Welcome boys again and our best to Kathy, give her our love and get feeling better there girl. Oh, we're sitting out here in the porch again, the humidity isn't near as bad this morning as it has been. Probably going to be, probably 102 or 103 today I guess. So, it's still dry and the forest fires still going on. When I think of all that rain that poor Larry got, it's such a terrible time to die. Really, yeah, Joe was cringing when he heard Larry's story there. But all that worked so hopefully everything will turn out. But we just can't get any rain here. August is supposed to be a very stormy, windy, rainy, humid month. And where we get our moisture. But something's definitely happening and changing here. So this is the third summer in a row. Dry, dry, dry. So, just to hear that rain again and to smell the air, it would be a wonderful treat, it sure would. Anyway, we've got kind of a busy medical week this weekend and we're going to be going over to Scottsdale today for Joe's stem cell treatment on the back. And we'll pray that that's going to help. And what else is new? Oh, I forgot to tell Joe. I was trying to send these two pictures that I took this spring of the two UFOs that were overhead and a doggone thing. It wouldn't send and the pictures wouldn't come up so I've got to check on that. But anyway, I was just going to send that out to a few. And I wish I could have gotten a real good, clear picture because you can see a pattern underneath that circular round ship. But it just needs to be a lot more clear. But anyway, I just wanted to send that out. I'm a definite believer I've got some real stories. As I mentioned in the letter, it's the 50s and 60s. So I've seen them and I know people have definitely seen them. And more. Anyway, everybody take care. I'm going to hide a Rosie coming up and Bud. And Bud and Rosie were after me there, Robert. KC7 LRS. Over to Joey. Good morning there, gang. KC7 GHD going high tech here. We're still trying to. And Larry, oh my goodness. I've been there and done that. And my bigger concrete will be fine if you did cover it up and the covers didn't blow off. And they didn't drain it right next to the forms. Three inches. Holy mackerel. And the concrete will still set up great. So you won't have a problem there as long as it didn't wash away. So I think the covers will be fine. I sure want to know though when you finally pull the cover off. Oh boy. And Robert, you know that toilet seat cover is going to be going up and down a lot more now that you're buried there, buddy. And let's see what, oh, oh yeah, it's really good that our great president is cleaning up Washington, D.C. Within the next two weeks, all the homeless are going to be out of there. They're giving them a choice. Either take the help or giving you free help and everything, no matter what your problem is, will help you. If you refuse and don't want to go, then you're going to jail. So those are the two choices. Yeah, should be pretty clear. Anyway, it's going to be great. So we're out here on the porch again and trying to enjoy the day. It's not too bad. We've got a little band going. Of course, it's better inside the house, but it's just good to listen to the net out here. And the birds and watch the kitty cats and the birds roaming the fence and stuff like that. Anyway, back to neck control. KC-78C. Yeah, good on D.C., that's for sure. And we were, not to get you political, but we were watching some videos about the crime rate. It's higher than any third-world country, believe it or not. The murder rate is. And so that ought to clean up. Yeah, we were tentatively planning a trip to the Smithsonian to see a couple of old historical cars. All the news from D.C., it's curious. I can imagine what tourists think of that crumbling city. Anyway, the toilet seat. One of the compliments I got when I first got married was from my wife, who said she loves the fact that the toilet seat is down. Oh, you know what, I hate to say it, but I'm going to talk a second about my license renewal. Because you guys had such a hard time, it made me think, oh man, I don't want to go through it. But I got on the CORE, C-O-R-E-S. You can't renew your license, I guess, unless you go to the system. And I have my FRN, but obviously I had set up a password and all that stuff before, and I don't remember the password. And it won't let me change it. It's unbelievable. So I can't renew my license. I wonder if I could do it by mail. Anyway, that's what I've been going through. Anyway, it's good hearing you. I love birds. Really, really good hearing from both of you. And yeah, sorry it's hot and dry there. It's been just the opposite here. There hasn't been a day in the last month without any rain. So you love birds, take care. And we love having you. We really do. PE4YYL is up next, the Queen of