That's a cool call. Anyway, he's in and out, but Joshua, thank you for checking in this morning. And we have KI5SSR, Jeanette. Okay, Jeanette, looks like it's all yours. The mic is yours."

"text": " All right, so I do want to thank Rebecca and others for filling in for me. I feel like I've had a lot of Sundays that I've been missing lately so hopefully aren't many. There might be another one in December I need to miss. But otherwise, yeah, I was in New York. I took a red eye last week Sunday and my wife got some tickets to a Dawson's Creek reunion. I guess the main actor there, James Van Der Beek, has been diagnosed with colorectal cancer and so they were doing it's actually a benefit for, how do I say this on the air, for foxtrot cancer. We'll keep it like that, keep it clean on the air here. Anyway, so I had all the original cast and stuff and you know honestly I'd never seen the show. I tried to cram and I think I got up to season three before the event just so I kind of knew what was going on. But it was cool that I was at the same theater that Hamilton plays in and then James Van Der Beek was supposed to be there but I guess over the weekend he got a couple stomach bugs and stuff. So Lin-Manuel Miranda actually stepped in to do his part there so it's cool to see him as well. And it was just very well received. The audience was going nuts over everything. A lot of, let's see, this was a show that was in the 90s and very target demographic would be female teenage, late teenage sort of thing and stuff. And so there's a lot of like 40 something year old women. It's probably 95% women there if I'm just totally honest. And just oh the energy was like nuts and all the hoops and hollers and I yeah I should have brought earplugs. It was loud. My Apple Watch kept being like you had 104 decibels. You can't like that'll cause permanent human damage. Anyway, good show there. We were able to like hit, let's see, let me reset real quick. I did a lot here. It's hard to pack into a quick check in here but yeah I went to 30 Rock up to the top there. Some excellent views. I had my ham radio. No contacts from the top of 30 Rock. On the way down we did run into Tom Yamas who's the anchor of the NBC Nightly News. He was very very nice. Took a selfie with us. Very very nice person. He did not need to do that. Just happened to run into him. We were walking out of the building as his driver was dropping him off and a nice little exchange there. Anyway, we also just what else? The Central Park all that good stuff. Top of the Empire State Building. Once again had my HT. Was calling out 146.52. Nothing. I called out from every side of the top of that building thinking my reach must be wide and far. No responses. But I did send out some mesh-tastic messages from the top of the Empire State Building and got responses. People were excited that I was on top of that building there. So mesh-tastic for the win for my only sort of radio contacts while I was there. Anyways good stuff. We ended up, we saw the late show with Stephen Colbert. Saw the filming of that. Just kind of piled around. We were staying right near Times Square and just kind of hung out and got some good New York pizza and all that good stuff. It was definitely a whirlwind coming home Thursday morning. Alarm was set for 4.45 a.m. So 1.45 a.m. local time. Five hour flight home. Light rail back home up here to Marysville. I was home for literally 20 minutes and then three hour drive to Yakima for a two and a half hour rehearsal. Needless to say I was completely exhausted. But got it all done. Had a nice concert in Yakima last night. Played Beethoven 6. Came home. Got home about 12.15, 12.30 a.m. ish and on call for work. Had to be up at 6 a.m. this morning. Let me reset."

So I wish you and everybody on the net and the Swedish gentlemen, I worked with some of your lads from the Swedish Navy over here a few years ago. And I really love the Bizby, I really love the Bizby and I'm sure you know what that one is. Anyway, 73 gentlemen, take care. 83 RZY, did it, did it, did it, did it."

"text": " But this year, nothing. Because generally this year, I blacked out, fell down, hit my head, and when I woke up, I immediately called 911 on the phone that was around my neck. And then it took them almost two hours to get to me. But I'm still in hospital. They've shifted me around to Ottawa and did some surgery on me there. And now I'm back to Cornwall Hospital. But my whole station is in my apartment. And I can't bring it here to the hospital. But I sure miss it. I've even got an open spot tree. But I really, really miss a lot. But anyway, that's about the extent of my recent endeavors into amateur radio. I really, really miss using my radios. I'm currently on a cell phone with... What am I on? I don't know. I feel like it. Yeah. So, I'm making good contacts on here. It's just that there's no DX or anything like that. Although there is a station on Ecolin that gets 10m coming in once in a while. That's rather interesting. I haven't done 10m work since the early 2000s. Anyway, we'll say 73. And hope everybody else is doing well. Turn it back in that control. This is VE3XID. Out."
