"text": " All right, good answer. This is KC2PKG. That was GM5CAR, which is a cool call site. So it's a good choice on your part. And since it depends why they're going in there, what are they going to do? And the stated reason right now is that it's to protect federal employees, ICE people, and customs, customs enforcement when they're raided to get immigrants out. That's what the stated reason is, but there is some lip service to fighting crime as well. So that's what we're being told it's all about. Just so you know. Okay. Well, I wouldn't say that was a resounding no, but it did lean towards the, I don't think that's a good idea side of things. All right, let's turn to another question here. And Amazon announced it was cutting 14,000 jobs. And this is not in warehouses, this is in their corporate offices. And it begs the question, as, and these are going to be replaced by AI. In other words, they can automate systems and get rid of them. And they have bigger plans to automate and robotize all of their warehouses. Now looking a little wider, with a wider lens than just Amazon, other companies are going to start doing this too. If they can be effective, if they can replace their workforce, especially their lower level workforce with AI, we're going to have a lot of people who aren't working. They're going to lose their jobs. I mean, locally, this will be very difficult for places where this is happening, Amazon corporate offices. They think they can go from 14,000 to 30,000 in the next six months. So it's a lot of people out of work. What should we do about that? That's what the question is. If people are getting replaced by AI, what can we do? What should we do about it? We'll go to Peter first. VE1WIN. Peter, people are going to get replaced by AI. What should we do about that? What could we do about that? This is Casey 2, PKG. Over to you, VE1WIN."

"text": " All right, it's a very quiet morning out there on the waves. Darryl has sent me a link to that news conference, so I'm dying to watch that. We are getting into the Christmas season. It's time to start figuring out what you're going to give people. People are important to you, but you guys are important to me. I'd like to know what was the best gift you ever got, Christmas or otherwise? What was the one gift that you really remember that you think, hmm, that was a good one? That was a good one. I'll give you an example. All my life, I wanted one of those vests that are made of wool. The kind that cut from the back of a sheet, the leather and wool vest. I've always wanted one. My wife heard that. I said it in her presence, and that was a mistake. She bought me one. One of the best gifts I've ever received. It is wonderful, especially in a place where the temperature goes up and down like a yo-yo, like me. It's pretty cool. I have a sheepskin vest, which I think is probably my favorite piece of clothing forever. What is a gift that you got? Peter, what's your favorite gift of all time, or just a really good one? This is KC2PKG. We're going to go over to BE1WIN. My drone. I gifted myself that drone, Gray. That's the most awesome gift I ever got myself. So back to you, Gray, and I'm going to check out, man. I've got to get some work done. Thanks for that. Have a great day. Bye-bye."

"text": " Good morning, good morning. Yeah we had a busy weekend we ended up tackling our shed and garage again actually. We're getting ready to tear down my shed it seemed better days and so we had to move a lot of stuff out of there and create some space for it in the garage. But anyhow yeah we spent most of the weekend doing that going through stuff putting stuff out on the curb for people to take over the trash men to get you know just sorting through stuff so we spent the whole weekend basically doing that. Shut down well you know I guess we'll find out. I mean to be completely honest I don't know who it looks good for bad for and different for. I mean the fact that matter is it is what it is. Whether it looks good or looks bad doesn't really matter it is what it is. So yeah we'll know in the future whether it's good for Trump or bad for Trump. KJ5 ILQ back to"

Oh, there's a big truck going down the street now with a police symbol on the side of it. And it says... Holy crap, it says the, um... what do you call it? Uh... criminal investigation thing or whatever you call it. The ones that do those that investigate murders and stuff. That's crazy. Okay, then. No, I make a bean dip, Gray. Back to you."

"text": " All right, I got Peter VE1WIN Bentley, VE3FBX, he's just listening, he's at work, BA3KKY Kevin of Toronto, KM4LBF, that's D, good morning to you D. M9O, a few, Bill who sounds like he's out on the road again, and KB0MAI George, who's probably out on the road as well. So I'm going to find out, I'm going to ask you what you did over the weekend. What we did was have some, my old college roommates up here with his current partner, and we hung out with them most of the time. They're down in the boathouse, they like to sleep late, which is okay with me, so I'm not dealing with guests first thing in the morning. I get to do the net in the quiet of my own home. Saturday was sort of a down day for everybody, and we sent them off on their own to entertain themselves. And then yesterday we went out to lunch in Canada, and I was not arrested at the border, which I was worried about. And then we went to the supermarket, and then we came home and went out to dinner. So that was pretty exciting. So today is the town day, and we will ... Hold on a second."

I've actually put a couple on Flickr just so I have a picture of the storm. Nothing like you, man. I try. I don't have it, whatever it is. At least I don't think I do. I am having fun though, capturing some things and seeing it from a different perspective. I'll be honest with you, without this and that and without you, I would have never done that. Keep doing your thing, man. I don't think you're mediocre. I think you're above mediocre. You may not be expert level, but you can't even care better than mediocre. All right. That's going to take us up to the bottom of that list. That gives us a total of eight active call signs this morning so far. That's great. I'm going to move back to the top and talk to Peter, B-E-1-W-I-N. Peter, the question of the day as I've said a couple of times is what's your plan for Labor Day? Go ahead and let us know if you don't mind."
