So thank you, my friend. Very much appreciate you and everything you do, and hope everyone is having a fantastic Saturday evening. This is KJ7JXM, clear. Back to you, my friend. Very good. Sorry, Robert, that was probably my fault. I guess I did not listen for your call. I will be more attentive. Anyway, there is a pass, an ISS pass, in four minutes, 63 degrees maximum height, so hop out there and actually bring your HD with you so you can continue on the net and go watch it go over. I wish I could do that, but I'm gonna delude into my seat here with your earphones and everything so I can hear everybody. As well as I can hear anything, which isn't too good sometimes. You're listening to the 9 p.m. PSIG SocialNet. My name is Bill, K7WFB, and time's marching on, but maybe there's a few more people who wanna join us, so let's give them the opportunity in this, I don't know, let's call it round four, I think, something like that. Come ahead now if you wanna talk to us. Call, sign, and name, please. EX2CW, what time is the ISS going on? Chris and Kenmore. Chris and Kenmore, let me acknowledge you first and let me answer Joan's question. The time is 10.15, and it comes up from the horizon in the west-northwest, disappears in the east. There you go, Joan. I don't know if you want to, did you wanna check in, did you wanna report also after the ISS, Joan? Yeah, I'll just check back in for now, my own. Take care, everybody, K7W. Okay, Joan, you can come around again. Let's go over to Chris and Kenmore. Come ahead, Chris. Hey, thank you very much for having me. I just went out and filled up my truck with gas, about $100, I recommend you don't drive a turbocharged V8 if you don't wanna pay that much. Actually, I do not know about the ISS pass. I'm getting close to a parking lot. I might pull over and see if I can spot it. I don't have anything with me that could receive the SS TV, though. And then to Robert's point, I have been always very pleased with Diode Dynamics, but I'm going to look up Mission X tonight and see if that's anything enticing. That's all the thoughts that are going through my head right now, KK7PZU. KK7PZU, I think you said. Thank you, Chris. Yeah, I think, the turbo, you and Robert and Kami ought to go in together on a nice oil well investment, I think is what you guys need. By the way, for anyone who is watching the ISS and has a HT, you can hear there is a repeater on that thing that is very easy to hear if you don't wanna bother with the SS TV. I am blanking on the frequency. It's UHF 440 something point eight, but I don't remember. Does anybody have that frequency handy? Seven, please, thank you very much. With no further traffic, I'll send it back to you. Well, Steven, thank you so much for getting me, for mangling your call. I always have trouble with calls out of the US because I just don't have the pattern in my head, so I don't catch them very quickly. Thank you for correcting me. But back in the US, although diagonally opposite from Seattle, all the way down in, what is it, Zephyr, Zephyr something in Florida, Zephyr Hills, isn't Elaine N3OMO. How was your day today? This is repeater station kilo, kilo seven, November. Hello, Bill. Yes, this is Elaine N3OMO from Zephyr Hills, Florida. You remembered. I'm very happy about that. Zephyr is a gentle breeze. So there you have that. Had a nice, quiet, relaxing day with all the animals and my brother. And watching those shows. I like the old shows. I like Columbo and some of those. They're really good. He was interested in seeing Columbo when he was really young. Then we saw one later tonight where he was older, so you could see the change like you can in all of us. Anyway, because then it's been a good day. My brother had a rehearsal at church. He's starting to play guitar in the church. He goes to Zephyr Christian, actually, is the name of it. And I go to first Christian. No, I go to the Presbyterian now. Oh, boy, I'm getting mixed up. I go to the Presbyterian now. But anyway, I'm glad that Rob is going to be able to play his guitar and carry on the family tradition of playing in church. I think that's cool. As you know, I used to play alto saxophones. I'm still on YouTube. You can find me. And I haven't played in about four years now. I had my bow in place in my heart. I have a bow find in there now. I asked him if it was a pig or a cow. And it's a cow, as they say, bow finds. So hence the N-3-L-M-O, a.k.a. Oink, moo, oink. Anyway, back to you, Bill. Thanks for doing the net. I'm so glad that you had a good day at the picnic. A little far for me to fly. But anyway, I'm glad everybody had a good time there. And Bill, you do a fine job doing the net. Don't just, you know, put yourself down. You do a lot better job than I ever could do. Anyway, back to you, Bill. Thanks a lot. November 