"text": "QST, QST, QST, good morning, and welcome to the Worldwide Friendship Net for December 20th, 2025. This net starts at 7 a.m. Pacific time, 10 a.m. for the Eastern people, and 1,500 UTC at this time. My name is Dave, the call sign is Alpha, Bravo 7, Delta Whiskey, and I'm located in Aloha, Oregon. Before we begin the net, I'd like to thank the following people for the use of their repeaters and reflectors. That would be Michael Wolfus, 8MW for the use of the 9617 Michigan Reflector, and the 96170 Michigan Conference Server. I'd also like to thank Darrell Warford, BO1UKZ, for linking in the DoDropIn and the DoDropIn2, and nodes so we can all get together here all across the continent and we'd also like to thank all the node owners and all of you for being here because without you there wouldn't be a net but there has been for about 17 years straight now. Emergencies take top priority in this net and every other net on amateur radio. If you have an emergency that we can help with please break the net with a double break. We'll stop the net and help you any way we can and then return. If you're mobile or short time, please let me know this when you check in and I'll put you at the top of the list so you don't have to drive around with a microphone in your hand. This is a popular net and to make it fair for all users, check-ins lasting more than four minutes including mic drops may be muted to allow other people to get in. This net is available to all amateur radio operators worldwide. Anybody with a license can get into this net and we encourage you to do so. Question of the week is, we are five days away from Christmas guys and what are your plans for this week coming up? Are you going to be traveling to relatives or somebody, some other place? Are you going to be flying, driving, what? I'd like to hear, see what you're doing. Before we do that, we're going to take the first round and the first round is going to be mobile and short time only. Mobile and short time only stations. Please come now with your call signs slowly, in phonetics, and twice."

"text": " KJ5, I are to returning. Oh, let's see. First off, the silver head thing. That's weird. He only told me I can think to that right at the moment. Uh, yeah. That's weird. Alright, um. Next, let's talk about Tom Brady and his dog. I did post a link that I read into Discord. And for those who are wondering, it cost about $50,000 to clone your pet. Got me wondering if I would clone Willow if I was able to. And uh, I think that would be to be determined. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love my dog to death. But she's only about two years old. I mean, who knows what she changes into in another four, five, or eight years, you know? So, uh, this could be determined. $50,000. Makes me wonder if any of y'all would do it. Um, okay. And then about the big question. Are we in an emergency? A state of emergency? I would say yes. Yes. And let me clarify why I say yes before I move on. I think it's generally accepted across all great land. Whether you're on one side or the other, things are to an extreme. And I think, to me, that's the biggest state of emergency. We have extremism on both sides of the political aisle. And because of that, there's very little slim movement in the gray area. As you probably can tell, no matter which side of the aisle you are on, if you move towards the center, you seem to get ostracized. I can give you examples on both sides. Marjorie Taylor Greene, you know, Ralphie Kagan Alphay, she's pretty dang far, far away. She went on The View and did her thing on The View, and she was ostracized by the rat. I'm really not sure why, but she was. Now let's look at the shutdown thing from last night. We had some Democratic senators who, for whatever reason, are now more inclined to opening the government back up. Great. I think all your citizens can be happy in that. But now they're being ostracized by their own party. So I think the biggest state of emergency is the fact that you can't move from the extremism back towards the center without being attacked. I'm going to take a real quick break. Now, that's just my opinion about the state of emergency, and there's a lot of other things anybody can and probably will say about different states of emergencies. But I would like to just mention that I also think that states of emergencies, unless it's obvious, like being attacked or civil war or, you know, true states of emergencies, ones that are completely obvious, with the exception of those, I think most people's interpretations of states of emergencies are going to be based upon their personal world view. What a Republican may think is a state of emergency, a Democrat may not. And vice versa. So I know that's kind of long-winded, but I have thought about that actually quite a bit since you posted it yesterday. And I wanted to make sure I got my thoughts pretty clear. My state of emergency opinion is that this country has been overtaken on both sides of the political aisle by extremism, and I think that's what the true state of emergency is. All right, there's my \u2013 man, that was almost four and a half minutes. All right, back to you, KJ5, live live view of the KC2PKG."

Is the homeland of Mork, or Mork and Mindy, is it a real place? And if so, can I go there instead? You know honestly, if they would land here and on the off chance that we as humans don't try to destroy them, and lose miserably because we have to all admit that if they have the technology to get here, they probably have the technology to destroy us. I would probably just ask them, can you enlighten us about space? I mean, to be honest, space has always been a fascination of mine. Star Trek, Star Wars is cool, but for some weird reason Star Trek always seemed more feasible. And so I'm a Star Trek fanatic, and so I would be very interested in just the general exploration and knowledge. Kind of like the Vulcans did with the humans, hopefully on a much more expedited scale. Because the Vulcans, you know, that kind of helped the humans back for all those years until Jonathan Archer decided to say, Hey, F you, we're going to date the Klingon back to his home, what do you need help? Have you watched Star Trek? I don't understand that. Alright, I hope that was kind of humorous. Sending it back, KJ5-ILQ."

Yeah, right toward the end of the Kawabunga net this morning, we had some kind of issue where we weren't able to connect. Several of us got booted from Do Drop In and were unable to connect to Do Drop In or the Michigan conference temporarily for some reason. Even though there were stations connected already, other stations were not able to connect to you guys or us. Even though my phone was connected to Do Drop In when we lost everybody at the end there, and I was able to link to Michigan, which is weird. So I don't know what was happening exactly, but I won't hold it. I just wanted to jump in and say hello if we're having partial technical issues. I'm trying to work it out, but I'm not sure exactly what's going on. With that, I'll just pass it back to you, Dave. 73 and all the best from V01, UKZ."

When Larry comes on, he will give me the detailed weather report, temperature, humidity, all that good stuff. All I can look out there and say is that it must be cloudy because there's no sunshine direct. It's daylight, but that's it. Anyway, I just wanted to make sure to check in today. Boy, that first round went really quick. I couldn't edge myself in there anyway. So, anyway, that's pretty much it for me. I've got to take my truck in for a mandatory oil change.