Canada. Do we have fever? Can you take that bus first, please? I will do that. Fun. Good morning to you. K5EWH? I wonder if I got that right. K5EWH. Something like that. Good morning, bud. Good morning, Robert and everyone on the net. And thank you, Rosie. I was having difficulty getting in today. And Robert, the call sign is K5EWH. My initials have a vanity call sign. And I wasn't on the net yesterday because I had some medical stuff going on. I won't go into a lot of details, but Joyce and Joe know the details. But I had the stem cell treatment on my back yesterday afternoon. That was my second of them. I went to appointments yesterday. And that went well. And after an hour and a half, Jeannie and I left that office. It's not in the hospital. Our clinic is actually in the doctor's office with two doctors. And she got the second half of her stem cell treatment on her lower back. And I had my full stem cell treatment on my back. Recall that I had done that treatment on my feet about two months ago. It went incredibly well. I won't go into any more details. And then on the way home, we stopped at Costco to get gas and groceries and that kind of stuff. And the office where the treatment is done is in the Scottsdale area, which is, I'll just say roughly an hour northwest of here. And so a lot of driving. But everything went well. It was very hot on the way back. And we got the groceries and filled up my fuel tank at Costco on the way home. And then came home and she could get cheese crisps for dinner last night. Really nice. I tore it to you when she used to. And chili and some truffle. And then I washed a little bit of TV and then I fell asleep. Anyway, that's about it for today. Good to hear all my friends. And I'll serve the net back to you, Robert. Thank you for being a good net control. You know, the others are going back to our QQ. Have a super day, everybody. You have a super day as well. Thank you for joining us. I had no idea that you had a call sign. I don't know what the first name was, but it was. You can only guess. Oh, by the way, say hi to Chini. It's so nice to cook you dinner. That's wonderful. Oh, by the way, I didn't respond to Joe mentioning the stem cell treatments for his back. And I pray that they work. I really do. I really, really do. For both of you. And I think it's a miraculous procedure if you can get that working for you. Good luck with that. And we'll say a little prayer for both of you. Up next is the Queen of Canada, as aforementioned. GE4. Young, young lady. Twice as young. Good morning. Do me another favor, please, Robert. Take Chris. He just came back. And then take Woody and then after that, take me, please. All right, good."},{"callsign_confidence":0.94,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-14T08:01:51+00:00","id":16880,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":16879,"text":" K5 EWH, it's your turn, sir. Thank you, sir, and thank you, Rosie. I hope you're willing to change the orders. Nothing serious. This is Bud K5 EWH in Gold Canyon, Arizona. And believe it or not, right now it is not sunny. There's no wind, and it's either overcast or haze from a fire. I'm not sure what it is, but it's very unusual weather here in Gold Canyon right now. And, um, outside temperatures are getting 85.3 right now, so that's not too bad. Um, it was good to hear Joyce and Joe, and Joe and your stem cell treatment yesterday. Jeannie and I are saying prayers that everything goes well for you. I would strongly recommend that you not run a marathon next week. Those employees remember stem cells take time to work. Chug-bug, chug-bug, chug-bug. Um, we're hoping that it really helps you to the same degree that it's helping Jeannie and me. I recall that my stem cell on my feet went incredibly well. That was about two months ago. I've eliminated all pain. I still have the inflammation. And on Tuesday of this week I had my first stem cell treatment on my back. And actually last evening right before I went to bed I'm beginning to feel something tingle in my back. It just takes time. Sometimes weeks or even months. On the feet it was actually just a couple of weeks before I started making major improvements. So I hope that's what happens with you, Joe, and we're saying prayers. It's good to hear all of our friends here today. I'm going to turn the net over back to net control. And looking forward to hearing what Rosie has to say and finding one also. I'm assuming Barbara and Clarice are on their cruise with Qatar Airlines over in the Mediterranean now. I'll mention Barbara and whatever because she's the alternate, the others in the net control. Gina, thank you for doing what you're doing, everybody have a great day, K5E, WH, come back to net control. This is repeater station kilo kilo seven, November, Quebec, November. Alright there, thank