Like others, I'm not saying anything negative about anybody else, but you really do a good job. I was a little bit concerned because after I got connected into the net, I began using higher LP because of the good quality audio. So, while Arthur was just starting his round, I got a voice coming across saying that I had been disconnected for some technical violation of things. I have no idea what that's about, so I'm quickly trying to get reconnected, which I did right as Art was finishing his comments. I don't know why I knew what he said, because I was trying to get reconnected, but again, I've never heard of the Michigan system canceling my connection. That's strange. Anyway, on the question of the day, I actually had a very good day yesterday after church. Julie and I had brunch and came home and I had some paperwork to take care of. Bank and credit card stuff and that financial stuff took a nap. Then I ended up taking one of my neighbors here, who lost her significant other earlier this year, out. We went out to Julie's for a late afternoon dinner last night and ended up having a wonderful conversation for almost two hours. Gracie is her name and we're well on our own, missing our spouse. So, we both had a chicken salad for dinner, which was very good and a wonderful conversation in almost two hours. Came home and then I went to bed. It was a great day. Anyway, I guess I'll turn in now back to you, Dave. AB7DW wishing everybody a wonderful day. Looking forward to hearing from friends also. Not doing too bad. Had a pretty nasty week this last week. Had some medical issues I had to work through. But we're back on now and yeah, at least I can see you again. That's a good thing. I had some problems with the cornea in my eye, so took care of that. And right now, 72 degrees here in Aloha, Oregon, which is about 15 miles west, due west of Portland, Oregon. And Portland seems to think they own us over here, but not really. It's a separate town anyway. 72 degrees right now. Yesterday we hit the triple digit mark. I hit 100 here. And about 50% humidity, so it was really sticky. Not quite as sneaky as that where you guys are, but we're here. That's pretty high humidity. Anyway, today we're going to be just kind of resting in. We'll see if I can beat the eyes a little bit so I can see things again. And that'll be a good thing. A really good thing. So we'll turn it back over to you, Robert, and hope you guys are doing well. And Kathy and everybody out there is well. And your bunker is not, I can't point it out, or too much heat for you guys out there. Anyway, back over to you, AB7DW out here in Aloha, Oregon. You talk about heat and humidity. I swear yesterday I stepped out, and it was like walking right to us on a moon, literally. And it smells like it's a swamp. Oh, my goodness. Well, I'm glad you got the cornea thing worked out, or at least that you're on your way to staying straight. That's always good news. And yeah, we've had some medical issues here recently. Kathy ended up in the hospital with an infection, but she's fighting it with very strong antibiotics, and she's starting to feel herself again. So we don't like to talk about that kind of stuff on the radio a lot, but yeah, everybody has medical issues from time to time. And Dave, you take care, and we'll catch you down the line. And wow. How do you do it, boy? I'll tell you what. Come on over this way. All right. Take care, Dave. W8HUB, Haba Haba, good morning. Good morning. The sun is shining. It was cloudy before. We had a lot of rain last night. A lot of lightning. And my house has got really good color windows, so I don't hear any thunder before the lightning. It's raining tonight, so everybody in from here, take care. Hello, everybody. This is J.R.H.2, WMA and H.U.B. Well, good hearing from you again. You take care, and hopefully the day treats you well. We got a bunch of new stations this morning. I think that is just fantastic and the more the merrier. If you didn't get a chance to pick up the mic today, well, tomorrow's another day. And we encourage you to do so. We don't bite out here unless invited. Chomp, chomp, chomp. 7-3 everybody, have a fantastic day. Catch Russell out here tomorrow. Josh on Friday. Kevin on Saturday. Not sure, or maybe Dee on Saturday. Not sure who's covering on Sunday, but Gray's back out here on Monday. And then we start it all over again. 7-3 everybody, stick around for the worldwide friendship net. They are about 14 minutes into their net. So, please stand by. Wait for their net control to call for check-ins before you throw out your call. 7-3, and all the best from here on the rocket. This is E01, UKZ. It's not a comfortable place to be. And yeah, I'm doing it for Zoe. She's in for me. And I'll do it next week to get back on track with the regular schedule of their boss. So, and we'll run it by you if there are any changes you get in their rotation. But you never know. It's like a box of cookies, right? Anyway, all right, thank you very much for being there. And oh, Joe, thank you for being there in the background as well. All right, let's move on and upward. Get some more check-ins, or whatever. And you know, later on in the net, we'll take rejects. Or rejects, but yeah. Let's roll on. Talk about stumbling and mumbling, that's me. Call me mumbles on a Wednesday morning. All right, look at the check-ins. Twice, slowly, and phonetically. And the road hazard victim wiping up the rear. Sorry about that. Anybody who was trying to check in, who didn't make it, come down. All-Star, Note 6222, located in Shelton, Washington. Control, this is killer, 7 Yaki Fox Echo. Hello, Charlie 7, Yaki Fox Echo, Darryl R. Robert, Martin Robert, just got in, man. And we're glad to have you. Alright, let's see. We've added, are we? 