And actually me and my wife, we were today cruising around, and we found this fantastic beach, and we went to swim, and actually I was floating on a lake like an hour or so, and it was excellent, it felt really great. That's a great story you had there about growing up in Pasadena. Yeah, I go to Florida a lot, and that's where I go for my seafood. The best seafood on the planet and the best weather. Tampa and Fort Lauderdale, mostly. But thank you, Woody. That was a great story. And just to give you a little background on us, we're in Great Bonn, Texas, known for wine and wineries, heart of the Texas wine industry, home to the Texas Wine and Great Grillers Association. There's wineries in this little town. It's in the very middle of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, and it's quite a little tourist attraction. People flock in here for the Main Street attraction there, with lots of shopping, wine tasting rooms, art galleries, and it's really close access to the Fort Worth stockyards, close access to Dallas as well. And it's known as the Christmas capital of Texas. Every December, people flock here from all over the country to look at the outstanding Christmas decorations there on the Main Street district, and I have never been about a half a mile away. I'm ashamed to say, but we are going to check it out sometime. So thank you, Woody. Golf Mike Zero Uniform Uniform Bravo. Graham, great to have you here. I've got to, before you go there Graham, I've got to ask you a question. As you said, Odin was growing so fast, I wonder what, what kind of age do they actually slow down and stop growing? While that was on, I was doing a little bit of research in the background here. I checked the Guinness Book of Records for the tallest Labrador on record but they don't have one. What I did find out was that according to the breed standards, male Labradors are typically 22 to 24 inches tall at the shoulder, but females slightly shorter. One source mentioned a Labrador that was called Stuck in Dance, who was said to be standard 26 inches tall at the shoulder and 5.3 feet long. But that was only claimed by their breeder but it was never verified as true. So I'm wondering, do you think Odin might end up in the Guinness Book of Records when he's a bit older? And do they actually slow down, what age do they actually slow down, that Labrador's there, Graham? From GWA-0."},{"callsign_confidence":1.0,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-07T13:05:30+00:00","id":15039,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":15038,"text":" Golf makes you uniform uniform Bravo, come here. Alright, Grandma, I've got you. Anybody else, go ahead. Last call for the new net. November 7, Bravo, Golf, Juliet, Rod with an I.O. Holy smokes, Rod! Hey, great to hear ya! Alright, thank you for your I.O. I hope you have a good afternoon. We'll talk to you soon, I hope. Alright, let's get back to John. John, I bet Brooks is either there or has probably just recently left and he was able to get the guitar book from KG7FWB to you. Is that true? How are you doing, John? Go ahead. W7J7. Well, hello, Jack. That is in fact true. I was leaving my house to go to Guitar Lessons and as I was approaching the end of my driveway, Brooks was right there trying to turn it into my driveway. So I backed up and we sat there and talked for a few minutes and I got the book from him and he went on his way and I'm on my way to Guitar Lessons. So it worked out pretty good. So yes, I have the book. I haven't had really much of a chance to look at any of it yet, but I do have the book. So thank you, Bill. And I will take a gander at it later after I'm done with lessons today. So anyway, that's pretty much all I got, Jack. I'm going to try to make it down to Green Lake on Sunday, but we will see how that goes. W7J7. Alright, John. Hey, no problem. And I think, let's see, I have a little boy today. There's so many people at the first one on April 2nd, 2022 at our Golden Jubilee 50th anniversary at BSRG. Were you at the original Ice Cream Social? I don't remember. That's affirmative, I was. Who was it? Me and Lloyd were over there sitting on the grass watching the girls play violin. So yeah, it was a pretty nice one. W7J7. Alright, I thought I had a vague memory about all the people there. There was so many people. I didn't even know how many people were there. But yeah, and I'll have to go review the pictures from that event. What a great time that was. Well, we're really looking forward to a great day. The weather's supposed to be fantastic. There's a lot of updates they've done to Green Lake, still basically the same, but there are some really great improvements they've made. And the whole neighborhood has really been built up. A lot of the favorite places are still there. Although Little Red Hen, the dance club there and bar looks like it might be in some trouble. I think some developers want to move in or something. I don't know what the exact story is, but the neighborhood's pretty upset about it. So I guess hopefully it'll be there still. Anyway, alright John, well you have a great afternoon and enjoy your guitar. Nice to hear you. Alright, let's go to GM0UUB. He is in Scotland. Graham, how are you? Good evening. Well hi there, Jack, everybody else on the night. This is GM0UUB. Graham Healy, Aloua, Central Scotland. And we're absolutely fine over here. The bonkers boy there, Odin, he's a reasonably good day. So I think he's learning some manners, perhaps. Anyway, he was just watching the television there. There's a football game on, of course, football across the United States Soccer. And yeah, I think he likes seeing all the various colors of sharks running around in this wee white ball going back and forth. And there's surround sound on the TV, so he always looks left and right and wonders what's going on. So that's all good fun. We had him at a big toy store today, let him choose a toy. And from now on, that's it, he's now learned. Every time he goes to this toy store, he's going to think it's a toy store. And he gets to choose a new toy. But I try to tell him it won't be every time there, Jack, but I don't know if he heard me or not. Hi, hi. Anyway, apart from that, not really too much to report. We're going to head across to 5th tomorrow and visit Helen's parents. I haven't seen them for a wee while, so we'll take a dog with courses with us. We're actually going to look after it for the next month when we go on a wedding. One of my, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, messages there is getting married, so, uh, looking forward to that. Anyway, Jack, I've talked enough. Thank you, sir. Hope you're well from GM0, UGB. Alright, doing