you, I am alternate with Barbara, she asked me to double up and then you'll get Barbara back to back the next two weeks there. Sounds like you had a great time there at the radio club meeting, an interesting building that was specifically built for the pipe organs. Yeah, those things are amazing, I recently went to a church or an abbey down in Mount Angel and they had a big pipe organ in that building that they were playing. So yeah, very great instruments and I'm glad to hear that they're being taken care of and maintained and still in use in places. I also have a raspy voice, we ended our Portland Pickles baseball season by going to the championship game and one of their favorite fans I am, lots of yelling and baseball dust and all that, so my voice will probably cut in or out here for our hour but that's my reason, I'm sorry to hear that yours is being too close to other people that were not well and shared their germs with you, so maybe Pappy will have something to help fix that and keep it clean. Do you have a good rest of your day there bud and thanks for being with us bright and early this morning. And up next I do have Pappy and 7RHV from KD7GEZ internet. I don't know, I guess it's my check in time. We didn't hear anything Larry. The list came in and then that's it. We didn't hear you come back at all. So that's why I keyed up there but I'm guessing you called and I'm here. And I don't know if you got Cliff. Cliff came in after Jeanette and 0HC. I just heard a little blip of him so I don't know if you picked it up or not. But other than that, hang on a second here. Let me take a look. If you would put Dale V01UPZ on the list. He just sent me a text there. Alright Dale? Come on Larry. Do you want to say anything? I was out a good 45 miles on the bike today. First time since Saturday. And I was a mile an hour slower than I've been lately. And on a three hour ride that's three miles less. But I did it. As I say it's not as fast as you go or how far you go. It's as long as you go. So there you go. There I go. It was a beautiful morning. A little warm out there. I think it was about 86 when I left the house. A little before 3 AM. So it was a little warm out there. And I smelled a little bit of smoke but the air was... I didn't see any particulate matter. So that's what I'm more worried about for even that. Anyway that's it for here. You got a big list so I'll send it back to you. It's KJ7Z. Thank you Larry. Okay Joe. Well I'm glad you got some writing in anyway. And hey if you're not having fun or whatever then it's time to quit I guess. Anyway glad you're chalking up the miles there like you used to and getting back into the rhythm of things. You have a great day and we'll talk to you later. That sounds a little bit too much for writing out there. Anyway, Art is up next there. Gene Arthur. One partner in crime over there. And hey KJ Art go ahead. Good morning Larry and everybody else on the World Wide Friendship. This is November 8 Tango, tell Julie and Art here in sunny Springfield isle. I've got 75 degrees Fahrenheit and I'm going to get up almost 90 today. Let's see, I don't know Larry. Between you and Dale you guys got me confused. I had you down last week to do the Nat and Dale this week. I think you two need to get on the same page or something here. Oh terrible situation that if you guys are driving me nuts. I can't keep up with none of this. But anyhow I'll just say 73 to everybody. Y'all take care, stay warm, stay dry, stay cool no matter where you're at in the world. And always wake down the mic. Wake down the mic before you give it back to Nat Control. So with that I will wake down the mic Larry. It's coming your way from November 8 Tango. Look out for Julie. Well okay Art. I've got my calendar made out here in advance. I think I've got it several months in advance there. Anyway I've got the 7th and the 21st for this month. And let me see the 4th and the 18th of September. So there you go. Anyway if you need help just give me a buzz. Alright you take care. Hey you got 75 and I got 75.9 so it's almost 76 degrees here. So yep it's going up to 90 supposedly. And as soon as the nets over I've got to get out and do some more pressure washing in my driveway. I got part of it done yesterday and going to do some more today. It gets a little hot out there doing that pressure washing and hard on the back. Anyway everybody have a great day Art and we'll talk to you later. V86 GRZ Bill. Go ahead Bill. This is repeater station 6. This is R. This is R. Hey Larry and everybody on the net. Currently we've got 15 degrees. Geez that's 3 straight days. That's 15 in the morning. And only going up to 19 that's a 58, 66 Fahrenheit cloudy and showers. Yeah same last couple of days too. We didn't get any rain yesterday though. Thank God. So I had my audition last night