That's pretty cool. Well, we've got Bordeaux and Lake of Cheese and Seattle all all webbed together by the magic, the intertubes. Yeah, very cool. Let's see, that was Brooks. Let's go down to California. Well, we are on a trek tonight. We're all over the place. We're going down to California and talk to Jeff, AB6MD. Come in, Jeff. Okay, thank you very much. Thank you for doing the net. Yeah, just sitting here listening to the world's largest dishwasher and the kitchen doing the dishes. It's really loud. It's not proofing or anything. It was a foreign subject for them."

I went another four years to try it again. Oh, I'm glad you had a good day. It was not too bad. I mean, it was actually warm. We got up to fifth in the 20s here lately, so I was very appreciative of the day. And then it was even sunny, partially. It was a good day. Not today, it was another... My wife went back to work because she said she was going to stay home yesterday. That was her present to me, which was fantastic because she never took my birthday off. I mean, you know, test done. I think I want to be getting hearing aids."

"text": " OK, thank you. Thank you very much for tuning in. Yeah, this is Jeff, AB 6MB on the San Francisco Bay. Well, I'm looking at my weather station for Seattle. I'm seeing wind gusts of 10 miles an hour near where Shawn is in downtown Seattle. And I see the temperature is 49 degrees up there. Boy, that's cold. 49, brr. And it looks like you got a little rain coming down, too, from the rain gauge. So yeah, I got to see a big bunch coming over on this one system. So maybe I get all this off the TV, but I thought I'd just come in with my part. These weather stations are great. Down in Los Angeles today, on my other weather station, they were at 93. Yes, 93 today. And then for the Bay Area, we are down about 68 degrees here. So right now it's 62 degrees here, and the barometer's going up. Anyway, so the squirrels are running around, as usual. I had to order some more nuts and peanuts for them, and I've been going through them pretty quick. So I had to order more than I normally would. So they're hungry little guys, but they're fun to watch, and they earn their keep. I watched the Dodgers tonight, and they lost, and both teams were pretty thinned out from the 18 inning game yesterday. I wasn't too surprised. One or the other was probably not gonna do well. So with that, I'll turn it back to the net. Thank you very much for doing it again. This is AB 6MD."

"text": " Okay, Bill, thank you very much for doing the net. Hello to Rich. Good to hear you. Yeah, that's too bad about the shootings. That's part of the life in the big city. And I'm not trying to make fun of it. It's just kind of part of the life. And meanwhile, here in the San Francisco Bay area, where we never have stuff like that happen. Not. Anyway, down here it was sunny and nice out today. And I'm kind of the weather reporter, getting almost every day out. I just want to record it. It was 72 degrees out, a little bit of wind. And the squirrels on my patio were busy running around, grabbing nets and running off with them to bury them or eat them. Somewhere else, sometimes they eat them right there. I always have water for them. They definitely use it because I have to fill it up fairly often, every other day or so. But anyway, they keep me entertained. I watched baseball today and the skill is good and some football. And I've been getting back in the chest. I'm studying chest right now and trying to get the baytees down again so I don't make bad moves or blunders, as they say in chest speak. But I've been thoroughly enjoying watching videos and seeing them get played and that sort of thing. And I can tell my brain likes it. It just seems like it's more weight. And I don't like my age. I'm like 71. And I want my body back. So I had a game a few years ago where just everything worked fine. And it was fairly strong and that. And now it's not so much. But it's just annoying. Nothing dramatic, but it's annoying. In fact, I was busy complaining here. But anyway, it's good to hear everybody out there tonight. I really enjoy the net up here on the Puget Sound Repeater System. I talk about it on the Pop The System. We've had a couple come up here and join us. I think they are a couple of great people. Anyway, with that, we turn it back to the net, AB6MD. AB6MD, K7WFB. Well, thank you. Well, that chest does sound like good brain training for an older brain. I try and do stuff like that. Keep yourself alert. And yeah, it does kind of wake you up a little bit. Talking about aging bodies, I was watching the Mariners. I am a fair weather baseball fan. I don't watch except this kind of stuff, playoffs. Watching the games over recently and last night and looking at those, what are they, 20-something, 30-something men in superb shape. It's just wonderful to see what a well-trained body can do. Those incredible catches, that hitting. It's very, very impressive. Sports is really fun to watch like that. It's very good. Let's see. Let's move on from Jeff to Rob, KN7ALY. Come ahead."