3, oskarmeikonsker. Well, thank you for the compliment, Elaine. I complimented you so much better, with a little help from Richard Jack. But I'm trying. And yeah, thank you for reminding us of Columbo. I'd forgotten that show. I just quickly googled the reason he gets old, and young, and old, is it ran originally from, well, 68. And then it was on 71 to 78, so 10 years there. And then it came back from 89 to 2003. So the show was off for what? A lot of years. Anyway, I guess he would get old. Thank you very much, Elaine. Let's see, you were last on our list for that round. So let's see if anybody else is still up, or if you're all falling asleep, because you eat three hamburgers. Anybody out there, this is the 9 p.m. PSRT social net. My name is Bill, K7WFD. Okay, you got me when I was drinking some water and you said that and I started laughing. Yeah, Rocky came to the door and I was actually eating and looked over and he was standing on his hind legs looking in at me and so I put my meal down and went and got some peanuts and nuts for him and put it out for him and he was happy with that. He approved of what I sent there. He did a good quality check on the food. And yeah, earlier today brother put other nuts and peanuts out for those other squirrels. But yeah, the net that I just came off of in the poppus system, they were talking about pets. And actually these squirrels are kinda like pets to me now and wanting no cat boxes, you know. But they're entertaining and they do enhance and add something to my life and I'm glad they're coming around, you know. And I probably would get a, I actually thought about getting a cat but I don't think the two of them would mix very well. Anyway, of course I wouldn't let the cat out. It'd be an indoor cat. But you know, like I said, they're like pets without a cat box. So yeah, meanwhile here today it was about 72 degrees outside and sunny and I'm just, I have a, I have a program called Weather Station that I run on a tablet and it does, I cannot figure out how it handles the tracking of the different barometric pressures. It just doesn't seem to make sense the way it does it. It's still been a mystery to me and the trending and that so I don't know. One of those mysteries of life I guess. And but I have that up there and it shows the upcoming weather coming in next week or so and you know, the usual temperatures and time and you know, and barometric pressure and wind speed. And, cause it gets it from another weather station somewhere nearby. It's nice to have. And I have another weather station I use and it just basically tracks the temperature outside on my patio and does barometric pressure and time and date and everything. So it's actually, between the two of them I get a pretty good grip on what's going on out there weather wise. And I'm just trying to think what else we're onto today. And I watched some baseball and that didn't go well. So, so much for that. And so just generally pretty good days, can't complain. So I'll turn it back to Annette. Back to you Bill, thank you for doing it. And Rich has gotta get back here and get on the ball and give you some relief there. I don't know man, he'd rather go on a vacation or travel than help you out. You know, you gotta talk to him about that. AB6MB. AB6MB K7WFP, yeah I've talked to him. He just likes traveling. But I think Bella the cat may bring him home, we'll see. It is hard, you know, I'm not as good as Rich as in catching call signs and stuff. So he really supports me. Jack's helping me tonight. But I do wish Rich had come back and make it like old times. But he deserves a vacation, even if he had three since my last vacation. Well thank you Jeff, good to hear Rocky is doing well. That you have a standing date with Rocky. And he's doing well. And yeah, interesting weather station stuff. We're talking about mysteries. Lately I've been using AI a lot on some mysteries. I really didn't for like a year. I haven't really understood mesh-tastic channels and how the frequencies work and the private channels up. And I just never took the time to look it up. The other day I sat down with Gemini for about 15 minutes and explained everything. I mean it's really good for stuff like that. All right, let's move ahead now and talk to, where are we on the list? We're gonna talk to KL7DZQ, Kurt, come ahead Kurt. Well good evening Bill and good evening Danette. This is Kurt, KL7DZQ in Northeast Bellevue. Haven't had much of a chance to get on the 9 p.m. net lately and glad to be back. I've had a very quiet evening and it's nice to get on. Anyway, I've been working a lot with recycled materials and actually restoring my wife's childhood acoustic guitar. This is something that she got when she was nine years old and that was over 50 years ago. It's been sitting at our house for quite a while. It had