and they're going to have one more basis to come in next Wednesday. The name of the band is called Damsel. And the girl that contacted me, we were the ones that contacted but the other members of the band were guys. Older gentlemen like me too so there we go. And I did well on 4 of the 5 songs and the one song that I really enjoyed playing by myself was Heartbreaker by Pat Banatar. And I had my moments in it but when it came to the tougher parts that's when I froze. And that's one of my stories of me trying to play with bands. Especially if I'm auditioning for them. I get a little bit nervous about it. I would rather play stuff that I'm more comfortable with and have people joining me. And the guitarists. I'm not trying to follow them. We had the drummer, he came late. He worked until 8 o'clock. He didn't get in until 830ish. It was supposed to be 9 o'clock. Anyway, I'd like to know, here's a question for everybody. Why are there lawmakers or people of authority in the United States blaming us for the lack of tourism from Canadians because of the wildfire smoke that is going down from Manitoba, Saskatchewan right now? You cannot change wind directions, sirs. So, I mean why are they making a big fuss over this? Mr. Trump is the whole, well I'm sorry, he's the one imposing these tariffs and we're trying to make deals with him. But he's making deals with everybody else. I know it's all political but the point is you cannot expect wind directions to change whenever you want them to. So that's my answer and I hope you all agree with me. Stand by for a second. VA6GR is returning. I just want to tie this up and go back to Larry to see the list. KTHRER VA6GR is here. Bill here in Edmonton, Alberta. Yeah, they don't have a clue what they are going and doing anyway, Bill. Yeah, you got that right, Dick. Happy? Hey, back to you Larry. Kenny at V866. Okay, Bill. Yeah, I don't know. Well, some people want to do a little of everything that is impossible. So, yeah, I don't know. It's a mess. Let's put it that way. I better not get into that. Anyway, you take care, Bill, and we'll talk to you later. Thanks a lot for your check in this morning. Always good to hear from you. Okay, we got the kisser up next. Boy, oh boy. KI5 SSR. KTHRER. Go ahead, Jeanette. KI5 SSR. Jeanette here. Great find. That last station had me rolling in. And we certainly cannot change wind. I think we're all aware of that. I don't think that's some kind of hidden secret. And I just had a terrible storm come through here and had to spend $700 to clean up the mess. Because we lost several huge trees. So, I think we're all familiar with that. Not to mention all the groundings that we had in the Guadalupe here in Texas. I don't think that winds and stuff like that are any hidden thing. We didn't even see it coming here. And all my cameras sounded like a, sounded like a tornado. And it was what they think what they call straight line winds. So, a lot of people lost their trees, a lot of trees. But I have like 40 trees on my property. And the camera was on the tree that went down along with the light. So, it's quite entertaining to watch. Ha ha. Anyway, great to be on here. You have quite the list going on. I do want to tell people about the road chart, which is going to be on the right in Texas this evening at 830 Eastern. And then I have the half-hour tomorrow evening at 7 Eastern. And of course the new litter box launch on Saturday at 7 Eastern and the AOC on Sunday. 1-1-cats.org. Check it out. And great to see you running the net. Hope everybody has a great day. And watch the weather. Today we're going to be very, very hot. So, you always have to watch the weather. That's kind of the way it is. Terrified this is going back to you. Thank you. Okay, and that's, well, it sounds like you've got a bunch of trees there. Ha ha. Yeah, and you hate to lose any trees. That would help keep the air clean here. I know around here we've had hundreds and hundreds of trees have to be taken down over the last, I don't know how many years I've lived here. But so many of our trees were planted back when houses were built. And they're about the last, you know, end of their life and they're huge. My neighbor just had one he called about getting it taken down and sitting right beside my driveway. If it comes down it'll hit up many of my vehicles in his house. So, I think he said it was like $3,500. I said, oh my gosh, mine are bigger than his. So, I'd hate to see what mine would cost. But anyway, hope everything turns out for the best there for you. And we'll talk to you later. Okay, I've got Cliff up next, I think. M0HC, Cliff, go ahead. Well, good morning everybody. M0HC, we've got sunshine. Let's see, let's look and see how, if I can see the mountains pretty good. There's a little bit of smoke and stuff like that, not too