"text": "Well, good morning, Rebecca, good morning to the net. Happy Thanksgiving to all. Yeah, just looking at the 46 degrees up here, not much wind at all, just pretty calm. So kind of a standard, kind of a standard gray day up here. Just listening to the net. I just heard about Elaine and I'm sorry to hear that. She's definitely, definitely one Remember on the net let's see working on some code here this morning. I know that's my regular job Why are you doing it on a holiday ride? Well, you know, that's just a that's just a thing I do So I'm writing some code doing some Azure functions Stuff because it's fun when it works anyway I've been playing with an Ubuntu server that I've got set up, and I shuttled around my network to different hard drives for backups and things like that, so it's all entertaining. Let's see, what else? Not really doing much today for Thanksgiving. I think we have a turkey breast, but I wanted to talk about the pumpkin. So every year my mother took the jack-o-lanterns that the three boys carved up for Halloween and we made pies. So first of all, do not throw away your pumpkin. The pumpkin is good food. This is a squash. It is really tasty. It is good food. So don't throw them away. Cut them up into pieces, put them, steam them, and serve it just like a squash. really good. So yeah, so we would make pumpkin pies and we would freeze the pies and then take the pies around to the neighbors and my mom put the put a little paper recipe with how to cook it on the top of the pie so we would run around Thanksgiving right before Thanksgiving and give the give the pies out to our friends and neighbors so they could have a nice homemade pumpkin pie. So that is on the agenda. We didn't get a pumpkin this year, but I froze the pumpkin from last year. So we're going to have pumpkin pie with real pumpkin. You know, I was 17 years old before I found out that pumpkin came in a can at the grocery store. Anyway, that's it from here. Happy Thanksgiving all. Gobble, Gobble, K9 J-E-B."

"text": " Very good. Well, thank you. Thank you so much, Doug. That was a great, great point. You can see so many technical articles out there and reviews and everything else. There's so much that's flooding and all the rest. But of course, here on the International Radio Network, we love just to get to know our members. Like I say, I do kind of nosy and sometimes use the various maps and Google and everything else and see what neighborhood they're in and what they're up to and what lake they're fishing in and everything else. It's my kind of world travel. I'm not a great traveler, but I do do some Google traveling, that's for sure. But it's just so interesting. I just love all the members, all the people I speak to in the radio. I say nosy, but I'm just interested in where they come from, what they're up to, what's happening, what's their family's days, what's going on, where do you go fishing, where's your best restaurant and all the rest. It's just wonderful. This thing is wonderful. Anyway, thank you so much, Doug. You're absolutely right. So yeah, articles, please, personal articles. We love them to bits, so please do send them to us at the IRNhamradio at gmail.com. Just go to IRN.radio. That's all the W's, .IRN.radio. Click a newsletter, see what's happened before, and you'll find all the details and send in your own articles. That'd be great. Anyway, that wasn't rehearsed whatsoever. Thank you so much, Doug. You take care. And let's go to Doug number two. So we've just spoken to young Doug. I'm not too sure. Maybe that was wrong. The new Doug. That is all the way from South Carolina. Kewo Bravo 6, Romeo, Romeo X-ray. And Doug, I hope I'm trying to maybe slow down. You know, I've been warned many years ago about my Scottish accent. Slow down so we can understand what you're saying. And honestly, that was me being slow. So anyway, let's just go and speak to yourself. How are you, sir? And thank you so much for joining the night. And happy Friday to Kewo Bravo 6, Romeo, Romeo X-ray. This is GM0UUB. I'm here in Alawa, central Scotland. Doug, welcome. The mic is yours."

"text": " Very good and nothing heard. Well folks you might tell I've still got that cough I had last week. It went away for a couple of days but has come back with a little bit of a resurgence so if I take an extra pep or a pause you'll know exactly what it is. Anyway this is GM0UUB your net control continuing and of course this net does meet every Friday at 4pm Eastern Time this 9pm UK time presently 20,000 UTC. And there are of course many ways and many modes that you can use to access this net and for details of the International Radio Network's multi-mode system please check out our website at allthew.irn.radio. We have our permanent connection with the Extended Freedom Network and you can find out more by visiting allthew.extendedfreedom.network. And we have our permanent connection with ZMR the Zello Mode Radio Group as well. Find out more by visiting allthew.zmr.us or zmr.us. At this point I also want to say thanks to everybody who has connected up various nodes, gateways, repeaters and everything else in the network. Thank you, thank you so much. You know who you are. Far too many to mention but I do appreciate so much and so do all the people that check into the net every Friday. Thanks for making the connections. We really do appreciate that. I'll take a wee pause."

"text": " Okay, nothing heard. This is GM0UUB. I'm here, your neck control from Alois, Central Scotland with a bit of a head cold. So if I feel a cough or a sneeze coming on, I will drop the mic and come straight back. Do not worry. Anyway, no masks are required. I do not believe that any virus can be brought up over an RS. We should be all okay. So anyway, this net does meet every Friday at 4 p.m. Eastern Time, 9 p.m. UK Time, presently 200 UTC. And there are, of course, many ways and many modes that you can use to access this net. And for details of the International Radio Network's multi-mode system, please check out our website on the interweb at allthew.irn.radio. We are, of course, permanently connected to the Extended Freedom Network. And you can also find more about them on the interweb by visiting allthew.extendedfreedom.network. And we also have a permanent connection to our multi-mode system to our Zello Mode Radio partners there. Find out more by going to allthew.zmr.us or zmr.us. They both work equally well. Please do remember to take a little pause, a little bit of social distancing, folks. Yes, a good four or five seconds in between transmissions, just to allow all these various links and nodes and repeaters and gateways and networks just to take a little breather and to reset. Also, please remember that three-minute timeout. Now, we love to hear all your news and all your views. But if you think you're getting anywhere close to three minutes, please take a little pep or a pause or a break. Again, they all work equally well. And then pick it back up again. What else? You might lose some of your transmissions. I'll take a wee break. November, Quebec, November. All-Star Node 6222. Located in Shelton, Washington. GMZO, UUV Net Control continuing. I also want to say a big, big huge thank you to all these various people who do connect up all their networks, nodes, gateways, repeaters and everything else. Folks, you are absolutely amazing. I love you to bits. And without you doing that, we just wouldn't have the same kind of collective that we do have here on a Friday. So thanks, thanks so much. You know who you are. Far too many to list. And what else? What else? We are using NetLogger. So if you want to follow along on NetLogger, just open up your NetLogger app and select IRNKB1 Multimode Net. And as if by magic, right before your own eyes, you'll see on your own very screen there, you'll see all the little check-ins being populated. And you can also make use of that wonderful, almost instant message blue chat box thingy there as well. I keep an eye on that. And so does Dave and others. So do feel free to say hi there. And indeed, any difficulties checking in, let us know there and we'll get you on the list. I'll take another wee bit."