some writing on it and had some stickers on it and I was able to remove that and remove the finish. And so now I'm down to the point where I'm going to be oiling it. Either boiled linseed oil or some other, tongue oil or something like that to bring out the natural colors in the wood. Looking forward to it, will it play? Who knows? Anyway, it's been sitting forever without any strings on it and so the neck may be no good. But anyway, it's fun to do and it's a learning process on how to actually work on these things and so this is a good candidate to do that. And now that I'm doing this, I built her a guitar from a kid for her birthday this year and now I'm hooked and I really want to start using recycled and discarded materials to create guitars and it sounds like fun. And really the only part of that that I don't really like doing is working with necks and electronics. But I like making the body. So anyway, that's my report for this evening. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Take care. This is Kurt, KL7DZQ, back to Ned. Kurt, KL7DZQ, K7WFD. That sounds like a lot of fun, yeah. I mean, it sounds like a whole new hobby area for you. I like the idea that you're refinishing this one. Refinishing is so gratifying because you can make such a much better appearance but doing something for like a piece of furniture or a table or something is just such a big job. But something small that you can really admire is like a guitar just sounds great. You don't have to put it out in the garage, you don't have to turn oil, you don't have to smell up the house, it sounds great. And yeah, I like the idea of the recycled materials. That's a great idea. Very good. Thank you so much for sharing that, Kurt. Let's move ahead and talk to Joan, KX2CW. Joan, how are you this evening? Hello there, Bill. Here is Joan, KX2CW, being careful not to overmodulate like I did earlier. When did I overmodulate? It was in my log. Yeah, it was at noon. I tried to adjust my modulation level to match Rebecca's but I overshot and I was overmodulated. Speaking of the relative humidity and the barometric pressure and the temperature, is I have them on my weathercaster on my iPad Mini 6. Which is really an excellent weather gasser, the weather app. And it's very thorough. Of course it says it's 18 degrees Celsius outside at the moment but it's cooling down. It's nice because all I have to do to cool off my apartment is to open the window. It's nice. I have three windows that crack open and that gives me some flow through. The only downside is when there's a lot of heat and the only downside is when the slackers are smoking. There's cigarettes down in the courtyard. It often wafts up into my windows. But what can I do? But I'm also looking at the barometric pressure and relative humidity and temperature. Although the indoor temperature of 24.2 degrees Celsius on my tri-quarter it has atmospheric sensors in it. And it does some real sensor stuff. I can detect electromagnetic, well typically the quality of the line, the mains electric utility. Which is usually the strongest electric field in a house. And in fact it shows how poor the quality of the sign waves. It's a very sloppy looking sign wave. And I've tested these my tri-quarter in other locations. And it's really showing a different wave form. A much cleaner wave form and less intense. But it also can sample audio. And much like FL Digi it can do fast for your transform on it and I can look at the audio spectrum and my voice fluctuating and stuff. In fact I can do that right now. Get out of the weather and go to audio. And there it is. I see my voice and a fast for your transform of my voice. But I can also switch it to mode to oscilloscope. And now I'm looking at an oscilloscope. But I can also change the mode to mixed. And I can see both the oscilloscope trace and the fast for your transform fluctuating. Anyway, but what I'll do today. Ah yes, I went to the recovery cafe to the women's circle. Which I was a facilitator of today. Because the regular facilitator was off doing something else. Also I have a friend, a professional singer, a vocalist. Who asked me about doing a recording of her. And so it makes me want to inventory my stuff. And I've got everything. I've got more than I need. After having inventoried I have all four of my dual diaphragm, dual element large diaphragm condenser canister mics. I have three of my super cardioid condenser compact condenser microphones. Plus the dynamic microphones. I've got five professional grade XLR dynamic microphones. But I also have my Tascam recorder. Which is capable of encoding mid-side. So if I record her just singing, you know like art songs or cabaret songs. She's an opera singer. Accompanied with a piano. I can do my cross figure eights. My convoluted version of it. Which is doing