Can I be to see Bruce here in Newcastle? Happy Sunday evening, everyone. Oh Let's see weekend is coming to an end and We are I've got one more day of work left before vacation, so it's kind of sitting here in the office slash shack and Contemplating what I need to get done tomorrow so that I can feel comfortable going into the vacation next week and not be worried or not be bothered by my phone, by emails or phone calls. But anyway, let's see, we're going down to Oklahoma to visit mom for a few days and my sister's going to be down there and her husband and our little niece who turns one the day after Christmas so that will be exciting so we get to have her first birthday. We were over at Megan's parents house this evening because we won't get to see them on Christmas so we did some Christmas stuff over there and I got a new carry on bag. I've never really had a luggage roll or carry on bag, I've always just kind of had enough bags. So I have a new bag for the trip so that's exciting, I was just getting my bag all ready to go and film out, so I got my contact info on there, you know, all the important stuff just in case. But anyway, yeah, so we gave the dogs their Christmas things this morning because they're going to be over with N7WAA for the week, so that would be fun. And yeah, so just kind of getting everything all settled and put together and ready to go. I'm looking forward to getting to see family because with everyone living all over the country you don't get to see them all the time, so that would be a good time. Anyway, please mark Megan down as an IO, K9MLR sends radio waves, and we've got Rennie and Tracy out here just being lazy on the couch, so they had a good day, got to get some Christmas Christmas treats and they got to walk in and all that good stuff. So with that, I'm going to send it back to Matt. Thanks for doing it, Brian. 731 K-9 BDC. This is repeaters. Hey, good stuff there, Brooks. We're definitely safe travels to Oklahoma. I hope that's a lot of fun there. And I've never been to Oklahoma myself, but my wife's family, like her mother and extended family, are all in Oklahoma. And she actually went down there to visit this past summer. She hasn't been down there since she was a little kid. So hey, have fun doing that. And hopefully, we just need one more day of work. I've got two more days of work and then a little break here. But then back to work right after that. No rest for the wicked here. So anyway, hopefully your bag tag, you can get all of that done. Did you put your call sign on your bag tag? Hmm. All right. Hey, thanks for that check in there. Waves to K9MLR and IO from her. And we will catch you next time then. All right, last on this round, Arthur, how are you tonight? K-E-7-N-U-I. I think I pulled up your QRZ. It looks like you almost have your own mission control there. I love the radios and they've got a real cool keyboard going on there and stuff. So Arthur, how are you? Yes, thank you so much for that ticket there Shawn. I'm glad someone got a chuckle out of that. You know the word papa in Spanish is a potato. So anyway, although it's la papa for potato, but el papa is the Pope. So you want to make sure that you're using those Spanish pronouns correctly because you don't want to fry the hope with your burger. Yeah. Anyway. All right. Har, har. Hi, hi. All right. Thanks for that check in there, Sean. And hopefully, I think with some All Star Echo link, I don't know if you have access to DMR or something, but I think there's a bunch of ways they could come in. Maybe Jeff can even come back with some of the ways here, but I will let him do that if he would like to. So, all right. I am Brian, K-E-7-K-Z-H. This is the 9 o'clock net, and we're looking to build a new round of check-ins. We're looking for all check-ins or if Jeff wants to come back as well, I'll allow it. Um, but I did notice earlier today and earlier this morning, um, it was slow about giving me the time, so I don't know what's going on. There's been some weird issues lately with stuff, so, um, and that's the second time I caught the echo doing that. Um, so, it, it kind of blew my mind. Thank you, Rebecca. Thank you for doing the net. Yeah, today here it's about 68 degrees out. And it's really sunny off and on. So yeah, kind of a cool day here. And yeah, I've been watching the weather forecast for Seattle on the Cairo pinpoint weather. And yeah, definitely cooler there than it is here in the 50s. See here, the squirrels have been running around out there, eating the peanuts and nuts, and generally having a pretty good time and chasing each other. And boy, can they leap from one place to another. And as a matter of fact, when they're chasing each other, they move like you couldn't believe. Man, they're fast. So it seems to be something they do I wonder what they do if they catch one of each other. Probably don't know what to do with it. So anyway, got my weather station set up here so I can keep an eye on the weather up and down the West Coast and up in Seattle. It's good to see what's going on up there and down in LA and here in the Bay Area. I think there's something else. Oh yeah, the Dodgers won today. They are really dominating now. The playoffs is fun to watch. And I think the Mariners lost today, darn it. I was hoping they'd win. They'll get them tomorrow. So with that, I'll turn it back to Annette. Thanks again for doing it. K9, MLR, Megan, Mobile here in Bellevue with K9, BGC 33. Back to you Rebecca and to all the other WILs out there. It was such a pretty evening out here Rebecca. The moon was still red for a bit when it came out so that was kind of cool because I missed the blood moon last night. I forgot to poke my head out. I'm so tired being back to work the first couple of weeks. Take a while to settle in. The kids are finally settling in so the adults are finally settling in their high high. So yeah, I haven't been as radioactive as I usually am because I'm back to work and like I said things are crazy. But as far as tonight's activity goes, well, we're running to a bit of FTO to 160 and we want to work a few stations in the States on 160 from here. So that's what we're going to do tonight. And I don't know, we might do 40 should be going to the States too tonight, as it usually is. If you've got decent antennas like Steve does, he's got a... an UltraBeam, a three-element... UltraBeam, which is a masterpiece, I call it. I call it his masterpiece because that's what it is. So we'll be to a bit of 40 in 160, I think, tonight and see how we go. But the main band, while I'm here on this weekend, will be the 160-meter antenna, if it is newest antenna. And that's what we'll be focusing on. But anyway, I want the past, when it's a contest, we get down to business and we go pretty hard. It'll just be a nice social catch-up with him and his family tonight, so that'll be good. So, yeah, that's what we've got planned there, Jeff. So, yeah, so anyway, all good on... You mentioned TalkGroup 91 as well on DMR. I've gone off TalkGroup 91. A lot of their audio sounds absolutely terrible. I've really gone off... The audio on DMR, Jeff, is terrible. A few of us locally, we're actually putting up repeaters for P25. And the P25 audio, to me, sounds so... So much better than DMR. I reckon DMR is the worst audio that I've ever heard in communications. That's my view anyway. And all you've got to do is listen to TalkGroup 91 and you're forever adjusting your volume pot up and down because audio levels are just... One person blows your speaker out and then the next person you can barely hear. And it's really bad.