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 is enough. Yeah, you guys are enough for me, for sure. Alright, enough joking around. V01 UKZ, good morning, Darryl. Well, a very good morning to you, Robert. I hope you're having a good day, man. What the heck? Why did my phone just start playing music all of a sudden? Hmm. Audio message. Oh, okay, I know what that was. Alright, now that I'm straightened away here, I hope you're having a good day. I just finished calling the Kalabunga Net, and we had a good conversation over there this morning. You know, as political as ever. It's subject to it in the news, you know, being heavily covered in the news, so it inevitably got discussed, so I'm about the size of that. And while on my way to get the bike fixed, I've got a temporary job from my uncle. He runs a bus company, and they're doing transport back and forth for the Canada Games this year, until the 28th of August, and he needs those buses cleaned out in the evenings, so I'm going to do that, and that's going to be able to give me the rest of what I needed to get the bike fixed up there, so looking forward to that, that's for sure. And yeah, so that's really all I got going on, man. Nothing really serious happening here except the fires. We've got the outer part of St. John's currently on fire with a massive wildfire. They did issue mandatory evacuations last night for a section of the town next to ours called Paradise. The area called Three Island Pond in Paradise, Newfoundland is under mandatory evacuation because of wildfire concerns, and another area called Southlands, which is part of St. John's here itself, is under a wait-and-see evacuation order. It's recommended that people get out now, but if you don't want to, they're just on a wait-and-see for the complete evacuation order there, the mandatory one. So hopefully they get that fire under control. They've got six water bombers now that are back and forth from sunup to sundown, a thousand that thing, and they've been doing that for the last couple of days with four water bombers, and they just brought in two more from Quebec. That'll be six that they've got working very, very vigorously trying to get these fires knocked down. We often don't get them in eastern Newfoundland where it's currently burning on the Avalon Peninsula or where I live, so really hope that they don't spread any further. But last I heard, they had something like 200 firefighters and six water bombers working on that thing, so hopefully they get it knocked down soon. Other than that, man, it's back over to you, 73, and all the best from here on the rock. Wow, that went from good news to bad news. I'm glad you're getting the bike fixed, and yeah, good deal on that job. It sounds like it came at the right time for sure. And you guys never have any good conversations over there at the California Nutt, do you? It's never controversial either. And the fires, I guess paradise isn't so paradise-y, huh? Well, you have a wonderful day if you can, and maybe put on a face mask as Art always says, no matter where you are. Oh my goodness, you guys are really going through it up there, and I wish you all the best there. Keep us informed. I'm sure with all those bombers and firefighters, they should put it out really, really quickly. One should hope. But you're not too far from the water, so you can always take a little step, right? All right, like I said, we've got the Canadian contingent here, and I love Canadian. It's one of my favorite problems. Oh, only kidding. Here at 6GR is that good money for you. GV2R2QVA6GR said, hey Brooklyn, Bobby, how you doing? We're doing OK. The weather is shitty. Oh, excuse me, crappy. That better work. I had to check myself there. We got 15 Celsius climbing to 16. Not 15, 16. Very cloudy and showers. Yeah, I was saying about the thunder lightning storms they had, well, we had them last night, too. It was pretty close, I tell you. I'm glad I came downstairs and disconnected the antennas from the coax cable from the radios so they don't get fried if they ever get struck. But my antennas are down fairly low. They're like 25 feet above ground. But you never know. They can be, turn my radio down there, they're chunking on one of the local repeaters. You never know, they can be a lightning rod. Undergrounded. So, anyway. And there's much else going on today. I'm going to go pick up my acoustic bass. It was in the shop on the McCoy North side. So I'll go get that after the net. It's about 8 o'clock, part time. So, here in Alberta. And Tracy's gone to work and she's been fighting a flu. Must have started with a hab in the cold coming back from the island a couple, beginning of the month. Pardon me, the end of July. So, anyway. Ya'll have a good day. Bye for now. Thank you, my mate. KBTR2286TRZ. You're a zit, huh? Hey Bill, how you doing? And I like your description of the weather. Crappy. Oh my goodness. You Canadians are funny people. I'm glad you have a sense of humor, bud. You need it around me, that's for sure. And your wife likes to work for the flu. That's what I call sharing, for sure. Alright, thanks a lot Bill. We'll check you down in a while. Next up is AP-17W. I said there's no way I would do reflectometry where they can actually get away from your glasses completely. Not after this session. I'd be afraid to have both of them done at the same time. Let's see, we're probably going to do food shopping this morning over at Wawa or Wally World. Other than that, just chilling out in the house today. Might do some work in the garage. This is a never ending job. I'm redesigning the garage to get all the stuff off the floor and into racks and stuff