mid-sides and cross figure eight mid-sides. Which would work really well. In fact I'm talking into the microphone I would use. And the other microphone isn't doing anything. But I'm talking, oh my gosh look all on. KXCCW all the numbers back to net. That was the quickest close I've heard. Thank you for telling us all about your microphones. That you do have a great collection. And that does sound like a wonderfully fun project to record a really good singer. Do cabaret, I love cabaret. I like opera too. But you don't hear enough cabaret stuff. That stuff is so wonderful. Let's see where are we? Oh we're moving ahead now. And we're gonna talk to Joel KK7ZBX. Come ahead Joel. Hello, I had a nice evening in Kirkland. So my wife and I went to, I brought my radios. Went to Big Fin Hill Park. And so I could do this Simplex net there. I love this Simplex net. And really thanks to Dan and Jeff and Nelson and all the operators, the hosts for that. It seems to be complex to do all that, draw all that stuff down. And they even publish it for us. So it's really cool. And the idea I get from that is, you know, what's the intent of doing? You know, what can I do better? And so if you're just starting out like I am, there's nothing like it to really learn more about VHF. You know, multi-path. So I was up and I got some elevation off of that. My normal elevation's a lot lower than that park up there, up north of Juanita. And it was also good practice to have to run my mobile, which puts out, what can put out 55 watts, running on a battery. So I am glad I got some experience with that too, where I can kind of do like a fuel-date type test. And my wife was there and she read a book and I play with my radio. I will get her to get her to get eventually though. Get her on the radio one of these days. And she kind of, it was fun for her to watch. But I think I got her interested maybe. Who else? Anyway, KK7, ZBX. KK7, ZBX, Joel, thank you. That was a very interesting report. And just, I mean, heading out on a nice summer evening with your wife and just setting up and doing simplex."},{"callsign_confidence":1.0,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-07-26T22:25:21+00:00","id":11035,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":11034,"text":" Kilo for Bravo, Kimmy with Kilo 2A at 7, Kilo get X-ray Mike. Uh, we did have some interference there, but, uh, we got... I think we got the gist of it. Cammie, if you can come in with any higher power or, uh, over it on Internet, that would be great. But let's see how you do. Cammie, KJ7RAB, how are you tonight? Well, uh, I think we can go. We have one out there. Cammie here, KJ7RAB. Uh, yeah, we're both pretty tired. We had a long, action-packed day, and just wanted to pop in and say hello. Good evening. Um, I don't like to miss your net, so, um, yeah. And radio waves over to Brooks and Megan there. We were out in the same area that they were, not for a fancy Thanksgiving dinner. Uh, but we went out to La Conner and had some, um, ice cream cones at the snow booth out there. And just, uh, yeah, got a lot of stuff done. And now we're about ready to, um, to turn in for the evening. Um, but thank you so much for hosting, and thanks for getting us in. And I hope you both have a fantastic rest of your evening. KJ7RAB, back to you tonight. KJ7RAB, K7WFD. Well, thank you, Cammie. Thanks for stopping by and, uh, honoring us with your presence, even though you're a little worn out from your day. The La Conner area is so pretty. My wife and I were coming back from Vancouver Island on Wednesday in the evening, just driving through the Skagit Valley. That is just one of the most lovely pieces of our countryside here. I just, I've always enjoyed that, particularly on a, on a, on a summer evening with the, uh, golden sun coming through from the west. Just looks so pretty. Well, thank you all. A nice round. Um, let's see, uh, we're gonna go over, uh, well, I should say the usual standard. You're listening to the 9 p.m. PSRG SocialNet. My name is Bill, K7WFD, and I'm gonna pass control now back to my friend Rich, who's gonna give you the announcements of the week and, uh, run the next round. KI7RMU Jack here, had a really great day, very productive out in the yard fixing up things, chopping things up, recycling stuff and putting things in leaf bags. Oh man, I can't even remember what I did so far, but I am tired now. But hey, great to have you and Rich back, I tell you it's really great. We had a great Saturday evening 9 o'clock net a week ago, regardless of what Dean the co-host said. Real funny Dean, oh man. Anyway, no, he did a fantastic job his first co-hosting on the PSRG, did a great job, knocked out of the park. I had to get out of the net early because my wife came home and we had to go do some stuff and he finished out the net