bad. Gonna be close to 100 degrees today. One of my ex-pastors is in town. He wanted to have lunch and stuff, so it'll be kind of cool and stuff. Anyway, he just had a friend and everything else and stuff, so it was pretty good. Let's see, last night we had a pretty good jam. We just usually have good fun and stuff. Today we had four people. Friends of ours, we lost in a motorcycle accident up there in Sturgis just a day or so ago. And then my buddy Norris, forever and stuff, he went down with his Harley and he had some, he's gonna have to figure out his shoulder and a couple things and stuff like that. So it's been one of those things and then my, so, I mean it's not funny I guess, but anyway. So that's it, I'm just kind of waking up and doing my thing. So I appreciate you everybody and have a great day and enjoy your heat back tonight. You said you had a cleanup site about there, about your friends that are going, getting killed there or died or whatever in Sturgis, did it? It seemed like it always happens to the people that you've had a, you know, that motorcycle thing is dangerous, that's for sure. Whether it's you or whether it's somebody else that runs into you or whatever. I don't know, I always like to have one but I'll stay away from them. I think it's a little bit safer that way. But anyway, talk to you later, you have a great day and we'll go down here and pick up Pappy next. I'm gonna, for anybody that's just tuned in, this is the World Wide Friendship net for August 7th. And I'm Larry G-D-8 RER net control and if you want to check in, put your name on the list here in a little bit. So with that Pappy, you're up in 7 RHV, go ahead. Hi, no I'm not up yet but at least the voice is up. I just had to start to move here around the room and you know, getting things together, the brain functioning somewhat. You know, and I started to figure out where the adjustment is on my sundial. You know, I've been looking and I have never seen one so, I don't know, maybe I gotta move its position or something somewhere and get more sun on it. It doesn't seem to work like everybody else's. But anyway, you know how it is with sundials, they're weird. Other than that, I got the rent paid yesterday, nice long drive all the way to the left and the right back. So I guess I'm gonna have to figure out a Venmo thing or something to alleviate the fuel costs. Because that's not cheap going all the way up there and back. But anyway, gas is a lot cheaper at Costco, that's for sure, than it is down here. So, that's it. Go see my cardiologist tomorrow and make sure everything's closer and that everything's a-chicken so like it's supposed to. So, there you go. At that, I found the micro-band wipe so I don't need the spray so I'm purely gonna wipe that mic down and de-germ it. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee408 There we go. Now, you're 99.9% germ free and no over-spray. How do you like that? It's 7 on HV. Back to that. Okay, Pimmy, what am I gonna do with that other 1%? That's probably the one I'm gonna get. No, I hope not, but anyway, that gas deal, I don't know how yours is out there, I'm sure it's probably about the same way, but ours goes up in town one day, it's one thing, and the next day you look at it, oh my gosh, it's been 50 cents higher than it was yesterday. What happened? I don't know, it's crazy. And they said, oh, Bank is supposed to put out more barrels, but they're gonna change the gas prices. This is crazy. So, I don't know. They got too good of control on that stuff to keep us broke all the time, I think. So, Pappy, you have a great day and we'll talk to you later. I got Bud up next, K5 EWH. Go ahead, Bud. What's going on in your world today? Good morning, everyone. This is Bud, K5 EWH in Gulf Canyon, Arizona. I ended up sleeping in this morning and didn't get into this net until, in fact, I heard Joe talking, looking for the net control. I really don't know what all happened, but anyway, I don't know if there's a question of the day, etc. Just had a very full day yesterday and no need to repeat any of that information. It's not interesting anyway, but a good day. And today I get my monthly car wash. Remember, I mentioned in the past, now that I have a mobility scooter with a lift on the rear of the vehicle, I cannot go through a car wash. So I have a company that will come over to the house here. I do this once a month because of money. And I get my monthly car wash here at home. You'll be arriving in about 20 or 25 minutes and spend about 12 hours doing the outside and the inside. It's just like going to a car wash except it's all done here at home. And the other difference is it's considerably more expensive because we only do it once a month. With that, I'm driving back to net control, wishing everybody a great day. It was good to hear Jeanette, K5 