"text": "Okay, C7FMW. Oh, dear. I'm so sorry to hear about your back. I'm glad you got seen. But, yeah, I know they try to take conservative approaches first, physical therapy in a shot, rather than just going to surgery. I hope that helps some. I'm glad the paint pills are helping for now. But obviously, it's not where you need to be. And hopefully you can avoid surgery. But if you need it, I hope that you can get it and that it will help. But in the meantime, it's good to hear that Cressy is singing. I couldn't quite hear Cressy, but I'm glad that he responded to my voice. So, very cool. Hey, thank you so much for coming in and checking in and for putting a ribbon on the net. It is about time to be closing the net this morning. So, Graham and I can get ready and go to the coast."

"text": "Good morning. Good morning. I hope everybody well this morning. It is Friday, December 19th and it's 6.30 here in Texas, meaning it's time for the Friday edition of the Cowabunga Net. It's hosted on the Do Drop In Network and it is filled with a bunch of people talking about current events and about other things. But we typically talk a lot about current events and that includes everything like politics or Controversial topics yet, we do so with respect to one another Listening to hear what their thoughts are rather than listening to respond You will hear people respond, but when they do it's not directed at the person but rather at the idea And that seems to help this group group, get along fairly well. Before we get started, I want to drop a plug in for Santa Roch. Santa Roch is on Christmas Eve. I'm sure V01 UKG will be on in a little while and I'll get him to give it a much bigger spill, but I would be amiss if I didn't mention Santa Roch. You can find out more information by going to the DoDropIn.info website. If If you're interested, we also have a Facebook group and a Discord server. If you're interested in any of those things and have trouble finding them, please get a hold of our system administrator, V.O. Ward, UKG. With all that business out of the way, let's get this morning started. If you'd like to be on the first round of the cowabunga net, come now with your call awesome. KJ5 IRQ is standing back."

"text": "This is KC2PKG and I tend to disagree, there are government programs that people love. Most people love Medicare, they really do, you know it's not perfect, it's not fantastic but they love it and it takes care of them and that's why I say you know I would go for Medicare for all and Obamacare you know took forever, don't forget that the Clinton's tried to put something together for medical insurance and stuff like that and they never got anything got anywhere but Obamacare happened and I remember people were thrilled a lot of people around here were absolutely thrilled they could finally get health insurance because when they can't they just wait till they get sick and then they go to the emergency room and you end up paying for that anyway so if you want them to pay for their own insurance then you know you gotta have an alternative that they can go for and so I'm for that completely on the cooking channel I don't know if I want the the recipe of the day picked out by an AI I would like to know what you're cooking with pictures and maybe a video or something like that I'd like to know what Daryl is cooking um you know so if it's in the family I'd like people to be able to let's find out Dee, Dee has done some amazing things on her barbecue I think she breaks cakes on it or used to anyway I'd like to hear about that and see that in you know real time. You know there was a project and Josh you don't have to do anything if you don't want to that Gabby was working on for a while and that was to take the list and make it available on the website and we noodled over this for a long time trying to figure out how to where's the interface how can we do this and if you would like to take a look at that problem and tell them to tell me what you think I'd be very appreciative because that's a natural if you want to see the list you just jump on the website there it is and you can see it live and in real time that's the wrinkle that's the hard one but you can see and even go back through it you know day after day after day and and develop statistics I don't know if that'd be useful but that's one thing that we were thinking of when we were putting that together. Did I tell you guys that Gabby last thing she told me was that she's thinking about moving to France. So we'll see we'll see what happens with that. Anyway back to you Gerald do on you Casey this is Casey to PKG"

"text": " Okay, C7FMW. Well, about those AI meti glasses, very interesting. And it stands to reason. There's a lot of wearable technology that's picking up on these sorts of tasks, whether it's describing something in front of you on command. And I would add that one kind of glasses I'm considering getting are ones that work with an app on your phone and they caption what the person is, whoever is in front of you or whoever is speaking around you, it captions what they're saying. I doubt the accuracy level is that high yet, but someday it could improve. And for people like myself, I mean, I'm wearing a headphone directly on my ears, so it's direct feed, but for those of, you know, when I go out into the world and I'm in maybe a little slightly noisy place, it can be very challenging to hear people. So it, these are tools that can assist for, you know, whether sight, hearing, various things. So I think they're going to be adopted more and more. And they won't be seen as special tools either, I don't think. I think they'll be seen as just part of the array of wearables. So it could remove any stigma that might otherwise be associated with it, like hearing aids still having a stigma. But these new wearables, well, they're just wearables, right? So, and I'm so glad you get to see your furry buddy today. That is such good news. And wearing the special shirt for it, awesome. Thank you for sharing that with us. That's a moment of joy. Anyway, you have a great day. And now we're going to move on to a recheck from Mr. Terry, AE7MR. Come on in."

"text": " KC7YFEVA6GRZ, good morning Dale and everybody on the net. Currently we've got 10 degrees Celsius for a high of 27. That's 50 and 81 in Fahrenheit and sunny. And what's that? Oh, okay. KB2RQQ, hey yeah, I was just putting in the text box there for Larry, KDA, RER. I ditched using the space bar. You can go into your tools and let's see here. Go down to preferences and click on, wait a minute, no that's not it. Hang on. Is it in view? Set up, it was in set up. No, it wasn't in set up, oh gee. Anyway, if you find it in there you can just click off of the space bar and I just used the icon with my cursor, my mouse cursor and used that icon, the lightning icon up in the very top left corner of the menu. So, yeah, it's a lot more convenient. The space bar is very finicky and sometimes it doesn't work so that's why I ditched it. So, I just click on that little lightning icon and I find it's a lot, sometimes it's a lot quicker than the, when you're trying to key up, right? And get in on the net. Anyway, I was just telling one of my local amateur radio acquaintances on the D16A computer, there's a lot of speakers that last for $20 and it's a pretty nice one. It's from Rave Technologies. It puts out 150 watts, but it's only 8 or 9 inch, so now I have to adjust my cabinet, which is about an inch too big. So, whether I should shorten it all or maybe add a couple little pieces for mounting on it. I think that might be the easiest way to go, but it is still pretty deep and I've got it pretty well built. Key up."