all by himself and did a fantastic job. So if you like Dean doing the net, we'll have him back another time and I really hope that he gets a chance to do that. Anyway, I'm going to hand it back to you Bill, you guys have a great night, great to hear everybody else and Tree, we're really excited to post the information on the conference on the Facebook discussion group page. So I'll do that very soon. All right Bill, take it easy and thank you very much. KI7RMU. Well Jack, thank you so much for stopping by and not thanking you much for reminding me of the yard work I should have done today. I just wanted to go take a walk. Actually I drove down to Alki to take a nice long walk along the water and there was a big event going on there, the Gay Pride thing for West Seattle, big event. And who was there but the West Seattle Amateur Radio Club was there having their, I guess they do an annual little thing on the waterfront. So I just wanted to stop by and talk to those nice people. A lot of fun, a lot of good people. Let's see, you're listening to 9 p.m. PSRG SocialNet. My name is Bill, K7WFD. We've got some time to talk to people out there. If you want to come back and come in and say hello, give me your call sign and your name right now."},{"callsign_confidence":0.99,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-30T21:21:57+00:00","id":28653,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":28652,"text":" Well, good evening to you, Bill and everyone out there on the net. Tammy here, KJ7RAB, and radio waves to Rich if he's listening. Robert confirmed that that is the case with that antenna. I've got some pictures of it. It was quite impressive. The house is on a gated country club, and I believe that antennas are kind of not allowed and so he painted it with camouflage paint. And then there were some antennas up in the trees there. He's got a drone that he used to put some of the wires up in the trees and also some other more primitive methods. We had an antenna launcher that was built out of PVC tubing and then a compound bow that was fashioned in a way to launch wires up into the trees. So that was interesting to see. And yeah, all of the gear, a lot of really nice radios, some boat anchors. And it's interesting to see how a person's shack is set up. It's nice to help someone, but it's also, in a way, I think it's better that we didn't know the person, but on the other hand, it would have been nice to know the person. Based on what his wife was saying, he sounds like quite the individual. He was a race car driver, he was a fighter pilot, very much into fast cars and radios and stereo gear and RC cars and planes. And he had a lot of hobbies, as it seems hams oftentimes do. Some similar hobbies that we've seen with other hams and some different hobbies, but a lot of hobbies nonetheless. And she's just a really, really lovely person. And so it's always nice to meet a new person. She's also a ham. And just to make that connection and to be able to help somebody out. And then the thing that I forgot to mention on the 9 a.m. net today was that we had some extra time, so we were able to stop off at that bakery in Polsbo and pick up some treats. We haven't eaten them yet, but I've heard lots of people talk about that bakery, and I've never really been through Polsbo before. It's super cute and the bakery was really impressive, and I can't wait to eat my bakery treats tomorrow. Thanks so much for hosting. Thanks for getting us in all the numbers. And thanks for everything that you do. KJ7RAB, back to net control. Well thank you, Cammie. That bakery, I've never been to that bakery. I've heard about it though. That's going to be good stuff. Yeah, that visit with this woman and all this equipment, I must have just made for a fascinating day. I love when you were talking about all his stealth, his camo antenna and his drone. And when you started talking about the PVC, I thought you were going to tell us he had a catapult or something, but a compound bow, that's pretty much the same thing. He wasn't going to let any, no fighter pilots were going to let any HOA slow him down that much. That's a great report, both of you. Thanks so much. Let's go over to Andrew, KF7LNX, who was mobile earlier when I was doing my testing. Are you back home, Andrew? I am not at home actually. I'm actually out in West Seattle just enjoying a nice evening actually. And it's been a long time since I've been out at West Seattle as well, so I figure, you know what, it's a nice night out there and I have the extended holiday weekend, well the three day weekend and then I've taken some extra time off from work as well. So I figure, you know what, let's go out to West Seattle and enjoy the city lights, you know, from across the water, you know, which I'm doing exactly just that here and yeah, it's