SSR, and what's going on in your area there in Grapevine. And looking forward to hearing all of my friends. Joyce and Joe, the lovebirds, and the other lovebirds, Rosie and Glenn, etc., etc. K5 EWH back to net control. We got a place that you probably know about on the Oregon coast, kind of like that. And, uh, you know, that is just a lot of fun to go to a place or an intermuseum like that and check out all the planes. You know, they got some World War II fighters and stuff. You probably got all that stuff too. Yeah, a lot of fun. All right, well, Glenn, you have an awesome weekend, my friend. And, uh, thank you for being here. And, uh, now let's go over here and see what's up with K5E and K5BH. The mic is yours. Uh, thank you, uh, everybody and Nick Control for doing a great job today. Um, today is a day of celebration for me. It's my 81st birthday today. And Jeannie's going to take me over to, uh, Applebee's for dinner this evening. And we're going to celebrate Applebee's. It was one of my wife's favorite restaurants when we were stateside. Recall that I lived in Panama for over 21 years. And, um, so that's where we're going. It was my choice and that's what I decided. So that's what we're going to do this evening. And, um, otherwise we did break some records for heat this week. Uh, that's not a surprise but not good news. And, uh, with that I'm wishing everybody a wonderful day. Good to hear every one of my friends here. And, uh, I'll try to be on the net in the morning. Um, and, uh, so turning the net back to neck control. This is by K5EWH. 10-73 radiate is appropriate. And everybody have a great day today back to neck control. Hey, very, very cool. Yeah, that was, that was just Applebee's myself. And I, not before last I believe it was. Yeah. All right, well, hey, you have a, have a good, uh, good, uh, day and a good weekend, my friends. And, uh, yeah, I'll see why she liked it. Uh, let's see, up next we got Barbara, KI7PR. The mic is yours. Oh, good morning, KI7PK, L-Net Control and everybody else on the World Wide Friendship net. It is literally and figuratively my Friday. I am off today. I took it off instead of Monday so I think you're ready for our flying out in, uh, in tomorrow morning. So just doing a little light final stuff and some emails. In fact, uh, you may be waking up, I've been doing errands since seven this morning running around. And, uh, uh, I'm wide awake. Uh, but anyway, just taking care of a few things. Some of them fun and light today. So grandma and I are, are gearing up. I can tell she's getting excited. She was asking me all kinds of questions yesterday about this and that. So I know her head's getting into it. Uh, anyway, I'm trying to check in from, uh, from Europe, anywhere we are, uh, during this, uh, this trip. And, uh, just trying to make it into the net at some point. But, uh, in the meantime, happy birthday to Bud. Uh, hope you have a good one. And, uh, seven three to all, this is KI7PR sending it back to Net Control. Hey, you know, I'm kind of excited for you myself. That just sounds very cool. You and your grandma have a great time, Barbara. Oh, yeah. Hope you can check in. That would be very cool if you could see if you managed to check in from over there. Um, timing sometimes I know is an issue, though, when you're on a trip like that. Seriously, with all those cool tours. Somebody takes a seat with you. All right, um, I'm going to go check in with you. All right, um, KI7P is back. But anyway, I wanted to put a smile on your face there and I'm pretty sure it did there. I think it came in real long before laughing over that one. I like that. I tried checking in but I live in double city, Arizona. I wasn't on the net yesterday because I had an appointment with the VA in the wound care, actually at the VA hospital itself with two doctors, one on each side of me for almost two hours. The end result was good news. Not a procedure or surgery or anything like that, just checking in on my wounds from long ago. Got good news there and then by the time I left it was early afternoon and on the way home, which is more than an hour driving, I stopped at a Taco Bell or a burrito so I'd have something in my tummy. Came on home and helped Jeannie a little bit start getting ready for dinner. Then I went over and visited with a friend who lost her significant other earlier this year. We played table games and then Jeannie texted that dinner was ready so I motored back to the house and had a great steak dinner and salad. Really good stuff, good food. Jeannie's a good cook. The problem is she doesn't cook enough. Not in quantity but frequently enough because she prefers smoothies and that kind of stuff. Which I understand a thousand, that's what I do for breakfast as well. Anyway, it was a long busy day and finally at about 7.45 I couldn't