"text": "And then so here in southern Ontario and parts of cottage country Brussels they were the highest unofficial total they came in a 57 centimeter so about two feet Kitchener they had 36 centimeters Lucknow 24. I remember Lucknow like was it eight years ago. They got They had over 150 centimeters. So that was Five feet of snow. I remember going through Lucknow and they had five feet of snow It's a lot of snow. Barrie, they had over 30 centimeters. I think I saw a report near Springwater. That was about 40 Markdale 27 and Midhurst 21 centimeters respectively and for our Americans friends listening 30 centimeters is approximately one foot Obviously 60 centimeters would be 2 feet. So there's your math 15 centimeters is 6 inches So yeah, so there we have it as far as snow goes us here in the city in Toronto in the Greater Toronto area We escaped most of it, although the extremities of the city, the western and eastern extremities, Halton, they saw a few centimeters out of it. In North Oshawa, they got almost a foot of snow, almost 30 centimeters out of it. So I think they were 22 centimeters or so. So yeah, the urban areas missed most of it, but the edges of the city sure got it. Let me drop it. Located in Shelton, Washington."

"text": " OK, we're back. So I phoned Scott, and he will get organized, make coffee, and be here shortly to run the net. So I'm like that warm up act you have before the band starts. And I'll just start by saying, because I don't really do announcements, two announcements. One is I mentioned this, well, three announcements. Actually, last week I mentioned that our video system, or still images from the high altitude balloon we planned to launch this month, is we have a transmitter board that is stuck due to the Canada Post strike. So until that strike is resolved, we're kind of on a holding pattern, which is a shame, because we really wanted to launch in October. But we'll be able to do it hopefully within a couple weeks of the mail strike ending. Second announcement, IRLP is not working properly. Right now, I think V5 RGM might have bridged the system for us, I'm not sure. But we've had some issues with Reflector 9029. I had an IP address change, and we need to deal with that. So as soon as our friends over at IRLP are able to make a change, we will be back online with IRLP. But otherwise, it's working, just not connected to the Canada Hub. The last thing I have is I will be giving a presentation on Tuesday, this Tuesday, for anybody that's interested, about IRLP Echo Link, the Canada Hub, how you use it, how you use it as a repeater controller, how you use it as a user. Sorry, I'm just waking up here. And that presentation is given to the Radio Amateurs Society of Manitoba. Just pause for a reset."

"text": " KetoFoxTrot5, uniform Charlie Oscar. Thanks for doing a great job Dale. Some cool air finally blew into Texas. When I'm through here I'm going to go outside and enjoy it. It seems like I've been cooped up in the house for months. Well I have been cooped up in the house for months. It could have been hot and humid down here. So, anyway enough about the weather. Not a whole lot to say today. I'm going to tidy up the old shack here a little bit so it's not quite as messy as it should be. I already got through sweeping. That's very interesting I'm sure. And anyway, I want to get a plug in for my net. A couple of nets. On Wednesday at 6 o'clock central time. I'm over on the K6FN server. And you can come over here and join up and play some trivia. And on Friday I have a trivia net on the ALARA. A-L-A-R-A. Dale knows about it. And anyway, I have trivia over there. Nets at 7 o'clock central time. And we need some support on the ALARA net. The new name for the net is the friendship net. So if you got a chance to go over there and want to have some fun, meet some new people and everything. Think about showing up at 7 o'clock central time on the ALARA net here on Ecolink. Okay, that's my plug Dale. I'm going to hand it back to you."

"text": " Yeah, you get caught with something like that here in Canada, Grey, you're going to be in some trouble. Some trouble, some trouble. Man, recently started making it so that... So you almost need a note, a note personally signed by Jesus Christ. To, uh... Have any kind of, uh, self-defense. It's, uh, it's a bit much. And people are starting to speak out. Here in Canada, as crimes get worse, man, people are finally starting to speak out, saying, listen, we can't defend ourselves here in this country. And then they had a cop come on and he was like, well, you can defend yourself, but you have to gauge the amount of force to use based on a situation and blah, blah, blah. I'm thinking to myself, like someone comes into my house at three o'clock in the morning and there's like a couple of dudes. I'm grabbing something and I'm starting to swing. And I'm not going to stop swinging until that threat is either on the floor in the heat or it's gone back out the door again. So, and I mean, at that point, then you've pissed people off big time, right? So then you've got to worry about them coming back. You know, so like, what do you do? I mean, our law enforcement, you can, you can shoot and kill someone here and get released on bail. Like, what the hell? You got murderers like roaming around the streets and stuff. Like the guy that killed my next door neighbor, like he was released that day. Now they got him again, sent and put him back in jail after they did their investigation and found out that it was, it was cold blood murder. But I mean, they knew that he had done it, but they didn't have like all their investigation. So then they didn't go. I mean, he could have just drove to the Western part of the island, jumped aboard the boat and left, left the island. Then they would have had a murder roaming around in, in the mainland, Canada. So, I mean, what do you do? You know, let me tell you, if someone ever invades my house, I got a table leg in the bedroom that's from like an old kitchen table and it's got a big giant bolt going right through the top of it. I'm swinging that shit. I'm swinging it and I'm not going to stop swinging it, like I said, till the threat is gone. And if that results in me ended up in jail or something, I think that'd be the stupidest thing ever. Cause I mean, I'm not out looking for somebody, you know, I'm not out roaming around town with a weapon. You know, the way, as far as I'm concerned, if someone comes into your house, whatever you do to them, should be nice and legal. And I know that's the way it is in a lot of the places in the States, man. If someone puts in your door in the middle of the night and you didn't invite them, I mean, you can, you can cap a guy for that down in the States, but here in Canada, if you hit them with something and hurt them, they can sue you. Like, we can't. These are criminals, burglars that came in the middle of the night and they can sue me if I beat one of them to death or..."