like that. Hanging up new tool hangers rack to get the tools organized and stuff like that. Good hearing you on Gina. I'm hoping Barbara and Clarice are having a fantastic time on their cruise. And we're going to be doing Vietnamese cuisine which will be fun. This place we're going is one of my favorite restaurants. So we'll see how it works. As far as broken bones, oh good lord. I think I've had at least six while I was growing up between birth and about 14. I have a very active child and we had a couple of broken bones in the arm and leg and whatever. But the major one was in 2073 I was riding my motorcycle to work and had a very serious accident on that bike and somebody pulled out on a turn right in front of me, like two feet in front of me and I slammed into the door. That put me in a body cast for almost a year. I'm pretty lucky to be walking as I am right now. You know I've been down to see you and I do walk with a severe limp and that's because I busted the ankle and a knee in that accident. So yeah, I've had my fair share of broken bones during my younger years. Not anymore. I've been pretty lucky in that respect. So we'll see how it goes. I've been on here about 72 times around the sun so we'll see how many more times we can get around it without messing ourselves up here. I am going to be away next weekend. We're doing a camping trip next weekend, four days, and Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday with the families and what's left of it here for me. And I think that'll be fun. We'll have a good time. Hey, Barbara, I just found out, and for anybody listening to this and doesn't know what I'm talking about, there's a, they finally fixed the bump on Route 26. And Route 26 is a major arterial east to west between here and the coast. They had that thing so screwed up last year that they had cars launching off of that bump, and it was substantial into trees and stuff. So have a good rest of your Sunday there, Eric. And then I've got Dave, AB7DW and Bud, K5EWH on the list. And then Marvin was also in and out, KM4SMV there on the list. So you have a good Sunday as well there, Marvin. I mean I was a little disturbed about that and I kept getting kicked out or whatever you know it would be timed out and all that but I'm finally back in and you disregard the text message I sent because I was going to try it that way and get checked in by text because I do that sometimes even with the Roy KSM PKL or have been lately with the Alaska Morning Net because my band cop workout with my friends moved to Friday instead of Thursday so anyway as far as Labor Day, it kind of reminded me back in my childhood when I had to get on that nice big trail ways bus and go back to Braille jail, hi, hi but I haven't really worked that much but I remember working for about a year or so in Grants Pass and taking Labor Day off and going back in but actually I like to make my honor known to all those hard working people out there and keep up the good work in your jobs there so with that, AB7DW thank you for the net in spite of all the technical problems and stuff going on. This is KC7YFE but anyway let's keep coming back."},{"callsign_confidence":0.98,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-09-10T08:30:03+00:00","id":36569,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":36568,"text":" Well, good morning and good morning everybody on the net this morning from the Pacific Northwest. Let's see what we've got here. About 60 degrees right now outside. It's getting nice and cool. We're going to be backing up the trailer and going over it once and twice and getting ready for this weekend. It will be out Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. A camping trip out on the river, or near the river anyway. One of them, one of the many, many rivers out here. I think it will be fun. We're camping with the kids and the grandchildren. I think it will be a fun time. As long as it doesn't rain too hard. We're expecting a little bit of rain over the weekend. We'll see how it goes. I was thinking about doing tent camping and then I thought twice about it and said, I don't think so, not this year. There we go. We'll just turn it back over to you, Robert, and let you get on with the net as it were. We're in mobile right now coming in and we're going to be fiddling around in the car and getting that ready to go too. Back over to you, AB7DW. Yes, on the west coast. There you go. Back to you."},{"callsign_confidence":0.98,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-09-04T08:36:43+00:00","id":31995,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":31994,"text":" Okay, Rosie. By the way, is this any better? Like I say, I pushed my boom mic way up and out of the way and I'll try to talk a little bit quieter there until I can figure this out. But hopefully this is better. We only got 63.7 degrees and it was 91% humidity. So, anyway, you might need to get some of that weather from Oregon there where they got up in the 90s that they're talking about. So, maybe I can shift that over to you, Rosie, and heat you up there a little bit. So, thanks a lot for the re-check. I appreciate it. You know, re-check is fine. Sometimes when somebody's doing it a whole bunch of times or whatever and we've got people waiting to get in, that was a problem. But as long as we can get everybody in, re-check, we put them at the bottom of the list. So, hey, that's fine and dandy. So, I think everything will go along right. All right, got an AB7DW up next. Dave, go ahead."},{"callsign_confidence":0.98,"confidence":null,"created_at":"2025-09-04T09:02:22+00:00","id":32019,"node_number":"oldsys","recording_id":32018,"text":" Alpha, Bravo 7, Delta Vista AB 7DW."}]}