a really nice evening. Actually pretty, actually pretty calm for West Seattle, not a lot of people out there about that I first thought, you know. But yeah, anyways, had a really good holiday weekend so far. Actually was able to make a couple of radio sales actually, so I'm actually parting ways with a couple of my Motorola's that I have here, so tried to shred them, excess inventory and make a couple bucks, you know, here and there here. So yeah, that's actually working out pretty good. So, but yeah, I'm also, for those that are, you know, UW fans and like to watch college football, that is currently ongoing right now over at the Husky Stadium. So far last report is we are winning 14 to 7 against Colorado State with less than 8 minutes left in the second quarter. So it looks like the last current drive was coming from UW actually, which they made a pretty large rushing yard for almost 30 yards actually. So yeah, anyways, if you're wanting to watch something and you like college football, definitely the place to watch. And that's on the Big Ten network here. So yeah, anyways, other than that, just been doing a couple of photography here and there, railroad photography that is, and I think I'm probably going to get some nighttime photography done here since I'm out here and I got my photo here with me in my car here. So I think I'm probably going to end up doing that after my check in here. So everyone have a great weekend and yeah, we will chat later. 73 to everyone, and a private LNX formal. Okay, F7 LNX, Andrew, thank you so much for that report. This is K7WFD. It sounds like you're just having a great evening out there. West Seattle is such a fun place. Gosh, I think last week I got over there three times because it was so nice to take a walk along Alki. I just love that area. And then you can take, I like taking the ferry from downtown over to Marination Station. That's a great area. Very good. Thank you so much, Andrew. Let's go over to the East Coast, find out what's happening there, what's the view from the East Coast. Bill's window is in Washington, oh well, in Arlington, Virginia. Bill, come ahead."},{"callsign_confidence":0.98,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-30T21:36:24+00:00","id":28661,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":28660,"text":" Well, good evening Bill and to the rest of Annette. We got involved in a discussion of Genesis, particularly the saga of Judah, Tamar, and company, which is the origin of the tribe of Judah. And it, I don't know, this all genealogical stuff in Genesis absolutely fascinates me. And so I invariably get kind of ensnared in it and that's why I'm late. Anyway, let's see, today I went outside and played for the birds. The only thing the birds seemed to respond to was the military medley, which I play almost at tempo, except for the darn coast guard hymn, which I'm still struggling to actually integrate with the rest of the pieces. But I have to get it done by, I think it's the third Sunday in September, because that's the harp group and I intend to play it there just to sort of freak them out. Yes, the minstrel boy to the war has gone, his father's sword, he is girded on, and his wild harp flung behind him. And it talks about the warrior bard. I think everybody needs to hear those songs on a harp just so we know what the warrior bard sounds like. And of course I'm working on the work in progress, which somebody titled the mind benders gambit and that actually might not be a bad title. So we'll see what happens there. It's got a theme of mind bending about it. Anyway, that's about all the news that is news. 73-3388, thanks to Bill for being on the net and thanks to all the rest of you for listening, especially to my cousin Rob, who's down further on the list. And I love you all. This is KA9EHD back to net. KA9EHD, K7WSB, thank you Ann, that was very interesting. The genealogy in Genesis, you say you're fascinated by, I've only skimmed through it, well I guess I actually read it once, but that's with all the begets after the begets after begets. Yeah, I didn't find it interesting. I'm glad you did. There must be a lot more in there that I missed. And I like your playing for the birds, the military medley for the birds. I was trying to think of a bird that would be appropriate who's kind of a military bird who'd want to listen to military music. I actually can't think of any military birds, so maybe someone else can complete that incomplete thought. Thank you Ann. Let's move over from, I think you're in Ballad aren't you, if I recall, let's move over to Bothell and talk to Frank W9LVC, come ahead. Good evening, this is W9LVC, Frank in Bothell, ex of Wisconsin and ex of Illinois also. Just sitting here going through all the junk that I have, trying to figure out which I want to get