We encourage you to press that button and tell us a little about yourselves, your radio projects, or just about anything else, as long as it's suitable for a family-friendly audience. Please limit your reports to three minutes so that we can get as many stations in as possible. This is also when the repeater times up. When this finishes your report, please end with your call sign. I'll be compiling this to stations that would like to check in, If you'd like to check in only, just let me know that you'll be in and out, also called an I-O. Again, this is Rebecca, K-A-7-I, let's get this net started, call sign-in name, R-S, and internet. Kilo, Alpha-9, Echo Hotel, Victor, K-A-9-E-H-V-N. and"

We went up to Linwood Live on load there, and we just got back here and having some lunch, and then we'll see what else is going on But yeah, those scooters are a lot of fun and they do have small wheels so you want to watch your speed. I probably go 7 to 10 miles an hour on mine and I go on a smooth surface like on the trail that goes to the woods. That's black pavement, it's smooth. On the sidewalks it goes really slow or I'll even walk it because you just don't want to hit a bump. You hit a little bump with those little tiny wheels, you're going to go flying and you her real bad. Anyway, I'll pass it back to you Jack, good to hear you. Folks, what we do is we send a picture. It is a classic concentration puzzle from the airwaves. That's the picture with little pictograms, plus signs, arrowheads, that kind of thing leads you to think of a word or phrase. We ask that when you figure out what the word or phrase is that you email us for answers to puzzle at sundaynightnet.org. Puzzle at sundaynightnet.org. "text": "Yeah, Victor Alpha 3, Victor Whiskey X-ray returning. Yeah, Scott, that's actually a great point. They do. So supercellular thunderstorms, which are the parent thunderstorms to the tornadoes, so their mesocyclones spin the opposite direction. So up in the northern hemisphere, low pressure systems, whether they're hurricanes, extra tropical cyclones, nor'easters, all that kind of stuff, they all spin counterclockwise, right? And that's because the Coriolis effect basically wants to, if you're moving with the motion of the Earth and you're in the northern hemisphere, everything wants to pull left. If you're in the southern hemisphere, everything wants to pull right. So if you're at the equator, that's where the split occurs. Northern hemisphere, you have a left kick. Southern hemisphere, a right kick. And that gives you your rotation direction. So that's basically what's going on. So in the southern hemisphere, yes, they spin the opposite direction and the storms are actually sort of flipped backwards. So for us in the northern hemisphere, the hook echo on a supercell thunderstorm and that sort of flying eagle, that v-shape, that'll all be flipped, that it'll be a mirrored image of itself going backwards. So that's what's interesting with the southern hemisphere. And it's unique because because interestingly enough in the upper levels of the atmosphere you still have westerlies in both hemispheres, it's just the lower level winds that become reversed. So for tornadoes in the southern hemispheres, so typically you're looking for a southeast flow in the northern hemisphere, in the southern hemisphere it's actually the opposite. So you're actually getting a southwest flow, that's your tornadic flow. So it's interesting because it flips everything backwards or part of me you're looking at a southeast flow in the northern hemisphere and in the southern hemisphere you're you're looking at either a southwest or a northwest flow to give you tornadoes so it's very interesting"

"text": " All right, yeah, I hear you, Tree. Yeah, watches can be a fun rabbit hole to go down, and I started looking at watches that were far out of what it might be likely. But hey, there's some really cool, the Seiko watches, Citizen make some really beautiful watches there that are automatic watches. You can get a quartz watch too, even a swatch. There's some of the Timex watches, but yeah, Citizen and Seiko are a nice entry into an automatic watch. Some pretty cool style and lots of opportunity for something that \u2013 and of course it tells the time, so it's useful and yeah, that's something to take a look at. Let us know how it goes. If you've never seen, there's a great website \u2013 I know it's on a computer \u2013 but a great website that shows the inner workings of a mechanical watch. It's one of the coolest websites I've ever seen. I can't remember the URL right now, but it's some guy with a Polish name, so yeah, you should check it out. Anyway, let us know how all that goes. You have a great night. All right, let's go next to Jesse, KK7 VCL. Jesse, please come ahead. KK7 VCL. Jesse, good evening. A warm good evening from the countryside up here in Monroe, where fall is in full effect. Beautiful fall orange and yellow colors out here along the river. I live kind of up the valley from the Skykomish River out here. It's a pretty place this time of year. But I have to say, K7 MOX inspired me to check in after a bunch of QRN on the HF bands. I thought, well, what's going on over here? And I saw \u2013 I don't check in here often, but I heard some wonderful check-ins and I thought, okay, I've got to say something. I've been in New York the last week and just listening to folks check in just makes me happy to be home. There's just something so authentic about us Seattleites, and I know there's folks here from outside the area, but I don't know. There's something special about us Washingtonians, I guess. I don't know what it is. I'm going to take a bite. So anyhow, today was a day of connecting \u2013 today was a human connection day, so I suppose this is the cherry on top. But I started the day meeting a whole bunch of new people and it could have been a hostile situation. I'll be honest, I was appalled by some conversations I heard this morning and I just decided to be tolerant and listen. And I thought, you know what? It doesn't matter what I say or who I disagree with. I need to start with a relationship and then we can take it from there. So that's what I decided to do and I'm looking forward to building those relationships and engaging in some deep conversations with some folks later without getting into details or politics too deeply. I think that's a good place to put it. And then I had a really fun afternoon also being a connector and a relationship builder. There were two gals that I felt needed to know each other and I helped facilitate a happy hour and the three of us just had a really awesome time in downtown Snohomish over a glass of wine tonight. So anyhow, a really authentic human day. So with that, wishing everyone the best, 7-3. And back to you, Paul. Net control from KK7 VCL."

I just watched a guy go off the edge of the road into the bushes. It was just kind of interesting. I don't know how he did that. But anyway, the squirrels have been doing their usual antiques and eating the nuts I put out for them. Rocky still comes to my study class door and looks in at me and keeps looking in at me. I stand on his hind legs, try to get up and give him some peanuts. So he's taught me terrain pretty well. I was on the Papa System before I came here, and they're just asking people what they've done, their hobbies and that sort of thing, outside of amateur radio. Pretty interesting, a wide range."