fantastic. We're really looking forward to just a great weekend. We've got a big board meeting going on for the group and we've got the Rainier Shine Net over at the big park here in Seattle, Green Lake. And, uh, boy, it's going to be a lot of fun. Big ice cream social. Well, now you're going to get, uh, Odin inside, get him signed up for the classes, right? So that he behaves himself in the future and doesn't gnaw on your kneecaps. You know, those classes are so popular for dogs and there's some really excellent trainers out there to lead them. Uh, so, uh, what about that? Are you going to get him signed up? I don't know when that starts, you know, for, you know, what age the dog is best at going to those classes. But, uh, if you thought about that yet, I'm sure you have. Yeah, I think as far as puppy classes are concerned, most of the classes around link you to be starting your pup before it reaches 20 weeks. And these 14 weeks, I think just today actually turned 14 weeks. So, um, so yeah, we've had a look, there's quite a few around and as you see there's some very good trainers and we know some from, um, various, uh, charity work we've done for dog and rescue in the past. Um, so, but they're, they're a wee bit of a distance away. There's a local one, I don't know really too much about it. It does seem to be a good reputation. But it's a kind of early Saturday morning start for the puppy class. And by the time I finish my Friday night and eight, I don't think I've all whacked out on a Saturday morning. So it'll be needless crumpy, not Odin. But, anyway, I will definitely get something if you've done the rest for sure. I think he would definitely benefit from that. But, uh, lots of socializing and out there meeting things. We met a few new dogs again today in the shop and a big seen bird. Man will tell you his eyes. Okay, they've got all kind of white then, hi hi. But, uh, I'd like to drive back to you from GM zero, UUB. Oh, I'm sure, sure his eyes almost popped out of his head when he saw the St. Bernard. Oh, gosh, that's a big dog. Even the pups are huge. Oh, boy. Anyway, all right, we'll grab you. Have a great day, Seattle. Give us some scritches for us and we'll talk to you later. All right. This is Jack. Yes, I've already looked at this one p.m. Right on the money here. Seattle time. Anybody else for the last call on the new net call? And Craig, are you back with us from GM0, UUB?"},{"callsign_confidence":0.94,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-22T13:39:07+00:00","id":21779,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":21778,"text":" GM0, UUB, MM7, H2S, KY4NB and Robbie Ray here from Land of Elvis and Barbecues. Well, hi there, Graham and everybody good to hear all out there on the net. And we're okay. It's just hot and humid in Elvis and Barbecue land, so no need for the charcoals there on the grill, hi, hi. And the Elvis Death Week is out of here. We did see Elvis. I'll let Robbie Ray tell you about the Elvis you saw in a minute here, Graham, and everybody. But, yeah, we're good, watching the birds outside, got off work a little early, had my 30-year anniversary at work, and they fed us. So that was nice. That was nice in a room full of people. So I was thankful for that, Graham. And for the young Declan there, he's going to have to stay on his toes because there's always somebody younger and faster coming up the ranks, just like in the wild west. So, anyway, we love the young Declan. He's sounding more and more like Dave all the time. Let me take a pimp here, Graham, and I'll turn it back over to you for a minute, and then we can get Ms. Robbie Ray in here. Back to you, Graham and Queen Helen, KY4NB, note to Ben A."},{"callsign_confidence":0.99,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-22T14:35:57+00:00","id":21815,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":21814,"text":" Yeah, GM0UUB from GW8S. L, yes, I'm alive. Oh, I think I am anyway, and I'm willing. And I've got the log. I'll sort that out now, and I'll put Keith and Shirley at the top of the list because they might be going to actually have a barbecue. I don't know. But yep, all's good. And I'm ready to go, Graham, from GW8S. Please do remember to give a good four or five seconds pause in between transmissions, a little bit of social distancing if you like, just to allow all the various links and connections to take a little breather and to reset. Also please remember that wonderful three minute time out where we love to hear all your news and all your views. But if you think you're getting anywhere close to three minutes, please take a pep or a pause or a break. I've tried them all, they all work equally well and then pick it back up again and continue or else you might lose some of your transmission. We are of course using NetLogger folks if you want to follow along in NetLogger, just to go to your NetLogger app there and select the netIRN KB1 multi-mode net. And as if by magic all the check-ins will get populated on your screen right before your very own eyes and you can also make use of a wonderful almost instant message blue chat box thingy there as well. And myself and Dave, we do keep an eye on that. So if you're having difficulty checking in on our app or wherever you might be coming from, just let us know in the blue chat box there and we'll get you all squared away. No problem. I'll just take another wee pep."},{"callsign_confidence":0.98,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-08-29T13:34:28+00:00","id":27478,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":27477,"text":" Ah gee, you've been in control continuing and I'm just swinging around in my swivel chair here and my guitar is in the case. Yes it is. It's only about six or seven feet away from me right now. And actually you're totally right when it's out of the case and on the stand. Even just for a couple of minutes here and there and then a couple of minutes turns into a couple of hours and everything else. You know how it goes. But if you have to actually bring out the case and bring it out of the case, it's just a step. Sometimes a step too far. But of course, and it's because of Pumpy Oden there, I've had to put because it's quite a good guitar I've got there I have to say. And he chokes chews on anything whatsoever. He jumps on things and man I'll tell you if it makes a noise he's even more excited. So I can just imagine how Oden would be kind of investigating my wooden guitar, my electro acoustic guitar there. And yeah, oh these strings make a noise and the wood is so, so good for teething. So yes, it's in the case there Doc. So I haven't been playing it too much of late. So anyway, thank you for anything else.
