready and then making improvements on the camper. Gotta get ready for quartzite in January. More batteries and I'm going to put an inverter in so I can have some AC out in the desert. Alright, so I am going to pass it off to 82 IH. Pick it up and run with it, George."

So I hope I didn't mess things up too bad. But we'll see. Anyways, it is what it is. So, the clubs are... We just had the Franklin County Amateur Radio Club meeting Monday. And then next Tuesday is the RARS meeting. And that's... There are plenty of sources for information. And to be able to reach out and help people. So that's good. Anyways, I don't have anything else to add. I need to get back to the printer. So 73, God bless. Have a good night everybody. NY4NC Charlie. Back to net. This is repeater station Kilo 7. I have the email with me. All Star No. 122. Located in Shelton, Washington. I'm going to have to get what the topic is. It's something I would like to be able to be there for. Unfortunately, it's not going to work out for us. I haven't been to a RARS meeting for quite some time now. Even on land. But anyway, it's a great club. I spent a lot of time in the RARS club as well. Longer than I've been a member here. Thanks for being there. Let's see if RARS is still around. KA7RON. Called on once and didn't get a reply.