rid of or what I want to keep. And very hard to figure things that you want to get rid of. It always seems that you want to keep everything. Oh my goodness. Yeah, I've had a few years of collection, so it's a little hard to decide what you want to get rid of and what you want to keep. But what you want to keep usually wins. Anyway, it's rather nice outside. You need to be a little bit cool right now. But otherwise we had a wonderful day. We went traveling around and stopped at a few, excuse me, stopped at a few spots that we haven't seen in a while. Anyway, we should stop at a few more. Good to hear everybody. Everybody's got a wonderful sound and signal. Back to Matt, this is W9LVC, Frank in Bothell. Frank, thanks so much for that report. W9LVC, K7WFD. It is a nice evening, isn't it? Yeah, this time of year is lovely. It isn't too hot. Just a little bit of fall, coolness in the air, but it doesn't fall yet. And it's not raining. That's the nice part. Not raining. Well, let's go down to Jeff where bragging about not raining is more like, oh my God, when is it going to rain? I think. It's still droughty down there, isn't it, Jeff? AB6MB, come ahead."},{"callsign_confidence":0.98,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-30T21:07:03+00:00","id":28644,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":28643,"text":" Good evening, amateur radio operators of the planet Earth. And from the transcription it pulls, or tries to pull, call finds that it sees, and then it records basic usage data, like how often a call find is seen and where, and then it tries to do associative things like net activity and stuff like that. And the idea is that clubs or people or anyone who wants in-depth analytical data on either an activity they're running or something they are doing, whatever, they can have historical data that they can look back on really, really in-depth. And when I did it at first, it was just for me. I was kind of curious what ham radio was like on the data side of things. And as I was doing it, I decided I was going to make it free and open source because I wanted it to be as useful to everyone as possible. And Steve had ran across me on one of the Facebook posts I made very early on, and me and him have been talking back and forth about what the system could be and what the best direction to take it is and stuff like that. And so far, I think it's turned into a really good project. They can be really helpful. KK7 and QN, back to Nick. Well, Hunter, thank you for taking us through that project. That does sound really interesting and helpful. And I look forward, if I do sign up for this video, I look forward to your talk. There is so much going on on the, what would you call it, the intersection of computers and ham radio is just astounding. And I'm fascinated too. I don't have your skills, but I'm having fun watching. Well, this is the 9 p.m. PSRG Social Net. My name is Bill, K7WFD. And long time, what can I say, around this time of the evening, we traditionally go over some announcements of what's going on. There isn't too much going on as summer winds down next Saturday. That's September 6th, I think. As usual, the Radio Club of Tacoma hosts their open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. And as usual, next Saturday, as every Saturday, the Simplex Net is a good opportunity to test your equipment on one force. It just didn't seem like many people had the attitude or the mental of the next conversation at all. That's two weeks from today, the PSRG Educational Meeting. I think it's at 1.30. It isn't marked in here, but it usually is 1.30 on Zoom topic to be announced. And then we're into fall and nothing is leaping out at me as anything you absolutely have to hear. But if you want to learn everything on the list, it's posted on the PSRG Facebook discussion group under featured items. So, as I said, 9 p.m. Social Net. This is Bill, K7WFD. We're about to begin round three. I had a fabulous day. I saw Dean and John and Jennifer and a whole bunch of other people over at the Lake Washington Rain or Shine. And boy it was a beautiful day. It did get a tad warm though, but it sure was a fun time. So anyway, I did make a crazy antenna for this evening and it's old test equipment. So I've got two vacuum tube voltmeters here. And I put a description of each one on the discussion page and some pictures of the internals as well because I know some people like to see the technology of the time. Anyway, I checked in on it and so yeah, it's working. That's amazing. Thanks a ton for doing the net all by yourself and doing a great job. Katie, Sreo, we back to you. Well thank you very much Rich and I'm looking at your pictures and you've got your rig text right. Oh, just a tiny bit over SWRS3, but it is a very handsome, what is that, an electronic