"text": " TA3F-DIA, and it's actually Ontario, the province before that. But, thinking about the same project I might do with the radio, I want to make a broadcast of Vice Station, specifically be able to rackmount it. And, maybe use a Raspberry Pi as well. And, I'm not sure what to use on the radio. And, I don't really want something expensive, or something cheap that won't really work. I could use a BaoFang UV5R, but there's $70 in Canada, which is over my budget over radio there. I could be looking on eBay for something cheap, maybe a used BaoFang. Maybe a scanner, a base scanner that could probably last $50 or more. But, yeah, that's the project I've been thinking about. Be able to rackmount it, use a Raspberry Pi, and definitely have a UBS battery backup on it. And, looking into it as well. I didn't really do much today, it's the weekend. I got tomorrow off. I had today off from work, I worked Friday. And, Monday back to school. Everything is all fixed up at school, finally. Every year that happens. But, yeah, I went for a little drive today, worked at my parallel parking, as I'm getting my license the 11th of September. And, I'm getting excited, but a little nervous as well. It's coming soon. And, be able to drive alone the remainder of 11 months until I have to take another test for my license to never expire. And, if I don't do that, I have to redo everything. Redo the road test, the rules of the road, and everything else. It's a little weird how they do it here. But, the broadcast device stations fall into use with a high repeater. And, then you're not going to have a lot of broadcast from any municipal or government agencies or anything that isn't yours. But, you can transmit broadcast and with your radio into the internet. Even if you're not ham licensed. It's a little weird, but you can't broadcast anything else. You can if they're committed to you by the government or you have permission from that, written permission and a permit, I believe. You can broadcast it to the internet. But, I'm planning on using the ham repeaters in my area. I've done it before with an SDR, but it was really, really bad. So, I always have to adjust the scroach every day. And, it just became a full time job. And, I just want something where I can set up and not worry about it. And, there's also an SC where if I transmit it onto those local repeaters, it would also make the SDR a little bit a little weird. It wouldn't even pick up the transmissions when I transmitted. So, I've been trying to solve that issue as well. And, also when I receive it with the battle thing, AB-5RS, it's going to be located in the basement server room. That's where I want to wrap up. And, yeah, I'm going to hand it back now. Thanks for taking my check in. VA3, FBN, back to net."

"text": " Digital I enjoy. In fact they have a protocol, a 16 channel digital protocol for all the streaming protocols for redundant data, the IP stack stuff for digital radio and television or multiple streams through different carriers to the transmitter sites usually. Yeah, and also software and control and multiplexing and buffering and stuff that those systems require. But I find it's really interesting with Abberhole it's just all out there waiting for stations to buy up because everybody is doing this stuff. It's kind of nice. I still enjoy my 3M FM 88.1 reception from CBC when the propagation is good to up there and bad toward my southwest. It comes in fine, CBC, but the analog is kind of weak. Anyways, KJ7VEU have a good night. KJ7VEU, well first of all I want to mention, well you mentioned that 5-element EI to get it on the simplex, but I see you were nailing the Magnolia repeater rather ear alone, so I guess you're still using that EI game just pointed it right at Magnolia I guess. Anyway, sounds great. And you certainly have a rabbit hole there in that video stuff. I know nothing about that. So that's great to see. You can dig into that stuff and really get some out of it. Let's move on now down to California and talk to Jeff AB6MD."
