I am, I wouldn't say I'm an accomplished cook. My wife and my kids may disagree. I wouldn't say I'm accomplished by any means because I'm not really cooked for anybody other than my family. But I do enjoy cooking. And I enjoy cooking good food. I don't do it very often these days. I used to do it a lot more. But I have burnt and charred my fair share of things. And so don't let it get you down. If your husband is anything like a lot of husbands, me included, hell, you don't miss a smile on his face anyhow. Because that's what we do. Funny story, just popped in my head. I haven't thought about this in a long, long time. Man, see my wife and I are hitting 23 years of marriage this December. So this had to be around year three, yes, sure so? I had already been to Iraq and back. I had just gotten out of the military. And we were in our first real on our own style house. And it was me and my wife. We had Emily and Benjamin, my oldest son. He's 20 now. And he was still in a Johnny Jumper, you know, those things that you can hang out. I don't know if they even use them today. But you can hang them up over a dual wave, put a baby in it, put on some music, and they can bounce until they pass out. He loved and still does to this day, loves Stevie Ray Vaughan. And that style of blues music. He used to bounce and bounce and bounce to Stevie Ray Vaughan. However, I digress. My wife, I worked in the oil field at the time. And I was working 12 hour days at the time. 12 hour days, going to work, being at work at six and getting off at six. That didn't include the drive time, which was usually about an hour each way. So by the time I got home, I was usually done for, you know, ready to eat, shower, go to bed. And she had made some biscuits one day. And they looked beautiful. We were having breakfast for dinner, if I remember correctly. They looked great. Smelt pretty good. I mean, I was quite impressed until I tried to bite one. It was hard as a rock. Like, you could have thrown it through the wall. She felt so bad. And I ate, I mean, I covered it in gravy and azed it anyhow. For a couple of reasons. One, I didn't want her to feel forced to what she did. I was hungry. And I've ate worse things than that. So, I can tell you to this day, my wife makes the most fluffiest biscuits I've ever had in my life. And she makes them from scratch. And they are delicious and fluffy and soft. And I hadn't thought about that in a very long time. So I'm glad you brought that up. Okay, well that brings us down to the bottom of the list once again. I want to take a little quick pause to give anybody else one chance to join on that before I move back to the top of the list. Can I be seen Brits here? Yeah. Just finished my cold brew coffee here, and I didn't have very much left. So I'll probably have to go find an alternate caffeine delivery mechanism. I have others, but coffee is usually the morning one. Anyway, yeah, I had a busy weekend. It was a lot of fun getting to go down to the Tour de Forest rally. It was a blast, like it usually is. It's great to see all the rally friends down there. It's a great excuse to get together, because some of those folks we don't get to see all that often because we all kind of live different places. But we all come together to support the rally, so it's a lot of fun. Aside from some of the craziness on the stages, with hunters trying to go on stage, and motorcycles and mushroom pickers causing the stage to be canceled because they're driving on the stage in front of race cars. No one got hurt, but yeah, it was definitely a little bit hectic there for a while. But I will proudly say that the radio equipment operated as intended. I did have the backup radio set up. Got the FTM 400 in the truck. I also have an FTM 400 in the go box, so that I've got a separate antenna that runs. Did not have to go to the backup radio. And so yeah, all of that equipment worked great as intended. So that's always good to get it out and make sure that it works the way it's supposed to. And then I had the dash cam going, which we stopped the dash cam a few months ago. But it was surprisingly helpful because it sits right next to the radio. And because I had the truck running, we were able to capture some audio of some of those abnormal events that occurred during the race. So we were able to go back and analyze what happened. And use it as a training opportunity to try to do better next time. So it was kind of a neat experience. And then a friend came over last night, brought over some dinner with his little ones. And we watched the Mariners win, which was a lot of fun there. Now listen, I'm going to make you a promise right here right now and everybody are the witnesses to this promise and that is if I happen to be the jackpot winner, I don't mean like maybe a once a year ten pound or something, but if I happen to be the jackpot winner of the lottery, you know what I'm going to do Declan? I'm going to look back all the logs which we do have saved, I'm going to talk up and count up just exactly how many times you've been up there with a gold medal and I'm going to have the same number of gold medals actually made up and be delivered obviously with some security attached and delivered to your front door and be just landed into the front garden there. So that's my promise but I have to win the jackpot of the lottery or something similar. But if I do, there's a promise, there we go. And Declan, I'm actually beginning to think you're talking about the ever forgetting things as well as time is going flying by. Declan, I don't know, maybe you're spending far too much time on the radio sir with all us old boys, maybe picking up all those kind of elder habits and all the rest. All we do is moan and groan about time passing by quickly and what's going on here, what's going on there and oh I had something interesting to share but I've gone and forgotten it, I'll tell you again tomorrow. And hey listen, you're picking up all these old man traits so Declan, do you think you might be suffering from too much kind of exposure to old ham radio operators? That's my final question back to Two Whiskey Zero Kilo Yankee Hotel. This is repeater station... Uh no, from Two Whiskey Zero Kilo Yankee Hotel. I think it's just a case of having other things going through my mind between school and you know, just life really. Maneuvering through life in like, I will say now I think later adolescence would be quite a little word to say. So yeah I don't think it's exposure to old folk that's gotten me forgetting things and talking about the time flying. I genuinely feel that way about the time because I mean I will say in terms of amateur radio I'm probably one of the, well obviously there are people I've spoken to who have a lot more radio experience than me but there are also a lot of ham radio operators that I've spoken to who have had less time on the radio than me even though I am in some cases much younger than them. So yeah I feel like at this point I am, I can be considered relatively to some a veteran so maybe in some regards I am the old folk. Oh well whatever the reason may be it happens and if I remember things I remember things if I don't I don't. So I guess with that being said now I'm finished with what I have to say I'm going to go ahead and pass it back to you once again Graham. And yeah, Sakatumi came from an old comedy skit show called Ron and Martin's Laugh-In that was on in the 60's and early 70's maybe, even to them. Yeah, I think so. Anyway, they coined a bunch of goofy phrases. And it was just, you'd be amazed who was actually on that show. You can actually look it up. And they still play it on YouTube. You can get some of it there. But at any rate, that's where that came from. It was always Sakatumi and somebody would get a bucket of water filling on them. So yeah, it was a lot of fun. And like I say, if you get a chance to go see some of them, some of the stars that were on that and some of the people that were on that show were pretty phenomenal including Richard Nixon, believe it or not. So yeah, that's where that all came from, and the Flying Fickle Finger Fate Award, and all that stuff. Very interesting, yes, and so on and so forth. So I won't beat that horse any further, but if you get a chance to go look some of those old shows up, it was fun. Ron and Martin's Laugh-In. So there you go.
