It's always fun to celebrate birthdays. I love getting to celebrate them. Glad you two got out to a place to celebrate that's extra special when you get to spend your birthday with your friends and family. So awesome you two got out there. Glad to hear you had a pretty normal workday. Exciting workdays are not very exciting if you know what I mean. They're high highs. So normal workdays are good workdays in my book. And yes, new computers books and I kind of chuckled when you said that. We both recently got newer computers. Mine is very plastic. Your new one is. It's I think an HP brand and it's also tiny compared to my old computer and even though it's faster and all that like yours is, I'm with you. I'm like, wait this is... yeah. They definitely feel more plastic-y. I mean they get smaller as time goes on and yeah. That is not for me doing all the paperwork that I do. So I'm with you there Madeline. Plastic-y computers unite. How does that sound? You have a wonderful rest of your evening and we will talk to you again soon and hopefully we'll get to see you again soon. Alright folks that's it for tonight. And I was saying, maybe he'll show up. And yeah, it's only 80 degrees here in Chandler, Arizona today. So we're going up to 95. This is pitiful weather, I'm telling you. Although our prognostication machine says I might get a thunderstorm here in about two hours. So it could happen. We've been getting a bit of that lately, which we appreciate by the way. They usually come in the evening though. Afternoon, evening, all the clouds blow up, you know, six, seven miles high in the sky. And then it dumps a fat pile of rain. And that's always awesome. So anyway, Brooks is up next. Hello and good morning, K9PDC. I came out in Kent this morning for a meeting. Yeah, a little bit hazy out here still. It doesn't quite look as bad as yesterday morning did. But I did hear, I think it was Tree that was talking about the moon last night. And yeah, so I was out playing softball last night. And when the moon first came up, it was very, very red when we first saw it, when it started to get dark. And then as it got higher in the sky, it got more and more orange. Very cool looking. I didn't see it the night before. I think Magoo or someone has mentioned it on the net that it was supposed to be a blood moon. But anyway, yeah, so looking forward to the weekend. Megan and I are at home this weekend. Oh, it's been a while since we've been at home for the weekend. So kind of looking forward to that. Football starts this weekend. We are going to the Husky game tomorrow. So that should be fun. We'll probably be watching at least part of the Seahawks on Sunday. Fall is here. Football is usually a sign of it. But with the rain moving back in, I didn't really know how many more good dog park days we would get in at least to Marymore. It gets pretty nasty at Marymore in the winter. And I tend to stay out of there because it is a lot of work to give both the hounds a bath. So we're gonna head up there, let them run around, and then grab some lunch on our way back and get to some outside projects. I am hoping to get the front flower bed where all the coax runs through to get to our antennas outside. Cleaned up, there's lots of little pine cones from our pine trees out there. And get some weed barrier down until I'm ready to decide what I wanna do out there, Kirk, with that area. So that's what we're up to. Thanks for doing the net 73s. But anyway, it's Monday and back at it I've got some problems that I've got to fix today. So I'm headed into the branch to make sure I've got all the right hardware and stuff to do that. Canine BDC Brooks here, mobile on 405 South in Renton, headed into Seattle. Oh, bit of a frustrating morning this morning. I have a doctor's appointment coming up at the end of the week, just to check up, you know, and they have you go in and do your labs and my doctor's like, oh, you can go in ahead of time if you'd like, you don't have to. So I thought, hey, I had some time this morning, so I was gonna do that. Well, my doctor's office is about two minutes down the road from my house, which is really convenient for doing that. I went down there and the person who does the labs had called in sick. So I was not able to get my labs done there, but they told me that conveniently 10 minutes down the road was the rest in clinic. And I could go down there and get my labs done. So I drove down there and let me tell you, there was one heck of a line in order to get your labs done. And I had only planned to drive about two minutes down the road. So having to be in Seattle at 9.30, that just didn't work out for me. So I stopped and got myself some food because I wasn't supposed to eat before the labs. And now I'm headed to Seattle with no labs done. So I guess I'll have to do them later. That's okay though. Yeah hello there Jack and hello to everybody on the net. And of course it's 8.35pm here so yeah early Wednesday has been quite busy and a kind of mixed weather situation. This evening we're 48 degrees fan height and it stopped raining but we've had a mixture today of heavy rain, wind as well. There's been kind of gusts of wind and yeah a bit of a mixed bag here but I've been hearing about the snow in various parts across the states but so far I'm touching wood. We haven't really had any snow yet and it's been quite mild here in Scotland so far for the winter. Quite unseasonal actually but we'll see what happens. I think the holiday season I think is actually going to be wet. That's what the forecast is so yeah we'll take that. I'd rather it be wet than snowy. I'm not a fan of the snow. It's nice right enough if you don't have anywhere to go but not so great if you need to travel in it unfortunately there Jack. And yeah it's been probably a week or two since I called into any of the nets. I've been quite busy with things going on at the school and various activities just in the lead up to the holiday season here. And tomorrow school finishes and I finish work so we'll be off for two whole weeks and I cannot wait so I'm really looking forward to that Jack. And plenty of radio time will be given I think. And yeah just hearing about the mesh tastic. I've done a little bit of mesh tastic as well. And it really surprised me how far the signals could carry with that just you know that 0.1 milliwatt on those water boards. Absolutely fantastic system and very impressive what it can do and of course not too much money on it either. So it's a great little project to experiment with. Well It's up to no people at all because you know, that's the thing to do during the winter when there's not much really to do Except be on the radio, which is more fun than being cold outside so In my infinite wisdom I did order after I had done all my Food chores first so I did that earlier You know not all that long ago a couple days ago I Proceeded to get me two treats Actually more than that because I did have to get hearing aid batteries But I did get me two treats I could use one to play with which would be the mini that everybody's been so Talking about So I got the clear and then I ordered a Microscope that could be hooked up to the TV so I can actually work with small detailed stuff So I will see how that works when it gets here I chose to get these two items because I had been wanting to get them for a while I did add them on my list for a while So since I had to rearrange the budget instead of big things like normally go and get I Went ahead and started on the small stuff. So I got these two items as a treat For doing all my chores first, especially shoving the bills at the door, but You know when things happen, you know you resort to figuring out ways to get what you want done And this is what I did So other than that, I had a good time I did go jump on the simplex earlier tonight and that was fun. Although at some point or another I almost thought that I had lost them again But turned out they actually heard me So I had a good time there managed to make contact give my report and that worked out. Okay I'm not sure what next month's treat will be in the way of electronic things, but I am looking At another antenna or an experiment. I am also looking at another device I can play with so we will see how those go When I first see how things are going to go that You know usual things happen, you know, you end up rearranging to do what you got to do Kj7 Xm saying hey all of you play it safe out there and I am turning it back to net.