collage if I call it. Anybody interested just go to the PSOG discussion page under on the discussion site. Thank you Rich and that is a good reminder for me to go through the announcements for the evening. You're listening to the 9 p.m. PSOG social net. My name is Bill, K7WFD. And well the list is getting a little short because we've run through most of our summer events. So you'll find some listed on the featured items tab on the webpage. But just very briefly, I assume next Saturday like every Saturday the Radio Club of Tacoma will host their open house from 10 to 2. And next Saturday like every Saturday will be another Simplex net. You've got some interest in how your rig is doing, how your antenna is doing, how your new HP or base station is doing. You hop on to 146.56 at 8 p.m. next Saturday and you'll find a very nice group of people who are very happy to report to you how you sound. After that it's the Lieber day. We hit Korean in the fall. And the next event really on the list is the PSOG educational meeting that is Zoomed as usual. I don't have a topic yet, but they're always good. So put that in your email. It is September 13th. Oh, it doesn't say yet. So it's 1.30. I'm sure it's almost always at 1.30. So again, this is the PSOG 9 p.m. Social net. My name is Bill, K7WFD. We're heading off into round three. It was kind of rainy and it fell on top of him and twisted his ankle. So be careful there, but otherwise sounds super awesome. Yeah, I don't know. I think it's still got some time on it and you got a good idea there. Once it's totaled or just doesn't want to go anymore, just use it for parts. All right, good to hear from you Grossi. Have a great Monday. Next up is K7WFB. Bill, over to you. Well, thank you very much. Good afternoon to everybody on this Labor Day. I'm just sitting here getting ready to go over to my grandson's seventh birthday party, which happens to fall today also. So just going to see some family and a crazy seven-year-old kid. A lot of fun. The other reason I'm hopping on today is I want to get a little signal check. I'm experimenting again with my little one watt transceiver. That's the little gizmo that derives its power from an Android phone and uses the phone as the interface. So this little gizmo is just sort of RF basically. I got one watt going out into my Edfon dipole on Queen Anne. Looking at the photoscope, it's getting in very well everywhere except Buck. And I'm just a little curious about how it sounds, particularly the audio. They've just come out with a firmware release that presumably improves the audio. I may be a little hot right now. I'm going to back off the mic a little bit. I suspect this is probably a little better audio. So that's what I'm curious about is how I'm sounding on this little gizmo. And I'm watching it right now, and I'm just amazed. But anyhow, it's one of those mysteries. But I ended up ordering another tablet from T-MU. You can get a T-MU tablet for like $40 off there. And it's basically disposable. And I'm going to use that to replace the eight inch one. And just have a bigger screen to look at. I tried looking at the eight inch one, but it's just not getting it. And it's going to drive me nuts because I'll keep looking. And I want to fix it. Meanwhile, see what else is going on here. Just watching various shows today. And the Dodgers have been playing like a triple A team, and they're terrible right now. They went from being super good to being terrible. And I'm just flabbergasted by that, too. One of those mysteries of life. And they haven't won a game in a while. It was just incredible for them. They're that good of a team. I don't know. But dreams of going to the World Series again have been dashed. And meanwhile, I'm just looking at other stuff about writing a book to make some extra money and do my research on it. So with that, I'm sorry. Sorry, something else I wanted to mention. No, yeah. The squirrels. Meanwhile, I had up to three squirrels at a time on the patio today. And they're munching on nuts and peanuts and occasionally chasing each other. And I guess they want to run the energy off so they can eat more peanuts. I'm not sure. But I see Rocky and Princess and another one called Skitters. And they're the regulars here. So they do a pretty good job of cleaning out the peanuts and nuts. So that's pretty much my day for today. So let me turn it back to the net, AV6MB. AV6MB, K7WFD. Jeff, I have a couple of questions for you. First of all, what do you get from Teemu in a 10H tablet? Is that an Android tablet? Is it real flight-ish? What does it do? And what's the tariff situation and the customs situation? Have you been ordering from Teemu recently? What do you know about that? AV6MB, K7WFD. You may have a little trouble getting in there. But give it another try, Jeff. Go ahead."}]}
