"text": " So anyway, I got an appointment with a neurologist and she has referred me. She said, yeah, your symptoms do kind of suggest maybe that's the problem. So she referred me to a neuro-ophthalmologist, which there's only two in Houston, so I don't see one until the 22nd of January. And then I've got to see a vascular specialist and have an MRI and something called an MRV, which is basically a contrast MRI and unfortunately a lumbar puncture to measure the cerebral spinal fluid pressure. So that's what I've been up to, not just a whole lot of fun, like my mother-in-law said, loose, growing old as hell, KC5R jail. "text": " I remember years ago, well this is going back into the 70s, maybe even into the 80s. Down in New York City, everybody get on the bus down in New York City. No, not on the bus, on the train, yeah, yeah. Was it a bus? It was a train, excuse me. It was actually a train from Grand Central Station, New York City. That train would be the party train. Everybody's going up to Montreal. That train would stop all of New York City, Darien Bridgeport, all the way up to New Haven, all the way up, you know, and it didn't go all the way up to Montreal. And boy, that, I, really, I wonder what kind of a duty, I mean, customs, Canadian customs, with all the drunks they had on that. But they had a whole train full of drug addicts and everything, all the way up to Montreal. And that was like the party train, they called it. It was the party train, and that was good for the economy. It boosted Montreal. And the tourists, man, that train was booked, totally loaded on a Friday night, going all the way up to Quebec. But they stopped it. And they couldn't understand it, because the train was always loaded with people, and they said it wasn't making money for them, and they stopped it. You know, it's funny. They only stopped the good destinations, and they canceled that train. I don't know if you ever heard of it."

"text": " 88 right back, way back, KG7MWB. Yeah, I heard Dave talking about guitars. I like guitars. I buy a lotto ticket every so often hoping I'll win and I can get a Smallman or a DeTorres guitar. Yeah, may not happen. Anyway, just got off the phone with the VA. They'll have their flu shots ready on the 29th, but they said nothing updated about COVID shots yet, which I aim to get whenever they're ready. And see, yesterday I went to Pete's Eggnest and I had some Swedish pancakes. I've been doing that about once every three weeks. And yeah, mahjong. I got wiped out yesterday. I have no idea how she does it, but five minutes into the game, she mahjongs. I just don't get it. Anyway, music night on Saturday night was good. One guy brought his accordion, played a little Cajun music, so that was kind of fun. And I like Cajun music, probably from your neck of the woods, I think. Anyway, that's all I have, Rebecca. Back to you, KG7FWB."

"text": " I've been hiking tonight so we went over to Wilburton Peak and went out to Longview Lookout over on Wilburton Peak Trail, kind of on the south side of Cougar Mountain if you will. Had a little word, haven't been on that trail for a while so we're like, are we going on the right trail a couple times? But yeah, we got where we wanted to go and got back to the car, that was all good. Had a couple snacks up there. I've also been working on a MacBook Pro 17 inch but I've been trying to figure out how to get Linux on it. I had Linux on another one at one point but this one I'm having trouble with so my friend that went hiking with me is going to see if he can figure out why I'm having trouble getting it to run on that one. Hopefully he'll figure it out and he'll be able to relate to me what I might have been doing wrong. We'll figure it out eventually. Is it winter yet? I'm waiting for winter. KW2SKI."