keep my eyes open and I was in bed and sound asleep. With that, again, thank you for getting me in. I'm looking forward to hearing my friends here. Joyce and Joe are aware of this. I'll be visiting with them Saturday, this coming Saturday over at their house. Which also is more than an hour drive for me to get over to that Glendale area. But I'm looking forward to it. Jeannie won't be able to go with me because she has other things going on Saturday. And I am turning the net now back to you, Robert. Wishing everybody a wonderful day, 73 and 88. So hang in there guys, and thanks for the relay. Alright, but anyway, thanks so much for your check-in, Joe, and thanks for sharing what you're up to, and the history you have there. It's interesting. I can see why you would want to work on Labor Day, sure. Get two days off elsewhere, so good trade. Anyway, thanks so much for your check-in, and thanks for giving me the heads up about what's going on with 3039, in case that ends up being a problem during the net. Well, alright, we're going to leave Las Vegas, we're going to head over to Irvine, California, and pick up Glenn, K6. KKR, good morning to you, Glenn. Good morning Barbara, everybody else on the net here this morning. Shaping up like a beautiful day, I think it will maybe not be as hot as yesterday, it was crazy hot and crazy humid, but we got sunshine, should be a beautiful day here. Yeah, yesterday was the big hanger day, that's when we got all of the student teams out. Learned a couple things, a number of us had to huddle together here because we learned that we are now up to 90 engineering students that are participating in the build of this airplane, and so a number of things, I mean just like a classroom teacher, we have to make sure that everybody is engaged, has something to do, and stays interested, and that they don't become bored, and all those kinds of things, which has really not been a problem so far, they're so engaged, it's absolutely incredible, but we're making great, great progress, so we're at the point where things are going to accelerate quite a bit, because we've laid out all the parts, we've identified everything, and so we know exactly where to go with everything, and now starting to think about getting some training on how to put the fabric on, it's quite an art to do that, so we have a couple of people we want to bring in to teach us how to put that skin on, but it was hot in those hangers, there's no air conditioning, we try to open up a number of the hanger doors to let the breeze blow through, yesterday it didn't help much at all, I mean we were all just sweltering in the heat there, so by the time I got home, took a shower and went to sleep, you know it just drained every ounce of energy out of me, but it was great, enjoyed it very much, so I hope this all is not a broken record, it's just kind of the big deal in my life right now. So with that, Glennon Irvine, KA6, TKR, back to the net."},{"callsign_confidence":0.98,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-24T07:14:50+00:00","id":23335,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":23334,"text":" VL1 UKZ is short time. But err, that sounds good for your person who drives you to worship services on Sunday that she's getting situated, good deal. And yeah, I appreciate the cooler weather too. I think all over Oregon we're all kind of breathing a sigh of relief. It's just so much nicer when it's in the 80s or 70s even than when it's way up there. Hey, good deal. Thanks so much for your check in Gail and thanks for being there as always. Really appreciate it. And you have a good rest of your day. That brings us to the end of this round folks and this is the worldwide friendship net. Excuse me, this is the worldwide friendship net if you're just tuning in. We're here every single day. He's a snowbird. He and his wife April. Pat and April I met him once last winter but I didn't remember him and he was on his bicycle starting his ride in the dark. So he turned because he went high and turned around and came back and we chatted for a few minutes. He and his wife have now relocated back here to Mount Brook Village in the school canyon as of a couple of days ago and now are no longer snowbirds. They are living here full time. She is a teacher and disconnected from the school system where they used to be. I think it was Idaho. So anyway the reason I'm even going into this is they are no longer snowbirds. They are becoming permanent residents here in Arizona. It raised again my interest in getting a bicycle or for me an adult trike for better exercise. The electric motor scooter for me is an exercise for me. So I'm going to have a conversation with Pat and talk about it. My sister and friends are advising me against getting a trike but I need to do something for more exercise.
